I’m running away temporarily from my family, relatives, and dogs (can you believe the havoc four canine houseguests can do?!) to greet my internet family and friends Merry Christmas!!!
Wishing you joy, good health, and festive cheer this holiday! And, of course, good internet connection and better kdramas for the coming year.
Great to hear from you @pkml3!! Thank you most heartily for your greetings.
I’ve just watched the last episode of Dynamite Kiss and it was dynamite!!!
Have a merry and healthy Christmas!
Merry Christmas, @GB! How have you been doing? Keeping busy?
I just learned that I’ve forgotten to post a “What Are We Watching” for December!! 😱 Ohmygoodness! I apologize. I was really out of this month.
It’s been hard work cleaning up the mess the previous administration did, and on some days, there seems to be no end in sight. Oh well. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going…. 💪
@pkml3, I’ve been both busy and yet insistent on relaxing a lot, hence I could watch a couple of dramas while waiting for the currently airing ones. I even watched a movie or two.
Oh dear, what a way to end and start the year … however mess-clearing is needed no matter where, at work or home, in relationships, spiritually and physically. Usually cathartic??
Have a happy and good New Year!
Merry Christmas and happy new year to you, @PM and all BODers.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all BODers.
Merry Christmas 🎄 BOD and @PM3
I’m here Celebrating with my PNW family 💚
Happy Birthday 🎁 Jesus
Καλά Χριστούγεννα! Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate it!
@Packmule3 et al!
My best wishes! I do hope you are all okay and had a wonderful day with your folks!
Merry Christmas Queen and to your family! 🎄🎄🎄
I thought maybe you might have welcomed a new family member that’s why you’re so busy. 😄 Hopefully you’ll have time now to enjoy the holidays and the New Year after what sounds like a very crazy work load. ☺️
Merry belated Christmas (Happy Holidays) to the BOD Family!
Late for the Party, but here nonetheless!!!
Dear @PM3, I couldn’t resist:
Billy Ocean – When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going (Official Video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-n3sUWR4FV4
Here in Latin America the two movies of the “Romancing the Stone” series were called “En Busca de la Esperalda Perdida” [In search of the Lost Emerald]. It seems this was the soundtrack of “The Jewel of the Nile” which was the continuation of “Romancing…”
@GB, glad to know that even if Life gets hectic, you do your best to find time for yourself!
@FF, @AngelWings and @HKLady, happy to read you! (BTW dear @HKLady, I am really bad at acronyms… what is PNW if I may ask?)
@Cleo, Likewise! Spend the day and evening with my black cat! Fighting for a piece of chicken was our version of Family Feud XD XD XD XD XD XD.
@Agdr03, Happy Holidays to you too!
Many Thanks for another year of Friendship. This year has been “interesting” here to say the least, and J-Dramas has been a lifesaver for me.
Hope to come along in another viewing. These days I find refuge in Iyashikei or Slice of Life J-Dramas.
Hellooo there @FGB!! It’s always good to hear from you. Calling this year interesting is a polite understatement!
Thanks for that video of Billy Ocean and the 3 main cast members of those movies. I’ve forgotten most of the plot I recall I had a rollicking good time watching them. It was fun re-watching the cast doing their background singers’ song and dance. It looked like they had a blast! 😆😁
I hope you had a nice Christmas @FGB4877 ❤️
If we don’t get to have a thread for the New Year, I want to say thank you because it was you who inspired me to do my drama watching list for the year. ☺️
I’ll put my list here before 2025 ends. ☺️
Dear @GB, it is always a pleasure to read you! I don’t know how things are going in Singapore, but here in Caracas we are expecting change. It is a dangerous game and we should temper our expectations, but here I am stockpiling on canned food and buying an old kerosene pressure stove to be able to cook in the worst case scenario.
Also, on December 28 I disconnect as The Day of the Holy Innocents is our equivalent of April’s Fool XD.
@Agdr03, sounds like fun! To be honest, I am favoring slice of life and Iyashikei themed shows and Anime. We are biting our nails here! XD.
That seemingly inocuous series, “Suika (2003)” has left the biggest impression on me these days. The level of writing and detail is just astonishing!
“Pain of Estrangement” has formally 123 pages as a Computer Archive. There is still lots and lots of material to garden (I don’t know if it is the proper simile).
A little bit ago, from the most unexpected source (a Video on the failed second installment of the “Ghost in the Shell” movie!) I got the realization that for stories to be able to connect with people, it is good to include youthful and action parts (or what Haruki Murakami did in “Tokyo Blues”: a panfully relatable story of lost love). That way the book can be able to accompany people while they grow-up and advance in life. Some parts they didn’t get while young can become beacons in due time.
For Life is a Journey, and we should stride confidently with good Maps and excellent Friends!
If there is no Happy New Year 2026 Post, We will still have this one to greet each other properly.
Dear @FGB, our hearts go out to you. The tension and the stress must be palpable and hard to bear. We can but pray for you and your land. May you be able to find respite in good shows and be able to come here often to update us. Stay well!
