Next Drama for the Rewatch Party?

Update: 6/28/2022 from @Growing_Beautifully.

Here’s a Truncated List of Shows to Choose From for our next Rewatch Party. Please note, I’ve resurrected some of the ones that we recommended way back when. I also decided to include those that I don’t particularly want to watch to see if they get more than one vote, and so as to have a less prejudiced list.

Those who recommended 1 or 2 shows, may get both listed. Those who recommended more than 2 only get 2 listed.

To vote: [put your names in the square brackets/parentheses next to the show you want to rewatch. You may cast more than one vote. You need not vote for the show you recommended LOLOL.] You may come back to change your vote… it’s fine to change your mind. Just leave a message on what you’re changing your vote to.

Voting starts now and ends on Saturday 9th July (the last day of our ‘W’ Rewatch Party). The drama with the most votes will be posted after 9th July. If there is a tie, I’ll literally draw lots.

In alphabetical order:
1) ‘Black’ – (rec. by @Cleo) [ ] 2) ‘Caution: Hazardous Housewife’ on Viki. Jdorama. 10 episodes – (rec. in 2021 by @Welmaris) [ ] 3) ‘Chocolate’ (rec. by @Cleo) [ ] 4) ‘Days of Being Wild’ Hong Kong movie – (rec. in 2021 by @Janey) [ ] 5) ‘Doom at Your Service’- (rec. by @salteddust) [ .] 6) ‘Liar Game’ Japanese Original – (rec. by @WE) [ ] 7) ‘My Ahjusshi (My Mister)’ – (rec in 2021, by @Welmaris, I believe) [ ] 8) ‘Nine: 9 Times Travel’ – (rec. by @GB) [ ] 9) ‘Omameda Towako to Sannin no Motootto’ Jdorama – (rec. in 2021 by @FGB) [ ] 10) ‘Queen In Hyun’s man’ – (rec. by @GB) [ ] 11) ‘Sandglass’ (24 episodes, 45 minutes each).- (rec. by @WE) [ ] 12) ‘When the Weather is Fine’ – (rec. by @salteddust) [ ]

May the most popular show win!

@WEnchanteur has his list of dramas.

Liar Game season 1 and 2 (20 episodes of 35 minutes) + The final stage.
Japanese drama. It’s the only drama I rated 10, like W. Rewatch value is high because all is funny, fast paced, and also because even when the explanations are well made, we need one more time to catch all. I rewatched as soon as I ended watching. A drama you can’t say goodbye to it. Can be 2 episodes/week, except one longer episode and the final movie.

Empress Ki (51 episodes).
Problem here is 51 hours. Of course, when we end the drama, we want to rewatch it, because it’s an heartbreak to say goodbye to the drama, and we want to stay longer in that. Very fast paced. I didn’t rewatched just after, because 51 episodes is a big deal.

Jang Ok Jung (24 episodes).
Acting feast. So many spicy situations we want to rewatch, as it’s fast paced. Also we want to feel again the progression of the emotion/character developement, and love story. So, very good rewatch value.

Sandglass (24 episodes * 45 minutes).
The drama cause something deep on the mood. As I rewatched some parts since then… The rewatch value is excellent, we miss a lot when watching first, about the quality. Only problem I see: it’s the kind of drama you want to rewatch, but later, not just after watching. It needs a rest. Well, it depends of your condition, but I don’t see someone ending this be in a good condition. It’s rather slow paced.

The Penthouse: War in Life (21 episodes).
The queen of makjang in a new way, with self-parody. Very fast paced. There are so many good acting and situations giving endless fun, it’s so well written with good sens of irony and dense. Perfect symbiosis beetwen writer and director. So of course it’s highly rewatchable. First thing I did after watching was to rewatch. Only dilemma: there is a season 2 and 3. So maybe you’ll want to watch this after.

I hear your voice. (18 episodes).
I rewatched it already too much. I rated it 9,5 like others. But consider it’s not in my list, unless you insist.

Memories of the Alhambra (16 episodes).
Not in my list too. But if you want, I will be happy to rewatch of course.

Then are the list I rated 9. A lot. I don’t put them in my list because I’m not sure of the rewatch value “just after watching a first time”.
Death Note (japan, but I prefer the anime), From Now On Showtime!, Giant, Hwang Jin Yi, IRIS, King2Hearts, Love in Sadness, Miss Ripley, Nine Times Time Travel, Page Turner, Pinocchio, Psychopath Diary, Queen In Hyun’s Man, Queen of Ambition, Six Flying Dragons, The Last Empress, While You Were Sleeping, 365: Repeat the Year, The Incarnation of Money, Kairos, Love Story in Harvard, Road Number One, Remember: War of the Son.

In this, I would be happy to rewatch:
Love in Sadness. But it’s not a drama you maybe want to rewatch fast after. It’s a bit slow paced. But the vilain is so good.
365: Repeat the Year. Need time before you want to rewatch.
While You Were Sleeping. Lot of good feeling, so rewatchable.
Pinocchio. Ditto, and same writer.
King2Hearts. Want to rewatch, but not just after. Very good vilain and confrontations.
Love Story in Harvard. Deep love feeling, so should be rewatchable even if it’s old school. It’s a problem, I always want to rewatch anything with Kim Tae Hee. ^^
IRIS. So, that’s too! ^^
Remember: War of the Son. The so good vilain make you want to rewatch that. But not the drama as a whole.
The Incarnation of Money. There is enough silly comedy and black comedy for a rewatch. But maybe not soon after watching.

Do you have other dramas to recommend for the group?

@Growing_Beautifully says the deadline for recommending titles is Sunday, June 26.

After 26 June, we vote by putting our names next to the show that we don’t mind re-watching.

If we get a tie (or many ties) I’ll literally draw lots for 1 Show. LOL.

Just a tip: when recommending a drama, please make sure that it’s accessible on a legit site to many of you. 🙂

  1. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Many thanks @pkml3!!

The truncated list of shows to vote for will be posted after the 26th June 2022. Why truncated? Because it’s too hard to vote if there are too many to choose from, and because some of us have already indicated that one or two of the shows, we will definitely not want to rewatch.

Stay tuned for the Vote, but in the meantime, feel free to add more Shows for consideration.

I’m keeping an archive of Shows that we’ve indicated interest in and will bring them out at the end of our Rewatch Parties to see if they still hold the same attraction. 🙂 So no harm adding in your preferences.

  2. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Thanks so much @pkml3 for hosting us every weekend (well almost)! You’ve given us a safe and happy place to hangout, and I’m very grateful!!!

Bringing together some of our previous recommendations…I’m resurrecting some old posts on Recommendations for Rewatch Parties. These are in addition to the list that @WE has painstakingly give us as well.

I’ll shorten the list and anyone who wants to do the rewatch can say what they definitely won’t watch as well, so the list gets shorter.

We’ll only vote from next Monday 27th June 2022 … the voting period will be 2 weeks, to close on 10th July 2022.

My Love (2021) (rec by GB
This is a Chinese Movie, and another adaptation of ‘On Your Wedding Day’. It is a bitter-sweet romance and relatable.

I watched it because I read a rave review of this by @kfangurl (https://thefangirlverdict.com/2021/08/08/flash-review-my-love-china-movie/). I tried it, and didn’t regret it at all. The other great reason to watch is for Greg Hsu (Someday or One Day). 🙂

  3. Wow! What a list! I can’t think of any shows that I’m interested in a rewatch though. I’ll just continue with Legally Romance and see if Alchemy of Souls is interesting enough.

Which ever show it is, enjoy it everyone! 🙂

  4. @GB, should I remove Empress Ki from the list?
51 episodes, it means 2 episodes/week, a two hours rewatch.

  5. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

LOL My dear @WE, I had no intention of letting Empress Ki be in the short list for Voting!!! You do not need to do anything… I’ll come up with a short list later.

The rest on your list will be brought out bit by bit in time but … er… where my preferences lie, I’ll not bring out Empress Ki nor Jang Ok Jung for Saturday Rewatches. I can’t imagine surviving 2 episodes a week 🤪 🥱 😴 😵 back to back, (ending past 12 midnight for me) and still with comments to make.

HOWEVER … there is still the ‘Watch When You Wish’ Rewatch that goes on, on Wednesdays. Those of us who cannot manage Saturdays can watch anytime we want and comment on or around Wednesdays. 😊

  6. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Sorry, @pkml3,… my post that is Awaiting Moderation was for this thread, not the Alchemy thread!!!

  7. Well, my list is already short, it’s 4 dramas:
Liar game, Jang Ok Jung, Penthouse, Sandglass.

  8. I have just one re-watch suggestion:
    Vincenzo – on Netflix

I love “Empress Ki” but as has been already said, it’s a time monster.

Otherwise, I am rather intrigued by “Liar Game” (thank you @WEnchanteur). I’d like to watch it for the first time and call it a rewatch, but I don’t seem to be able to get to it. I would appreciate any directions. I do have formal access to Netflix, iIQIY and Rakuten.

  9. It’s been approved, @GB. Sorry about that.

There’s a limit on how many links are allowed on one comment to weed out spams. IIRC, it’s three, maybe four links.

  10. @Juriel, I did a quick search but don’t find any official streaming with LG.
I found it on dramacool. +It’s possible to choose 720p quality in the params.
I don’t know if it’s possible to give this kind of link here.
Else, here my MDL, where you can use my PM:

  11. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Thanks @pkml3… you’re up early!!!

  12. I have two. I have not watched enough dramas to come up with a long list that are worth watching. I have my favorites that I have obsessively watched and rewatched and rewatched, but my reasons for doing so are idiosyncratic. My two would be ‘Doom at Your Service’ and ‘When the Weather is Fine’. The latter is slow and I will rewatch it anyway so I don’t mind if others don’t chose to. I wanted to read the poetry again, and think, again, about the choices made by several of the main characters. ‘Doom at Your Service’ I am already rewatching on semi-permanent loop. I think because of how the main character handles the news of her terminal illness and how her thoughts and the interplay of ‘Doom’ and her might provide insight to our trans-pandemic life, as well as all the variations of human love and affection that permeate the drama, and the mysteriousness of the underlying theology. Also Seo In-guk reminds me of Daniel Day Lewis; he looks so different in every drama I have seen him in, even though he is recognizably the same guy.

  13. @GB, I’ve have a minor reason about choices. For example, your list have 3 SJJ dramas. But in this, I wouldn’t choose MOTA, because there are many articles on BOD about this drama. Of course, I would enjoy the rewatch, but I think it’s better to get some classics instead. Dramas not in BOD list. Our comments wouldn’t add any value about MOTA, as so many articles and comments already study that drama a lot. So Queen In Hyun’s man is a better choice (very easy rewatch, it’s 45 minutes episodes), or Nine Time Travel.

  14. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @WE, yes, noted your comment on MOTA. Although posts here on a show neither encourages nor discourages us from choosing to rewatch it in company. 😆 A case in point is Start-up which we rewatched immediately after it aired and even after many posts by @pkml3 and BODers. In fact it was Start-up that started us off on our regular group rewatches. 😂

  15. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@salteddust, thanks for suggesting your faves.

  16. Oh! I was here on Start-up rewatch!! But I missed the “watch”, 🙂
It’s rewatch for pleasure and easyness, not for hard study!! 🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐
    Guilty pleasure! 😛😛😛
I’m joking, there is enough good acting in Start-up. I enjoyed much more Ji Pyung character on the rewatch. All the details about what he does wrong. Lot of fun.

  17. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, that’s the joy of watching in a group at the same time… we get to slime/criticise/praise characters at the same time. And sometimes we inspire each other to come up with fresh insights. Very gratifying when that happens. So the rewatch is not just for hard study. I feel that ‘W – Two Worlds’ lent itself to hard study because it takes so much to understand the logic, the twists, the changes that are/are not logical. On the whole, other shows except maybe the SJJ ones, can be watched just for fun.

I’m tending to want to watch Liar Game because it also has some ‘study’ involved… the logic and the maths and how to get around the rules of the game if at all. For me the Jdrama adaptation will be a first watch.

  18. @GB,
The original Japanese version of Liar Game is a good rewatch for more reasons than the complexity of the games. And by the way, I don’t think they are that complicated, because unlike W, everything is explained at any time, with animations, montages, etc. On some of them, I wasn’t sure and I revisited the explanation. For the end of season 1, there is one that is more difficult, but mainly because of the topology of the locations. Compared to the Korean remake, the original has all the depth of situations and twists.

The other reasons why it’s fun to rewatch:
    – The leads: An incredibly smart ML and engaging FL (perfect complementarity).
    – The other characters: Many are fun and quirky. Eccentric as in an anime.
    – The direction: it’s an old, yet timeless drama. With few financial means, it is brilliantly done. Both the shots and the crazy editing. You never feel it’s old.
    – The ambiance: while the manga is in black and white and a bit sinister, the drama chooses an ultra-colorful style. Although it’s a drama, we have the feeling to see a Japanese manga-cartoon by the way the situations and the attitudes of the characters are exaggerated.
    – The screenplay: frantic pace, high density of content, fast scene cuts, visual inserts, elipses, foreshadowing, flashback at the right time, preparation and unfolding of the plot-twists.
    – The background music, the sound effects: a very original style that supports the story in a sustained way. The kind I haven’t heard on other dramas.
    – The emotion: like W, the frenetic pace and the psycho-cerebral aspect takes precedence over the emotion at the first watching, and it’s at the second watching that we feel this aspect.
    – Masterpiece: all this makes it a unique artwork, a curiosity never seen before or after. At this point, the Korean remake seems so personalityless, but especially very inefficient regarding logic and twists. It was my favorite drama before W. When I have a favorite, it’s not only because of an excellent story (otherwise Empress Ki would be my favorite), it’s also because of a unique concept, innovative screenplay and an unsurpassable originality. No matters it’s a blockbuster with a lot of money, or a smaller production.

On MDL, I’m sending you a link to stream/download.
The drama starts “smoothly”, but when I say smoothly, it’s already at a blazing speed… You can try the first episode, but you might end up watching all the others without being able to stop afterwards. The addiction is immediate. This is the evil that one can hope for from any drama. 🙂

  19. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, thank you. Your MDL message has been received.

I believe that once, years ago, I did try to watch the Japanese original but somehow the first episode did not grab me!! I should try again. But when I’m freer… *eye roll and sigh* 🙄 😞

  20. @GB, no ideas about your past experience. For me it was in line with my kind of favorite stories. Psycho-celerebral stuff, Death note, sherlock holmes and any mind-blowing movies.
In Liar Game, there is no violence and no romance.
Its more about friendship, confidence, honesty, selfishness and society metaphor.

  21. Kalimera.

I thought I have written to this thread, but I haven’t…Bummer.

I can vote for “Chocolate” that I have already watched and “Nine: 9 Times Travel” that I haven’t watched.

Also, I haven’t seen “Vincenzo” and “When the Weather is Fine”.

There is also “Youth of May” that will become accessible for us mid July on Netflix and I want to watch it because of the historical events.

P.S. @salteddust, you should check “Doom At Your Service” threads. We have discussed this drama thoroughly when it aired. Most of us B.O.D.’ers loved this show!

  22. I’m not yet sure, but I may want to take a break from a regular Saturday morning commitment during the summer when days are long and I’m not likely to get to bed Friday night in time to wake early the next day.

  24. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Juriel, my apologies, I find that I missed your post!! I’ve made a note to add in ‘Vincenzo’ for the next time we vote. We do have ‘Liar Game’ on the voting list though. 🙂

  25. Thank you @GrowingBeautifully. I appreciate your response, and I can do without Vincenzo for another month. Liar certainly attracts me.
    Best wishes,
    Juriel

  26. I should disclose that if one of my suggestions gets picked, I wouldn’t be able to contribute to discussion on October 15 & 22 because I’ll be traveling internationally.

  27. Dear agapimenes and chingus!!! I apologize for going awol on the rewatch party of W. After Holy Week it was hard to spring back to regular kdrama watching and rewatching. Daughter is college bound and that entailed campus visits, orientations and trips. Plus a very challenging quarter at work with all the supply chain craziness and China lockdown impact to manufacturing and logistics. Good news, Finally I am taking a long vacation in July to my home country with the daughter to visit and do the island life. So I will probably “JOMO” kdramas this summer but who knows, maybe Asia timezone will be more conducive to watch. Will stay in touch and will comment from time to time. Take care everyone!!! Cheers!

  28. Kalimera Ladies!

@Juriel it is nice seeing you around ! We haven’t talked for ages!

@Welmaris, no worries, everyone has their RL plans, so don’t be stressed from now!

I am glad to learn your news @Janey! Just relax and have fun! Enjoy your time in your homeland!

I would like to add that we are voting for the next show for our Rewatch Party that we are going to start in mid or late September.

So, I am going to vote for :

    -Chocolate (that I have watched)
    – Nine: 9 Times Travel (that I haven’t watched)

  29. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Juriel, I’ve put your name down for Liar Game in the vote. 🙂
@Welmaris, no problem. Just come when you can. This is a no-stress party!
@Janey, have a lovely, long vacation and a good, safe trip home. Read you whenever.
@Cleo, thanks for your vote, I’ve put it down in a separate doc to do the tallying in.

I’ll wait a bit before posting the interim voting results. Then you can decide to break a tie or change your vote or add a vote.

This is kinda fun!!! (It’s a good break from work and from some upsetting stuff that went on. *breathe in, breathe out*) I’m going to try to start on Café Minamdang. 🙂

  30. I’ll update the thread and re-post your list, @GB so people don’t have to scroll down to find this. 🙂

  31. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Many thanks @pkml3! This is very helpful. 😄

  32. Hi all,

Would adore a Vincenzo re-watch if there is appetite!

    x

  33. @GB, I don’t know how it works really.
Can I vote for Liar game?

@Hi Welmaris, glad to know you are well and came back.
I hope to see you for W final episode. 😉

  34. Post in haste etc… would adore watching ‘Vincenzo’ with you all at a later point.

  35. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Hi @WE and @Kate

Yes, @WE, I’m putting your vote in for ‘Liar Game’ 😇😁

@Kate, yes the next time we want to do a vote for another rewatch, ‘Vincenzo’ will be one of the candidate shows. 😂

In a couple of days or so, I’ll post the interim results. Please look out for them. 🙂

  36. @GB – thank you for all this! x

  37. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Kate, you are most welcome. I hope you can enjoy a rewatch with us! 😄

  38. @GB, you put “Sandglass” from my list in the pool, but it was making more sens to put “Penthouse”. Because I don’t think Sandlass is quicly rewatchable after first watch when Penthouse is something we wan’t to rewatch.
    But whatever.

I comment: My mister is on my watch list since a long time. But I know it’s quite slow, and also same writer than “Liberation Note”. So, I know it’s a drama I could enjoy to watch, but not watch then rewatch quickly after.

I’m not sure if I should vote also for Queen In Hyun Man and Nine Time Travel. As it’s SJJ dramas, they are rewatchable. Not sure if they are nice to rewatch quickly. It’s not W or MOTA about the value of quickly rewatch it.

For now, I do nothing more than to vote for Liar Game in full (season 1, 2 + Final stage). It’s the kind anyone want to rewatch as soon as first watch is over, and it have a great artistic value. Kind of “you have to watch that before to die”. 🙂

  39. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, you have good reasons for what you feel are good candidate shows for rewatching, however the only criteria that most of us use is whether we want to watch or rewatch something, regardless of rewatch value. The luck of the ‘vote’ is whether we can get more than 2 or 3 persons choosing the same show.

However I see that you’re facing the issue of ‘Decisions! Decisions!’ in the face of several good things to choose from. That is why a shorter list of shows is easier.

We’ll see how it goes. It is easiest when there is a majority, even if it’s just a majority by one! I’d really prefer that, to having to draw lots!

  40. Thanks agapimenes @Cleo @GB!!! 💗🌸💗

All the best on the voting!

  41. I’m not sure if I can put my vote in the[ ]. I can’t ever seem to even edit my own posts (no cut and paste !!!).

Are we limited in the number we can chose?

    If so —
    – When the Weather is Fine (I have seen)
    – Nine: 9 Times Travel (I have not seen)

    If not —
    – Doom at your Service (I have seen)
    – My Mister (I have not seen)
    – Queen In Hyun’s Man (I am in the middle of)
    – Chocolate (I have not seen)
    – Liar’s Game (I have not seen)

More or less in that order. I am intrigued by Liar’s Game (description by @We) so might move that higher, especially if it is easy to rewatch quickly after the first watch.

I will rewatch When the Weather is Fine at some point anyway for the poetry and to see if I pick up on the plot line any earlier, this go around. The drama between the sisters, and the aunt and the FL is interesting also. It is a slow drama thought (think book readings and poetry…)

  42. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

  44. It’s Winter, it’s very early morning, and it’s so cold. That’s apropos of nothing at all, except that I will tackle “Liar Game” after the 9th of July, assuming I can find it. Apparently it’s on Vicki, but it’s being coy. Anyway, that’s my selection, and I hope I can integrate with my lovely colleagues on the commenting. I’m looking forward to it.

    @Juriel

Either @WEnchanteur or I can send you some links to Liar Game but we prefer to do so on MyDramaList. Please go to MyDramaList, look for me under and send me a message.

  46. Hi Everyone!:) My school year just ended, so now I have more time.

I’d love to join the rewatch for the Liar Game. Where can we watch it?

    Thanks,
    Hatlady

  47. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @Hatlady, RE: Liar Game. Please look for me under ‘GBgrowingbeautifully’ and send me a message there.

  48. Okay, thanks, will do!

    Hatlady

  49. Hi @GBgrowingbeautifully, do you you mean look you up on Google? I tried and got web pages about how to grow hair beautifully, etc. ^_^ Thanks!

  50. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @Juriel, I noticed that my MyDramaList handle did not appear in the post above. Look for me on MyDramaList under ‘GBgrowingbeautifully’ and send me a message, to get the links to Liar Game

  51. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Hatlady, please look for me under ‘GBgrowingbeautifully’ on MyDramaList. And send me a message there.

  52. @GB, I’ll put the final movie “Liar Game Final Stage” on a google drive, because it’s easier than looking on the web or to download via torrent. +There is a sync subtitles file.

  53. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @WE, okay. You mean you’ve got “Liar Game Final Stage” with subtitles synced? Sounds like a good idea.

  54. @GB, I looked in my folder and when I got the raw, I downloaded a subtitle too with it. Yes the sync is perfect. But of course, it’s not endembed like the version I give you before. The subtitle is a separate file. So must be in the same folder than the video file.

It’s english subtitle. I auto-translate it after, but I always keep the original english file. Format “.ass”, not very compatible and with some styles I don’t like, but sometimes used to position some information. There is also a classic “.srt” file. So, just keep the file you want in the video folder.

The movie “Final Stage” that conclude the saga is 2h10 one. There is a bit of foreshadowing about that during Season 2 (just some images with an organ music).
The file is 2.9 go, with my slow internet connexion, 6h of upload. I let this in the night and hope there won’t be a bug during the upload.

    Hi @Hatlady and @Juriel
I received and accepted your MyDramaList requests to be Friends. However when I tried to send you both a message, I was able to locate 1 of you and not the other.

Since you use different handles/names in MyDramaList, I’m not sure whom I wrote to!!! So please reply to me here so that I know who managed to get my Message.

If you did not receive a MyDramaList message from me, please message me first so that I know which ‘handle’ to reply to. 🙂

    Hi Everyone,
It’s beginning to look like we might watch the Japanese Liar Game next rewatch party. @WE kindly sent links to this show on MyDramaList (MDL). So I’ll do the same.

Please find me as GBgrowingbeautifully on my MyDramaList, and please have as your profile an easy to recognise profile picture or icon, and It would be great if your handle there is the same as your handle here on BOD, so that I can recognise you!!!

I need to recognise which Friend you are in order to send you a message. There are too many people with the same name/handle in MDL!!!!

    🙂

  57. @GB, you can just post your profil link. Like this (with mine):

    “Operation Upload” successful!!

  58. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    @WE, I see,… MDL and I don’t work well together. LOL.

  59. @GrowingBeautifully, let me try it again. I don’t think my MyDramaList name is the same.

    Thanks,
    Hatlady

Hi Everyone! It’s been about 2 weeks since the voting list of shows for our next rewatch was posted. I believe that by now those who wished to vote have voted, and unless we get a sudden flurry of votes now, it’s looking like our winner for the next Rewatch Party:,,,

    *Our Next Rewatch Show*
… is the jdorama, ‘Liar Game’. *Yay!!!*

What I believe this next Rewatch entails is at least Season 1 (13 episodes).

We’ll then decide if we want to continue with Season 2 (9 episodes) and then there is the finale in a movie: The Final Stage. There is even a separate film Liar Game Reborn.

I suppose we’ll see how we feel about watching more seasons or the movies as we go along.

*When do we restart our rewatch?*
I mentioned in one of my posts that we’ll take a break for Summer. I feel we can take a 10-week break and start our next Party on 24 September 2022. What do you all think? 

  64. Kalispera @GB Unnie,

I am okay with the date. We can still talk about it when we enter September!

I will start season 1 after I return from my holidays!

  65. Liar Game Schedule. (2 propositions)

Saison 1 episodes are 35 minutes, except episode 11 & 12 are 45 minutes, and episode 13 is one hour. So episodes 1 to 10 could be watched with 2 episodes/week.
Saison 2 episodes are 45 minutes. 9 episodes.
Movie is 2h10. Could be split in two weeks.

If a 45 minutes episode is watched once a week, it makes a total 18 weeks.
If there are watched with two per week (1h30, like an hospital playlist episode), it makes 14 weeks.

  66. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Ah @WE, I see… so we have a choice on how many episodes to watch each week.

Well with the 35 minute episodes can definitely fit in 2 each week. As for the 45 minute ones, maybe we can too, if the other’s are ok with a 1.5 hour watch. As it is, we’ve also done a 1.5 hour watch tonight.

  67. Note: As a full drama with a conclusion, I put the 2 seasons and final movie.
If it was a korean drama, this real ending is needed.

  68. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, good news. I can download and play The Final Stage with the subtitles. Personally, I will want to watch until the end… including the movies. 🙂

  69. @GB, yeah, watch it, and give me your feeling!!! (in private if you prefer on MDL). ^^

  70. Hello Everyone,

Late September will be ideal for me as a start time for our next re-watch party “Liar Game”. Although it’s Winter where I live, I’m still finding myself quite busy for the next four or five weeks at least, so I’ll see you all around the 22nd of September with posts.
