I might as well have watched the mating habits of crickets.

Nothing much happens in this episode.

WooHyun finalizes his lawsuit and issues another plea/ultimate/whatever to his Dad to stop interfering. Dad seems strangely subdued and conciliatory. Hmmm… is he calling off his dogs, err Wannabe Wife?

YooJung and BFF decide to avoid each other for now (or maybe it’s just BFF’s decision. Don’t know; don’t care.)

Unnie confronts Wannabe Wife at golf range. Probably tells her to take her business contracts and stick them where the sun doesn’t shine.

Donsaeng bids a teary adieu to the world. He’s going to — where else? — Noo Yoork.

Whoops. Wrong city!

WH returns home and sees heels at the door. Gasp!! Did his heart stop for a second at the sight of those shoes? Did he think those belong to YooJung???!!!

Nope! Those are just his mom’s shoes.

YJ’s Dad attends Donsaeng’s farewell party and shocks YJ. She neither welcomes him nor rejects him so THAT at least is an improvement from her earlier stance.

WH’s Dad is plotting something again with his Secretary.

Wannabe Wife challenges WH’s lawyer. Lawyer looks stumped about something. Let me guess. She’s threatening to spill the beans that when he was a student at Georgetown Prep in the 19th century he assaulted someone at a soiree. 

Upon the request of Donsaeng, YJ visits her dad at his restaurant. She surprises WH there so she turns around and leaves.

Her brother refuses to tell her how and why WH and her dad are familiar with each other. Unnie is unaware of close relationship between WH and her dad. She’s baffled. And she’s probably aghast now that WH knows her father.

She gets ready for some fashion photoshoot. She models a bridal gown. Tactless assistant comments on her looking like a real bride, and she’s momentarily disconcerted.

Meanwhile, Wannabe is also being fitted for her wedding dress in the same shop. (Too bad there’s no buy-one-get-one on funeral dresses, too, for this lady.)

I wouldn’t be surprised if WH’s dad had a hand in their accidental meeting.

YJ and Wannabe meet each other along the hallway and Wannabe clamps on her arm to talk to her.

Of course, they tussle over YJ’s arm. The arm, of course, is only the physical metaphor for WooHyun.

“Give me back my arm!” “No, I want it!” “You’re hurting me. Give me back my arm, I said!” “Tough! You can’t have it as long as I want it!” 

And then, as they are mud-wrestling…I mean…ARM-wrestling (hahaha!) Mr. Cha WooHyun comes charging in.

The end.

I can already tell you that there was only ONE heart-fluttering moment.

This:

While WH is conferring with his lawyer over the phone, a montage of YJ’s photoshoot/movies/ads/whatever plays on his flatscreen tv, giving us the impression that the YJ’s image is his equivalent of “white noise.” Watching her montage gives him inner tranquility and a sense of purpose.

And there’s one BEST EVER parting gift from Donsaeng to WH. He called up WooHyun to leak to him that his Noona missed him. That was how WooHyun knew where to go to find YJ — at the bridal shop.

Other than these two moments (okay, I’ll throw in the Dad subplot so we can hope to get a closure on this issue soon), there isn’t anything new to recap madcap in this episode.

Edited to add this: there was a weird scene aboard a Korean airlines. Wannabe Wife made a stink when flight attendant accidentally poured wine on her.

I recognized that unusual hair accessory and scarf. lol. 

WH’s stepbrother (I think it was him?) witnessed it. I’m lousy with facial recognition.

Frankly, I don’t know the point of this scene. Perhaps it was to connect Wannabe Wife to the “nut rage incident” of the Korean Airlines chaebol daughter. lol.
