BTW, if SangEun’s Sunday home looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen it in “Our Beloved Summer.” The building appears to be an administrative office in the Nonsan Onbit Natural Recreation Forest. If you want to know more about it, here’s a link to a website: koreandramaland.com.

Let’s enjoy the show.

  1. Yes, I did recognize her villa. I am amused when scene settings bring about déjà vu. Are all courtrooms in South Korea identical? I doubt it, but you’d think so from watching Kdramas.

I’m still not sure what to think of this drama, but I squealed at the end of Episode 3 just because I couldn’t predict where the story is going. What fun!

  2. @Welmaris,

I’m not in slapstick but I LOL’ed when the 2nd Male Lead slipped on the floor. I didn’t see that coming.

    Re. SangEun/Jamie’s assailant.

He isn’t the mysterious Hyung whom the 2nd ML asked to look into SangEun. The 2ML only contacted the Hyung AFTER SangEun’s attack The ending is misleading because it seemed like JiHo was accusing the 2ML of setting up the whole attack just so he could befriend SangEun.

No. I think the the attacker was the 2ML’s stalker. According to his manager, he had a stalker breaking into his house. That’s why his mom wanted him to move back into their home because it had the best security in the country.
(Ahhhh… was this the reason he moved into a new complex?)

There’s rumor going on that 2ML is gay. The stalker might be a male fan who assumed that he was dating a “dirty and cheap” girl like Jamie and decided to get rid of her.

Hence, JiHo told the 2ML that the Choi Sang Eun’s assailant was “related” to him, and might be known (or familiar?) to him.

I’m glad that I didn’t have to wait long for the Viki subs. However, I had to go to another site (dramanice) to verify what I actually watched.

    I found out that:

    1. The 2ML did NOT called Jamie “Jin Hye Mi” as she was walking out the condo. I wonder where the Viki subber got that name? lol.

    2. The 2ML did NOT say that “he” caused a lot of trouble.

    Per Viki:

Jamie: So you’re saying you’re the youngest son of the CEO of Gangjin Group?
2ML: I caused serious trouble then. I’ve been curious. I didn’t think you’d change your name.

    Per dramanice:

Jamie: So you’re the youngest son of the Gangin Group?
2ML: You caused such a big commotion back then so I was curious. I had not idea you had changed your name.

As of this morning, the Viki sub still has “I” instead of “you”.

    3. When SangEun was trying to picture which one of her clients could be her attacker, JiHo’s face flashed in her mind. But JiHo couldn’t be it because JiHo wouldn’t be out in the rain, getting wet like that. Sure enough, he used his umbrella and his umbrella was left in the hallway, outside the door, for her to see.

He’s a neat freak, though. I wondered why he didn’t have an umbrella stand or rack to put his umbrella in. 🙂

  3. I’m catching on with this drama because like @welmaris, I’m curious as to what is going to happen next.

Though I wondered why she didn’t recognize Jiho at the courts. Or maybe she was so focused on saying sorry that she didn’t even glance at him?

I worry for SangEun honestly, after so many weddings someone somewhere is bound to reconize her. Wrt her stalker, my first thought was the guy whom she went to the school gathering with and met at the mall. But he was so timid, I wasn’t sure he was able to pull it off. They are sure dropping suspicious clues to make us suspect all these people and bam! It’s someone else, like the 2ML’s stalker asylum say, @pm3.

Lastly, I didn’t quite understand why SangEun would be so offended by what Jiho said over dinner about the reason she was being stalked. He was clearly logical and not gonna care about her feelings but I still don’t quite get it. Maybe I should go back and study that conversation…

  4. Annyeong 🌼

Whew! Thanks for that clarification @PM3 – that the culprit is the 2ML’s stalker… yea the show left me feeling like he’s guilty, like he planned it. 🙁

that Jamie – such a slob though! the bathroom mess. is that why the 2ML slipped? it’s not the cat’s pee, right? haha Jamie the cat is housebroken, right?

their last day/date was nice but then it got ruined by Judge “frozen” haha. he spoke too much? AY YAY.

the ex-gay husband to the rescue. so cute. he even said the judge JIHO was handsome haha. Mr Money. haha. i can’t believe Jamie didn’t remember Jiho the judge. she was oblivious while in court several times? what a reveal tho. didn’t expect that. funny how he needed classes on how to be more social. he’s really trying, i guess. poor Judge JiHo.

  5. I’ve only seen through episode 3. I think the 2 ML stalker will be an issue and also the former client she ran into at the mall.
My favorite LOL moment was when Jiho walked in his office with the “glad you can relax” quip that ended up coming off as passive aggressive to the others in the office. The hope we can spend more time in his office. About the 2ML, do we think there’s a chance he actually IS gay and that’s why he’s always just been satisfied with Jamie the cat? And I wonder when we will meet the two middle brothers.

This morning I caught up on PMY controversy, not the best time to have cryptocurrency mentioned in the drama. 🤨

  6. I started this thanks to the threads and posts. I’ve binged it and have watched up to episode 5. To me it’s so much better than the previews led me to believe. I was expecting a rather silly story about someone who got rather greedy and found themselves pretend-married to two people simultaneously. Instead, I find the characters believable.

I’m looking forward to the contrasts between the husbands. I like the same but different apartments; Ji-ho’s is full of hard materials and little colour while Haejin’s looks colourful, comfortable and inviting. Hae Jin wears comfortable clothing at home but Ji-ho wears his white work shirt and black tie. It’s clothing that actually looks restrictive to match his emotions. There will be the balancing acts due to the deceptions. The actor’s family isn’t stupid; we saw that the actor already hired someone to get information about Sang Eun. I wonder what will happen when they realise she is the one who was supposed to marry the elder son?

It’s funny how Ji Ho is both very perceptive due to his years as a judge, but blind about himself and other people. I was surprised that his workplace makes him take interpersonal communication training. Is that normal in judicial workplaces?

I really enjoy the character of Woo Kwang-nam, the housemate. I like that the actor isn’t playing him as a caricature but a person with his own story and dreams.

The orphanage line-up scene was sincerely creepy, however. Sang Eun was selected based on her looks and groomed to be Mrs Yoo’s source of income without any pretence of providing emotional support.

  7. @Packmule3, as with you, I’ve been captivated by the 2ML’s complexity. He seems easy-going, yet there are hints that his breezy demeanor is carefully wrought to mask a driven person. What motivates him is his wish to be independent of his rich, controlling family. I was surprised when I looked up the actor, Kim Jae Young, and found I’d seen him in significant roles in two other dramas: as the older brother of the FL in 100 Days My Prince, and as the best friend of the FL in My Secret Romance. He’s created someone completely different from either of those two roles.

I’m also loving the character created by Kang Hyoung Suk, the gay roommate and ex-husband of the FL. I hope the excellent job he’s doing with this portrayal will lead KHS to receive many more roles in the future. I was surprised to read that he’s been in five Kdramas I’ve seen, but three of those were unnamed bit parts (Crash Landing on You, Dr. Romantic 2, Mystic Pop-up Bar), and one a named, but small, support role (Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol). He did have a significant role in Hometown Cha Cha Cha as the upright police officer who became the love interest of the FL’s best friend. His career is on a upward trajectory, and he seems to have a knack of picking quality projects. (He was also in Itaewon Class, but I haven’t watched that yet.)
