  1. Thank you!!! ❤️

    I’m looking forward to it!

If this drama gets picked up in Netflix, I’d do a rewatch. ☺️

Thanks @pkml3. Yes the last 4 episodes together will be good all in one thread. I don’t think we’ll need separate threads. We’ll hold back our comments for a bit so as not to add spoilers, but I believe someone had a question to ask about Episodes 9 or 10? 🙂

  3. Hi @GB!

    I think it was @BethB?

Hopefully she’ll be able to come back to ask the question.

  4. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@agdr03, yes, that’s right. @BethB wanted to ask a question. I’m not giving this show as much attention as I normally do. I may not even know the answer LOL.

  5. Not sure too @GB. But I had a question about Shinwon’s arm. It’s all healed now. They said there’s a slight chance that it will go back to how it was before but it didn’t look like it was going to heal. Maybe it just needed salt water?

Also, the drama about the bribing of the court ladies being caught. I thought at some point the baddies would hear about them but maybe they didn’t. 😂

Anyway I’m just happy Hyeon is actively doing something to actually get the bad guys for good.

    Here’s to a royal baby and a wedding. ☺️🤞🏻

I’m not too sure about Shin Won’s arm. I had the impression that he could get rid of the paralysis if he tried hard enough or something like that. Saving SR was the catalyst to shake off the paralysis.

I’m tired of the baddies being arrogant and getting away with everything. The investigators are ineffectual or many of them have been bribed. Anyway in these last 2 episodes, they should receive their comeuppance.

Yes, all it will take is a royal baby, and proof that she’s a daughter of a good family, and then she can be married as the queen. I hope she gets a nice reunion with her sickly father (to make up for the one we did not get with Unlock My Boss!!!)

  7. Thanks for opening this thread!

My biggest question is who is the son of the former head court maid? I think they would not have spent as much time on this unless it was essential to the plot (if it proves to be some random stranger, then it’s sloppy plotting). The man that I thought could be her son was killed by the poison dart (he was also an orphan/the adopted brother of Shin-Won). Now that she has left the palace to search for her son and husband the search also should tie in to the overall theme of overcoming corruption in the palace, or getting our main couple together, but I’m not sure how. We see at the end of Ep 10 that she will have a forced return to the palace because she is being blackmailed—not, I hope, before she has gotten some answers outside the palace (and helped those bachelors in the woods prepare for some dates!).

Also why hasn’t So Rang told the king who she really is by now so that he will know that her step-mother is evil and a bad influence on the queen dowager? (Is this withholding of info still necessary to the plot this late in the show?)

My other question was why the bad guys didn’t simply kill So Rang once Shin-Won was injured and had left the palace. She was pretty vulnerable there. But maybe the king had other protectors for her we didn’t see (like the 2 bodyguards he assigns her later).

Any BOD-ers want to make predictions?

    1. How likely do you think it is that Shin-Won ends up with the sweet young woman with the facial scar? Or that he survives? (a lot of SML don’t in historicals).
    2. Will the queen search committee choose So Rang’s half-sister and So Rang will tag in at the wedding like her sister did at hers?
    3. Will there be a royal baby (is it already in the oven?!)

  8. Hi! ¡Hola!
I have been reading this blog and its wonderful and respectful comments for a long time. Now is the first time I write.

Reading the comments, I have seen that some readers do not understand the reason why Sin-won’s arm has healed. Maybe the English subtitles don’t indicate it?

I watch the drama with Spanish subtitles and they say that his arm heals because he received a very strong scare (and it seems that this was the only small chance to heal) when So-rang fell off the cliff and thinking that she was going to die, He also jumped to save her. …… And…..Miracle! LOL
After getting out of the Water he has healed his arm.

Well, it’s incredible but this is K.Drama and we believe everything. LOL.

I hope my comment has clarified the doubt. Sorry for my bad English.

You have a good day and happiness for all.
    Adios!

Hello @Numancia, welcome to commenting on BOD!

Thank you for giving us the reason for Shin Won’s miracle healing. It’s a funny reason, but who cares,… it’s a fun, fusion sageuk. Anything is possible and acceptable, as long as we have our trio of good guys and gal together, solving the crimes of those baddies.

Out of curiosity, I may check if the English subtitles say something similar. Perhaps someone who knows Korean can give us the translation to what Shin Won said about it, as well!

Regardless of how, a miracle is always good to have. 😇 🙏 😆

  10. @agdr03, I’m fine with a rewatch too. I’ll look at my schedule next week.

  11. Okie let me know. Sounds good!

    Thanks! ☺️

  12. Saying hi here and hoping to catch tonight’s episode, after another watch with hubby (watching Love In Time which is becoming really intriguing, anyone watching this?)

I also got it that like @Numancia that the shock was able to undo the paralysis. It’s a nerve issue is it? The doctor explained it to him that there is a possibility that it can recover. I’m so glad about that. He risked his life for SoRang and got a part of his life (his working hand) back.

Glad that the relationship between the King and ShinWon is healing. I guess time heals wounds.

Like @BethB, I was hoping or thought that the lost son of the head court maid is the the adopted brother of ShinWon too. Sigh…it would have been so sad if he was and she found that he died protecting ShinWon.

I’m looking forward to a happy ending the two couples and justice served!

  13. Thank you @GB for the welcome. You are very kind.

@Grace, yes, it was a nerve problem. I also hope (and I think it well be) a happy ending, but with the 3 couples: the King and So-rang, The girl in the tavern and the book artist, and Shin-won and the girl with the scar on her face.

This drama despite several “deja vu” with The Red Sleeve, have nothing to do except some dresses and being shot on the same stage. It’s a light and comic show with the purpose of entertaining the viewer and having a good time, therefore it will have a happy ending for the good guys, and the bad guys will be exposed and punished. I think it will be like that.

  14. My second happy ending happened. 🥰 I just wished we were shown a scene where SoRang tells Hyeon that she’s pregnant. That would have made me over the moon. But anyway Ri-yoon is their daughter? Is that right? Min-Woo is Shinwo’s son definitely.

Please correct me if it’s wrong.

I’ll come back tomorrow for more comments. 👋🏻

  15. aNNYEONG 🐇

Yay Happy ending for every single people in the show 💗 so funny that they have to wait 40 days til their wedding day. funny also when the court lady started bombarding SoRang with all the technical stuff of being a Queen. no bleeding ears this time. haha.

@agdr03, i was confused by that last scene with Riyoon and MinWoo. haha. it kind’a could only be that – i presume – the kids of our Lead couples. cute.🤞

on to the next show 😍

  16. @agdr03 and @HK_Lady, I came here to find out about the epilogue with the two children and who they were. Thank you for answering my question!

  17. There was an epilogue? Thanks, @Kate. How did I miss that? 😒

  18. It was right at the end after all the credits. It was easy to miss unless you’re paying attention to the time left.

    Have you seen it? ☺️

  19. Yes, that epiloque. 💗

I wasn’t expecting it either. i just like to watch all credit coz i love it when they show CREW pics. it was a nice surprise. like watching Marvel movies. but left me with a ? mark on top of my head and i was gonna let it go until it was mentioned here by @agdr03 hahaha

  20. Are those children of the King and Queen, and the loyalty bodyguard? 😂

Thanks, @agdr03. I would have totally missed it if you hadn’t mentioned the epilogue.

  21. I’m late chiming in here because I’ve had Covid for the last few days and have just been sitting around with a fever, etc. Today I’m feeling better.

I enjoyed this show so much, and the ending was very satisfying (for once, our SML didn’t die, there was no stupid distance made by noble idiocy, etc.). I’d be happy to do a rewatch (although I do tai chi on Saturday mornings, so I may not be able to join).

I was right about the elder sister tagging in at the wedding–well, marriage announcement. Perhaps that was obvious to everyone else as well? And we did get a baby–as seen in the epilogue with the children of the King and LSW. I was wrong about the Head Court Lady’s son being someone we already knew–or that that storyline would swing back to the main story. I guess it sort-of did with her sister replacing her, as a mirror to what was happening with So Rang. It didn’t seem that important to the story except that her spurred her to later accept the Head Eunuch’s proposal. Maybe it was mostly there to show what court ladies had to give up when they joined the royal court.

Speaking of eunuchs–I had watched another historical where a woman was having an affair with a eunuch so I looked up the–er–mechanics of that. Apparently eunuchs were sought-after as (often secret) consorts for women back then because they could perform as men but they wouldn’t impregnate them. Some eunuchs, as happened in this story, would marry and adopt children.

Not sure what I’m going to watch after this. Kokdu?
