Thanks @pkml3! I see that you’ve updated Paris’ time to 4pm which is correct. @WE was wondering why he was the only one here at 3pm last week!!!

Three more exciting Episodes to go and then we’re going to Rewatch Signal. Wish you could join us!!!

  2. Commenting as part of figuring out why I do not Get Email notification.
Once commenting starts on a post.

  3. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @MM, I saw your post above in my email, if that’s any consolation!

It’s happened to me before that I did not get email notifications. I just came back into each thread from which email failed to arrive and re-check marked the ‘Notify me of follow-up comments by email’ option below. It seemed to work.

  4. I am not getting the email that tells me To confirm. at wordpress. Not sure if this is part of the issue

  5. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@MM, I think in the end what I did was I unsubscribed and then re-subscribed to BOD. There was some update to WordPress and I needed the new version, without realising it.

What happens now is that I no longer need to get the email to confirm that I want notifications. All notifications come to me automatically. So I’ve one less step to worry about.

  6. Thank you I will check this out. My understanding of a WordPress account. Is That
It is connected to the google account somehow. Never really set one up. It was all just automatically working for me before.

  7. I am really looking forward to today’s episode and the rest of the episodes.

    See you all soon.

  8. Hi!!

  9. Hello, seems like I am hit with the same issues …. page not refreshing. I presume the usual gang is around to start the re-watch. Let’s go!

  10. Hi @WE.

  11. Hi FF.
    It’s starting! 😉
    Church in the past…

  12. The friend didn’t ask for anything but
    BULGING eyes… ssjjjslluuuurppp
And Hobo is at the church now. 😀

  13. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Hi @WE, @MM, Let’s go, go, go!!!

  14. The clock strikes 12 o’clock like Cinderella, and everything changes. Yong Hoon attending Sun Woo and Min Young’s wedding.

  15. Hi GB, it’s already going. 🙂

  16. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Hi @FF, yes, start!!!

This episode, to me, is kind of a linking episode… It links all the last of what needs to be linked from past to present to make it coherent again. The only problem is that although SW succeeds in doing this, he’s missing.

  17. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, yes, I noticed the number of times we are shown a clock or the watch at 12:00 noon. Cinderella time but 12 hours difference!

  18. Hi all, Good beginning bouncing back and forth between two potential weddings 1993 and 2013 and all the implications therein.

  19. Choi discover he didn’t do anything in this new life. Too bad for him he still have memories of the life where I got huge success. 🙂

  20. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

So much pathetic fallacy in the endless rain. And things start changing. Young Hoon is at the wedding but the bride is still at the funeral hall LOL.

  21. Min Young, Young Hoon and Villain Choi all had the bulging eye expression, in total disbelieve at the turn of events.

    Hi @GB.

  22. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @LL, Yes I liked that we had 2 weddings to compare plus a funeral wake in the middle LOL. What great contrasts.

MY is confused by her own name… now it’s Joo Min Young and not Park MY. And her step dad.

  23. Hi LL.
Choi is mad now. Mad with angerrrrr!!
Note, when he insults in the void, there is the other guy thinking he’s speaking about him. Just one detail, but help to make the scene better. 😉

  24. Huge dementia crisis in the street.
The actor entertain us a lot. 😀

  25. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, I loved Choi’s change in circumstances. His OOOhhOhOh mouth was played to constant effect for many scenes.

He became the decrepit old man he was in his soul. Among villains I feel SSJ made him the Worst of the Worst.

  26. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, It’s a bit hard to keep eyes bulging, so I applaud the actors. I wonder why his hair is like that LOL.

  27. Too bad, the two marriages are doomed to fail.

  28. @GB, crazy guy, crazy hair. ^^

  29. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE Heheheheh! Choi can’t believe that his ‘car’ is that miserable looking mini-van. Demmentia indeed!

  30. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    @WE,
So many good parallels. He wants to strike SW’s car and ends up hitting and kicking his own mini-van.

And now the good news is that Jung Woo is alive and still a doctor, and doing good work on Mission somewhere in China.

  31. Choi has become the “mad” scientist!

MY Looks at her wedding photos With disbelief.

  32. @GB, huge crisis like that, I wonder how it is in the script. Sadly, I don’t have any korean screenplay with that.
I did it by myself the way I think is good and I have scenes like that.
    – In W w2, episode 25 (and some others episodes ofc)
    – In Bookstore where you rent my heart, episodes 3 and 4.

  33. @GB, I associate that kind of hair style with a mad scientist haha. Park Hyung Shik is good looking here.

  34. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

I like that in this episode, the MEMORIES come with the change in history. In the past, SW did not know how or what led to the changes. In this Episode each person gets the whole gamut of memories that goes with their past. So everything falls into place.

Poor Yoo Jin is abandoned (first by divorced husband and now by bridegroom).

  35. – Future husband can’t be here.
    – Why?
    – Stuck 20 years in the past.
    Oo!

  36. @WE, both marriages are doom to fail? Sad. But where is Sun Woo? It is 20 minutes into the drama but our main character has not appeared yet.

  37. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, great that you manage to include parallels. As long as they make sense, that’s fine!

Now a point of confusion… I see that Choi gets arrested, but when does this take place? Because on that rainy day, Choi is also in a car and looking for Sun Woo.

  38. The main actress is +50% more pretty in her marriage attire. Her hair and make up also better.

  39. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Loved how Killer received his orders to kill young SW from future Choi and that past Choi has no clue about it LOL.

  40. I like that too how the memories happen. The scenes in the bedroom withMy and sw Are in 2013. So we are back before He finds the incense sticks?

  41. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@MM, you’re too far ahead of me!!! I’m still at the point JW is in prison and meets young SW who got accepted into University or something.

  42. What is that couple? The guy don’t ask for marriage and the girl have to insist like crazy. ^^
    What a jerk!!

  43. He’s punished by the coming of mother in law. 🙂

  44. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

I like the visit of SW to JW … the reflection of one brother shown in the glass window together with the face of the other.

    It’s 24th April 2013 and SW’s wedding day.

  45. The scene where her parents find sun wu in her bed is hilarious and what welcome comic relief! So undignified for sun woo

  46. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, Seems like SW is being entrapped into marriage LOL. He does not believe MY that she never planned for her parents to come and find him in her bed!!! The only way to not appear like a weirdo or jerk who’s taking advantage of her is to marry her quickly!!!

  47. Min Young practically forced the marriage to happen using her mum as a excuse.

  48. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@MM, I liked how SW had to jump around in his underwear! LOLOL.

  49. Has this whole show been about her dragging him to the altar?!🤣

  50. Hi MM.
@GB, yes, it was a trap, because she smiles when the flashback ends. But did she had another choice?
    ahahah.

  51. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, MY is like the boy who cried wolf… SW won’t know when to believe her since she even lies about her birthday.

LOL she looks so happy but denies it!

  52. @WE, yes Min Young looks pretty in the wedding photos. Oh, Jeong Woo remembers Min Young as his daughter. So heartwarming of him to call and congratulate her on her wedding day.

  53. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@MM, This episode feels like a lot of fill in the blank scenes so we understand what’s going to happen next and the pathos. This is the episode with the least of SW scenes. Instead we get to see everyone else and know how things turn out or should turn out.

Her past life dad calls… so touching. He still refers to himself as her ‘Appa’. she tears up that he’s alive and still her daddy.

  54. @GB, I think MY staged the encounter of her mum and SW and use the opportunity to force the marriage to happen.

  55. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, I think MY was being opportunistic. She didn’t plan for her parents to return at that time, but what a great reason to push him into marriage. He’d been procrastinating for years.

  56. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, I felt that MY was really surprised to find her parents in her home, so she was being an opportunist rather than a deliberate schemer.

  57. @GB, I think ep 18 and 19 could be merged into one.
But I guess the contract is 20 episodes, and there is enough stuff on the plan to stand a longer time for these two episodes.

  58. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

I really like Yoo Jin’s earrings as she speaks with SW about his brother.

  59. Some second to wait in the phone boot before end of time.
Anything before was flashback and we come back to the beggining of episode.
Now happens the big mind-fuck: No return to present.
    OooOOOooOOOOooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

  60. @WE agree that SW seems too reluctant to commit to marriage after we have seen him head over heels in previous episodes.

Choi’s over the top reactions do add a lot… he is almost literally “consumed with anger” which is entertaining to view. However, he is dually consumed with anger and vengeance when he drives into SW in phone booth in 1993 while excitedly watching himself do this in 2013! Very cool!😎
So what went wrong this time with incense stick?

  61. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Yes @WE… I felt this Episode was a bit slow because we get little of SW of the current timeline. But there’s enough to fill the episode. Now we get Young Hoon again… worried again. I pity him. He has to act worried over and over and over again just because of SW.

SW has only the scenes in the phone box… Now here’s Choi about to smash the car in 2013 and to lose everything. (A flashback) And there’s SW who’s stuck with the last incense stick burnt down and disappearing.

  62. I have a feeling now.And I also did at the end of the series That it could all just start all over again.

  63. SW is stuck in the past! Why? This drama is really dramatic. Now SW is leaving messages for people in the future to retrieve just like what the young SW did, scribble on the guitar, leave markings on the railings to communicate with SW living in the future.

  64. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE… The box of rings appears in SW’s car?

It’s 12:02 in 1993. It rains and thunders non-stop. the incense sticks vanish. No more links to the past now… and the one main link, SW is not to be allowed to return. But leaving him in the past, the incense sticks are allowing him to change the future still.

However, the pay back for playing with history and changing events is being extracted from SW now.

  65. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@LL, SW who was eager to marry MY in the past was a selfish jerk. He only wanted the girl because he was going to die soon. SW in the present is also a selfish jerk who wants to tease her endlessly without committing.

  66. @GB, everything is paradoxal.
Future choi will get revenge because his past Choi, somehow, has the opportunity to kill SW.
But he can’t know it, and have to wait it happens, then enjoy his revenge by time butterfly memory effect.

  67. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, good catch! Yes, another parallel. Leaving messages on the phone like he had done all over his home 20 years earlier.

  68. Villain Choi is so happy when he remembers that he drove into the phone booth with SW in it.

  69. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, yes this is so intriguing… Choi gets to enjoy the murder of SW for the first time but twice so to speak. In 1993 and in 2013.

He is the WORST villain because he never relented, never was sorry or atoned for his wrongs. Also he did SO MUCH that was evil from raping SW’s mother, harvesting human eggs, getting henchman to kill and hide crimes and then personally committing murder as well. He was never sorry or contrite for his crimes. Jung Woo called him out on this in the later episode.

  70. Music is beautiful for the last moments.

  71. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE The design for the music is good. I liked how the OSTs supported the action and tell us what’s happening. Poignant music, celestial music, etc.

  72. @GB, he’s a villain. hé hé.
First we was thinking “ok, at least he didn’t killed SW’s father”. But in the end, he did worst on the long ruN.

  73. @GB, and Choi is so happy that he killed SW in the phone booth! He is HAPPY that he killed him, this man knows no remorse.

  74. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, yes the irony is that Choi never realised he was the very BAD guy. He liked to point fingers instead.

    Two more episodes to go!!!

  75. Yep, I have to go now. Good week everybody! 😉

  76. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, yes, Choi never felt remorse for anything. Until the end he insisted he did nothing wrong. I almost wish that he had a more painful ending LOL.

  77. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Bye @WE!

  78. I am still confused about how son wu is communicating with his friend by dictating messages when he was in the past. I can see here that he is leaving evidence for what happened to him

  79. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@MM, I think that SW’s phone does get to Young Hoon after 20 years. I seem to recall that he heard the voice recordings.

  80. Time to go, see you all next week. Thanks @GB for your insightful comments.

  81. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF You’re welcome! See you next week!

  82. @GB yes he does get the messages in the present.

He had been recording messages on previous time travel trips perhaps with the same thought in mind that there would be evidence. I cant remember the details now though.

This must be a braND NEW TIMELINE WHERE HE DOES NOT HAVE CANCER nor is he aware of the time travel. She is only aware at the wedding when time shifted hence the need to present the past as memories.

  83. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@MM Yes, it’s a brand new timeline where SW is not the SW who had the brain tumour, but the one who grew up from the young SW.

  84. It seems to me that there is an added dimension to the time travel rules in this episode.

  85. y@GB This is the first time I am understanding that this is a new time.

It is interesting to note that SWs reluctance and motivations to be with her Change from one timelime to another and are influenced by the events of the particular timelime. He is in.

  86. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@MM, what are you referring to when you say added dimension to the timeline?

What I see is that now the memories all come in and everyone comes into the same timeline. The other things is that the timelines merge into one. As SW dies, there is no longer 2 SWs. Also there are no longer 2 Chois, just the 1 decrepit old man who became a killer.

I wonder how it would have been if SW had not died in 1993. Would he have lived on or died anyway? There cannot be an 18-year-old SW together with a 38-year-old SW co-existing in the same timeline. I feel that the incense sticks logic should have made 38-year-old SW vanish, because he did not belong to that time.

  87. I meant that the twenty year rule seemed to stop applying. I had not thought of this as a merged timeline but that makes sense.SW as we knew him died for the others’ lives to get back on track but we have yet to see that fully realized, I believe.
