Hi all. I have managed to get thoroughly behind (I got stuck on Ep12). I won’t join tomorrow (my time). And am unlikely to join until the next rewatch (although we will see, maybe I will catch back up). I did skim all the comments. I also have a procedure on Monday and so am going to spend Saturday morning at the farmer’s market and enjoy what I hope will be a nice autumn day.
@FF, I saw your post about your mother passing. My sincere condolences. My parents died almost 5 years ago within 1 month of each other. It is no longer raw, but the loss is profound in a way that is difficult to articulate. It’s as though a part of yourself is missing that you did not realize was there; suddenly you are all that stands between yourself and death. I was numb for months. Hang in there.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
Hi @SD! And thanks @pkml3!!
All the best on your procedure. I trust it will be quick and relatively painless and that you’ll recover quickly.
Yes, come back anytime to read us and leave a comment. I hover around here!!
Take care!
ibisfeather
@SD-best wishes.

I have become a fan of LJS, but I was still happily surprised by the clips from his recent fan-meeting tour. They prepared a dance routine with 5(?) dancers and his movement is so crisp and joyous. I have been enjoying his goofy loose limbed pro JC in WYWS and had fallen into the trap of confusing character with actor.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
Hi @IB, so the LJS spell has hit you?
ibisfeather
Hi @GB
Smiling and starting….
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
I’ll start in 1 minute… I think @WE’s clock is still 6-7 minutes slow LOL.
feifei
Hi @SD, thank you for your kind words. Talking about my mum still makes my emotions well up but time will heal things up. I will reach that point someday.
Ibisfeather
What a paternal scolding!
Is there a title ? I don’t see it…
WEnchanteur
Hi here.
feifei
Let’s start @GB.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
We have STARTED!!
The cute scenes of Mr Choi shouting out his concern for the 2 young people. His own hand is badly hurt but he only thinks about them.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
Hi @WE and @FF
The touching scene and nice music to underscore the warm relationship between Mr Choi and JC.
WEnchanteur
Hi IF, GB, FF
My PC clock is 5 minutes late.
I compared with my laptop.
I don’t know why and if I can fix it, because it probably update live.
WEnchanteur
Oh, Fixed!! I clicked manually on “synchronise” in windows.
ibisfeather
I’ll go back 5.
feifei
Hi @IB, @WE.
I like the way Choi scolded the two, he so worried for them. Finally JC asked Choi how he knows that they are there.
I wonder if Choi dreams of JC or HJ or both.
WEnchanteur
I’m no more retarded. 🙂
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
LOL @WE… nevermind, just start 2 minutes earlier.
We have the scene where it’s payback so to speak… JC makes a fool of himself in the bathroom without seeing that HJ is in his house listening to him. That’s what happened to her before when she didn’t know he was in her house.
Ibisfeather
Oops, back to 6min
feifei
@IB, LJS is so cute and adorable in this drama.
WEnchanteur
A black and white cat outside the house.
There are always cats neirby.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
OK @WE,… I’m at 6:44 minutes timestamp now.
Looks like Snaky Lee has a stalker.
ibisfeather
@ff. I laughed from when he came out of the bathroom until the dream came up again!
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
LOL @WE, starting slower is called ‘retarded’??
Now we have the nice parallel cross cut scenes explaining the thoughts of both the reporters and the prosecutors, where sentences in 1 location are completed in another.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@FF I think Choi only dreams of JC.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@WE, but the cat has no bearing on the story.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
Poor Mr Choi is under suspicion.
@IB The episode title is “Catch Me If You Can”
Ibisfeather
Miao — is it coordinated with an arrival or a manifestation of the same sound in rom-com tracks of the era and self-referential..
Now I am so behind..slow thinker who uses long words
ibisfeather
Thanks @gb
feifei
Choi is so funny, Hyang Mi say that she hopes that god will send a nice man like U-tak to her, he replied that U-tak did nothing wrong to deserve that.
WEnchanteur
@GB, I’m not sure if the play with words works in english.
But in french:
être retardé = be late because of a time problem.
and…
être retardé = be a mental retard.
Yes, the exact same words. 😉
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
There’s a conflict of interest now so JC is sad he cannot work with Mr Choi on the case.
Everyone can see the necessity of Mr Choi being left out of the investigation but JC is thinking only with his heart.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@FF well Hyang Mi made sure Mr Choi suffered for that comment.
WEnchanteur
Someone asked JC to investigate about Choi case.
Mmh, not sure to remember who, it was Lee ?
ibisfeather
The lettuce in the mouth trope used to lighten subtly a difficult moment with utal
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@WE, yes the same word but saying that you’re no longer retarded is sooooo funny!!!
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@WE, actually the son of the wrong accused Dr Myung asked that his father’s case be reinvestigated by JC.
In the process of finding out more people died after Dr Myung was arrested, M rChoi and Snaky Lee come under suspicion for a bad investigation of Myung.
feifei
It is a rare occassion that JC is thinking with his heart, we U-tak reminding him that he should stay rational referencing back to Hak Kyeong case.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
LOL our Prosecutor Lee looks horrible with long hair and he keeps moving like he thinks he looks attractive.
ibisfeather
Is it better to ask and know the truth (choi problem)?
Is it better to maintain a (white) lie? U tak and colorblindness/recognition of the children
The investigation by the prosecutors vs the reporters. Who takes responsibility for the truth…
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
Wow stalker is scary… sending such messages to Snaky Lee to show him that he’s being watched.
Now Myung Dae Goo remembers HJ and how she pestered his father with questions.
feifei
Prosecutor Lee as a decoy! Lol so funny, Pro Lee with long hair.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@FF Pros Lee trying to behave so hip when he looked so terrible LOL.
ibisfeather
Camerawork and actor, despite being the villain we feel how he feels while being stalked
feifei
The stalker is watching the snake.
WEnchanteur
I wonder if Lee could be in danger for the first time. Maybe it will push him to change? It sounds logical to me that his arc is the last one because he’s hardboiled.
Here I just forgot the drama, as I watched this part only one time, a long time ago.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@FF I like that Snaky Lee gets to feel scared and intimidated by an invisible stalker.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@WE The kind of danger that Snaky Lee finds himself in is not the kind that will take his physical life. His reputation, job etc maybe.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
When the prosecution cannot make headway, Snaky Lee used the media to stir up public sentiment and planted false evidence.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
From his interview with HJ we find out that Snaky Lee only dated her to use her to spread his lies if possible.
WEnchanteur
Karma is coming for Lee who did bad things in the past, like manipulate a verdict… 🙂
feifei
@GB, snaky Lee using the media to stir up public sentiments is familiar, he did that in Hak Kyeong’s case too.
feifei
They use a man’s voice for the stalker, but who knows the stalker is a woman.
WEnchanteur
Lee did fake clues. And there is high chance that Choi is involved into that.
Now the mysterious stalker wants to meet Lee.
SUSPENS !!
ibisfeather
A surprise it’s a woman but prepared by the shoes — not insp choi’s dusty ones, nor his ankles!
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
The scene with the real killer is somehow chilling.
Snaky Lee finally finds himself in an untenable position.
WEnchanteur
Noooo. Choi “it was a coincidence, I was just passing by”. nono no no, no one can believe that, even less when said with a “guilty attitude trying to hide something”.
BUT, he speaks about a “telepathic message”, and in fact, he could be a dreamer now. I vaguely remember a moment when they save his life?
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@IB… what a scary killer… she had no reason except that she was sicker than the other people and hated it. She actually was well enough to get up and poison them!!! Totally no remorse. A psychopath/sociopath? Even Snaky Lee is horrified.
ibisfeather
I really almost suspected the son of being the final villain, the scene of hj’s fear was so convincing — the soundtrack, I think…
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@WE, yes Mr Choi is the ahjusshi whom they saved.
WEnchanteur
The cop guy (dreamer, don’t remember his name). I found him not impressive in this drama. But now I’m watching Snowdrop and he pops the screen in this!
So, the stalker is a woman.
Hum, but who exactly?
WEnchanteur
Damn-it. The psycho-killer was this woman.
She killed x20. And for some reason, she’s angry that Lee accused someone else.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@WE, the killer was another patient who hated that the other patients got to go home. I wonder how she managed to poison their IVs. If they were able to go home, she would have no access to them. She must have killed them when they were still in hospital.
WEnchanteur
Ah no. It’s more creepy.
Well done, writer.
She’s a kind of weird fan of Lee. 😀
“Give me more hope, Lee”. 🙂
feifei
The killer is creepy, the snake feels disgusted by her but still work with her in the end.
WEnchanteur
I think Lee is considering to kill her….
WEnchanteur
Ok, the scene transition makes it obvious.
CHOI knows too !
ibisfeather
Wow, I didn’t remember the final event running over one ep.
the other action scenes were split between eps too
feifei
Why is the snake targeting HJ?
ibisfeather
@ff snaky ybeom is trapped by the killer and deflects her anger towards hj to protect himself.
He implies that only hj knows Abt the planted evidence.
feifei
@GB, so HJ is just unlucky because the snake chose her as a scapegoat! How horrible!
ibisfeather
The actress (park min joo) who plays hwang mi is so great.
She is getting married per news!
WEnchanteur
If I was Suzy, I wouldn’t drink what Lee give me to drink…..
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@FF, it was Snaky Lee who chose to deflect to HJ so the killer helped Snaky Lee do the killing.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@IB, oh is Park Min Joo getting married? She’s got a great singing voice as well.
WEnchanteur
Ok, the scene transition with Choi was a red-herring, and it happens that Suzy is the 3nd person to know the case. Ahahaha. Yeah it can work that way.
ibisfeather
Don’t drink the Koolaid!
Bye WE, GB, FF, have a good week!
Until Saturday next.
WEnchanteur
Back to the dream scene becoming real.
She’s asleep on the grass of the rooftop.
I’m in a hurry today and have to leave now.
Have a good week everybody !!
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
@WE HJ did not see the green umbrella and so did not become more wary of Snaky Lee. She has the habit of acting without thinking.
Fortunately JC has a dream about her.
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
Bye @WE!
GrowingBeautifully (GB)
Bye everyone, see you next week. 2 more weeks and we’ll be Rewatching or Watching Mobius!!!
ibisfeather
I havent watched Mobius yet, because I am saving myself for the watch/rewatch. It will take us nicely through the dark days of winter.
