Xiaoshan called Wenbo a blockhead when she was speaking to XK in the last episode. It looks like Wenbo’s mother has the same thought. She has them all figured out and she approves.
Well that’s a good thing … otherwise it would be unfortunate given the proactive approach being taken by MK’s friend… a crush… more like an obsession!
It’s refreshing that Xiaoshan isn’t a snob. Wenbo’s family isn’t rich and seem thrifty.

I thought XK meant a takeaway, but there he is cooking like a champ. Xiaoshan is consulted secretly for advice. She thinks the situation is perfect, while MK thinks it’s stressful.

I think XK is ready to have MK know that it was him, but her conscious mind doesn’t let her think like that. She thinks it’s a random anecdote. But he also deliberately didn’t say, jewelry store, female hostage, grenade. Any of the things that would trigger her memory for certain. He’s led her there, but isn’t spoon-feeding it to her.
I’ll know by Tuesday or Wednesday. That’s usually when our 2 cinemas (well it’s Plymouth, right?) post the weekend updates.
Did you see ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’? I’m waiting for that to be available. Can’t get a dvd and really missed out seeing it with my husband and older daughter when it was released.

When Chen Tao said MK was almost masculine, that must have stung. She knows she’s not glamorous or stylish, like the Xiaoshan, or the other Neurosurgery resident.
(I think that Sandra Ma is both sort of an everyday girl-next-door type but also beautiful in a warm and accessible way.)
