I think this mystery kid confused some viewers.
He was watching while the young Hyungsik was smacked down by his dad because of the cats.
To me, that’s the young Youngsik. The mystery child was wearing a taekwondo uniform and didn’t YS take taekwondo classes??
Youngsik’s voiceover, “People easily tend to forget people’s faces,” meant that he, too, had forgotten how his friend’s dad looked like. He didn’t remember the dad’s existence when he was looking at the sketch of the murderer’s eyes.
As for actor playing the adult Pilgu, I was racking my brains last night because I couldn’t remember where I’d seen his face… till this morning.
Why, he’s the timid guy, Hye-Yeon, in “Love Alarm.”
I watched Love Alarm. I didn’t like it that much but I was rooting for adult Pilgu’s character, not to be with Jojo but to succeed in life. He’s a good kid and has always looked out for his friend, studied hard, got into uni, etc. If Love Alarm has a second season, I hope they introduce a lovely girl for him. His exact opposite – loud with a strong personality, outgoing. That would be fun to watch.
