As expected the “harsh old man” is the shooter.
This actor is amazing at playing authoritarian and rued old men. He’s El Temur in Empress Ki, one of the most believable villains.
Also father of ML in 9. But yet, very harsh father. 🙂
@IB it’s one of those things I accept and bestin the interest of time, however, how did OLd Man Shooter know where to be and when? That gets to me sometimes.
THe old man is on rampage and tried also to kill cop guy + IT friend. Crazy old dude. You are too old for this shit! ^^
@WE, this actor cannot play soft roles. His features do not allow it!!
So the title of this episode is “A boy meets a girl”. That’s because JC never knew that he’d met a girl before when he met ‘Chestnut’.
Poor HJ thinks she changed the future but made it worse.
At the height of her tears, good news comes.
He has a voice-over and flashbacks while he’s comatose and dying. Allowed only in kdramas. 😀
I can’t help it but find HJ’s crying is so unconvincing.
Then it’s HJ’s turn to collapse LOL.
We come to the secretaries togther scene. All JC’s piled up work is to be distributed. LOL Hyang Mi cries now like she loves JC but it’s shallow andshe will hate him again later. I like that other secretary who said that.
LOL @WE, are cdramas and other dramas not able to have dying comatose characters with voiceovers and flashbacks??? LOL.

@GB. The harsh old man is dry. He orders something in a rude way, and you don’t discuss, it’s like that and not otherwise. He’s so scary you can’t even discuss and piss your pant, like the villain in 9, submissive to authority (and pesting in hatefull way in his mind). 😀 😀 😀

Ouuhh, just 2 months in hospital and everything’s all right. Yet I don’t see what could be done in another way. I’m still a bit disappointed. I don’t think any dream helped to makes his situation better.

So Lee YB says something suspicious since he speaks of data that can be fabricated. It’s likely that he did that as prosecutor.
The prosecutors are finally getting it; they realize that the snake YB is possibly the mastermind behind the shooting. Planting ideas into the old man’s head and indirectly pushing him to kill JC.
@GB, yes the brother has a friend here. The boy with bruise on his face. I can’t remember well, was he assaulted by other high-scholers in a previous episode?
@FF Snake wants to take away Mr Choi to work for him but Choi worries that he might have fabricated info for Snake without knowing it before.
@WE, yes the friend of Seung Won was provoked by other students and attacked them to defend his father who is in prison.
Oh we have a make-up application interlude. But it’s not to sell the cosmetics?
So HJ hears JC’s reasons for wanting to talk to Shooter Yoo. To tell him that just because he was angry or had hatred and didn’t know the truth, it didn’t make the shooting right.

@WE So we have the metaphor of the escalator and riding it up and down when HJ is in 2 minds about whether to tell the truth or pretend a lie.

I think I have mentioned before JC is always consistent and steadfast in his views and values.
@GB, I can’t imagine a five minutes scene with him doing back and forth in this escalator to complete 10 ones, except in Hospital Playlist. 😀
JC can’t figure it out … he remembers everything so clearly but HJ says she forgot. It’s not one of those things that can be easily forgotten.
@FF, yes I remember you said that before about JC. I like that he’s consistent.
Now he gets tested by the little boy patient, Prosecutor Son’s son LOL. The police also start to doubt that he’s really a Prosecutor.
JC hugs the wrong person, oops.

First HJ goes to JC and he doesn’t want.
And now JC goes to HJ but she doesn’t want.
What changed her mind?

@WE, there’s something that HJ does not want to admit or face. Such a turn around.
At the same time we see that Pros Son speaks of changing her attitude about what she’s concerned about when it rains. Will someone meet an accident and give a kidney to her son instead of oops! did I keep the clothes and close the windows so that the rain won’t come in?
@WE, now there’s proof that HJ is lying so she cannot continue in the lie after all.
@GB, damn this proof is kinda on the nose.

The change in perspective that Pros Son spoke of… there’s a change in perspective when JC found out that HJ was Chestnut ie he’d hit a girl.
From his perspective, meeting Chestnut was good because she’d saved his life but from her persepective, she was ashamed because she’d wanted to let him die together with the ahjusshi.
Now we come to the perspective of JC as he faces his would be killer, Yoo who’s dying. He changes perspective and attitude when he considers what Yoo had lost.
“You are a wound for me. I can’t see you anymore”.
AAHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!
@WE, you call that a reason?
@IB, the anger and resentment of old man Yoo was like a festering wound. HJ’s words about the regrets she had about wanting to let someone die out of her own anger and hate were like scars.
Understanding this, JC changes tack and takes the perspective of old man Yoo. He understands why he wanted to kill him and acknowledges how good his daughter had been. He assures him that she was not murdered because of how good she was… this heals the wound of the parents in that statement.
So nice to see that at least the mother apologises to JC. And she reads his notes.
@WE, you’re watching a different show from us!!! LOL. I guess one of the characters might have end up saying that but I’m glad there was none of that melo stuff.
@FF ah HJ dreams that JC runs out in the rain to meet her. Crazy JC… how can the hospital just let him walk out like that!!! (We cannot in Singapore hospitals, I know, I saw people trying LOL)

So this dream where JC could have had an infected wound in the rain, HJ did manage to change by meeting him.
More truth comes out about 13 years ago. They both had moments when they hesitated about saving Ahjusshi.
He almost died in an alternative future because she said him the harsh words. Ouch. But ok, with dream manipulation, she couldn’t prevent that now.
I bet there will be a KISS soon.

A Great Kiss. How many times do we flash back and forward from her dream to now — and at the end the horizontal split screen in case your head was whirling with the fast changes in lighting.
I always find it funny/strange how characters have been together for a long time and then speak to each other as if they are meeting for the first time… like now after the kiss. Heh!
@GB, my father did! He escaped from the hospital and the staff found only after an hour or so. They made a police report, and the police went round searching for him for 4 hours in the night.
@WE, yes I was noticing the split scene and wondering why the colours were different. So HJ changed some of the dream but not the kissing part LOL.
Did she initiate the kiss in order to get the kiss going? Possibly because in the split screens he is shown to initiate, but that could be in response to her first kiss.
Have to go, someone is impatiently waiting with a plate of (mildly) curried chicken in hand.

I’m rewatching the differently coloured scenes and trying to decipher which is dream and which is real. I think she initiated in both?
@WE, I pity the actors standing in the wet for ages for the length of time it takes to shoot the kiss scene from multiple angles.
@GB, he walked home from the hospital. Took him about 3-4 hours, its crazy.

@Gb, I think the blue scene is the dream.
@FF I think nowadays it’s harder to get out. There’re people at the gantries and we have to be able to tap our ICs in and out. Your dad must have been all dressed to go home with his IC. … but without a wallet for money and bus card?!?! Didn’t want to call home and ask for someone to come and get him?
@FF, yes the yellower lighted scenes are the real ones and the bluer scenes are the dreams. So they were similar. HJ made sure that she didn’t change that part of the dream LOL.
