  1. Kalispera @Packmule3!

I will be watching it with you! 😊

  2. Okay!! 👍

Btw, how are things going with you and your family? You’re not impacted by the wildfires, right?

  3. Me, me, and Me … it’s a watch party.

  4. I’ll be here too because I watched S1 with you. 😊

Hopefully I can handle the scary bits the same as in S1. 😬

Nice to see the addition of one of the guys from Alchemy of Souls. ☺️

  5. @packmule3,

We are okay, although sad about what is happening…

I do hope you are okay too and you are relaxing from your work travels.

  6. Good, @agdr03. I don’t think it’ll be that scary.

Yes, I heard the actor from Alchemy is joining. One of Jang Uk’s buddies…the rich one who had a puppy crush on the Jin daughter. I hope he’s one of the good guys, and not a demon in disguise. Though I can’t imagine him as a demon.

  7. @Packmule3,

He is going to be a Counter too who can “smell” the baddies…

  8. I think he will be the new recruit from the trailer so he’s got to be a good guy right?. 😃

But sometimes the good guy turns bad too. We will see. 😁

  9. Ahhh. So he’s a Counter. That’s good. 😂 It’ll be funny to see how he sniffs out the demons.

We’ll get to see his athleticism, too.

  10. @agdr03,

I’m going to trust the Counters’ vetting process but I’ll verify that he’s indeed one of the good guys.

  11. 😂 You mean you and your alter-egos, @John?

I’m glad you’ll be joining us.

  12. @Packmule3,

I read an interview InSoo gave for being part of the show and he said he wanted to do his best.

He is going to be a fun addition, I think from the teasers they have released…
    We shall see!

  13. True about trusting the Counters. 👍🏻

Yes, please verify for us. If I’m doubting it I’ll let you know. ☺️

    Hi All and thanks @pkml3!
It’s great to see so many gathering for the UC Party! I’m getting excited just thinking about it. 😂

On MDL, I clicked the ‘Cast and Crew’ and then found that the character names are also CLICKABLE!! I didn’t know we could do that (maybe it’s because this is Season 2).

Below is the link to the background info on So Moon. So cool to re-visit and remember our characters. The most info is given concerning So Moon, whose trajectory we followed, but we can click on all the main characters and get their brief ‘bio-info’ too!

  15. Hi all and thanks Packmule,
Joining in for season two. I probably should go back and watch end of season one to get up to speed. Not sure if I have the time though. Am watching KTL and Heartbeat right now.

  16. Kalimera!

Netflix dropped a video with this season’s recap on the show!

    Enjoy!

  17. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Thanks @Cleo, but oh dear… the recap makes the series look fraught with danger, suspense and stress for viewers!!!

  18. Kalimera Unnie!

Yes, as it seems, it will be stressful. Still I want to watch it! LOL

  19. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Cleo, nevermind, we will destress together. 🤪

Usually at what time are you able to watch a currently airing drama? I believe I may watch it earlier than you or much later ie the next day. Pity we cannot synchronise our watch timing to be about the same time so that we can scream together LOL 😱🫣🤯😲😵‍💫😖😂🤣

  20. Unnie,

I watch them at night my time. So, most likely you will be sleeping. I don’t think my screams will reach you ! LMAO!

P.S. In August I won’t be online as much for some time. 😁

  21. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Cleo, OK, I’ll scream first and then send the echo over on the threads here LOLOL. I’m also busy in August and again in November. 🙂

  22. Okay Unnie,

I will try to listen… LOL

    I will remember that!

  23. Old American Lady (OAL)

@Cleopatra, I’m in. Although the drama can be suspenseful, it’s a lot of fun. I wish we had a real counter noodle shop to go to. I’d eat there in a New York minute. (And given it’s popularity the noodles would be good and not soggy). I love those counters and the fact that they are also healers. Looking forward to the fast paced fun!

Also praying for moderating weather for 5hose of you who are experiencing extrem3 heat and drought.

  24. Kalo mesimeri my dear @OAL…

Thank you for the prayers. <3

It would be nice to eat in such a place…

  25. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Hi @Cleo and Everyone,
I didn’t scream yet but it was a really suspenseful beginning from the very first minute. For one thing, the opening credits OST already got the heart pumping faster. And the second I saw the cute kids and the fact that the bus driver’s face was not shown at the start, got me stressed at once. Of course the red lights in his eyes proved that our worst fears would come true. A kindergarten bus driven by a demon was quite a starter to showcase our Counters’ special powers.

The car-bus chase and stop scene was well done. So Mun’s psychokinesis/telekinesis was so cool. The kids going ‘Wah!’ were super cute. This time they didn’t show us what happened to the evil spirit that was summoned.

I like that Uncanny Counter gives time for the introduction and building of the side stories that will be continued here and there and in later episodes. Lots of human interest stories together with uncanny supernatural happenings make the weird stuff relatable. And our heartstrings get pulled when those side characters undergo their challenges.

The balance between fighting evil with warm human relationships and humour continues this season too. LOL Mo Tak supposedly getting hunches when in the toilet.

WRT to the introduction to the new more powerful villains, it took me a while, wondering why I was hearing non-Chinese sounding Chinese, LOL but that was background info to lead into Episode 2 and beyond. Appreciation to the Korean actors who spoke Chinese (instead of being dubbed) the best they could, and also to the Chinese Counters who had the worst deal. Sadly they didn’t get to eat Mae Ok’s noodles.

Sidenote: Whenever there’s collateral damage, I wonder what happened to other victims like the people inside the car the bus rammed into. They didn’t have the benefit of Mae Ok’s healing.

  26. Kalimera Unnie et al!

I do hope you are okay. The first episode started full of suspence in order to set the pace for what is going to happen next.

I was happy to see Cho Byeong Kyu to be on my telly. I have missed him after those allegations – that he bullied someone when he was at school -that made him stay away from everything. He denied them of course, but still, I think the whole incident has a toll on him.

Although, I was happy to see So Mun, at the same time, I feel that the burden on his shoulders is too much.

I am just leaving those thoughts here. Let’s go back to the plot.

Unnie, this balance between comedy and drama is serving us the right moments to relax before the battles.

The “OPPA” scene from Mun’s Halmeoni was great! It made me smile a lot. Halmeoni has dementia and Haraboji is taking such a good care of her.

I was glad to see Mo Tak (Yoo Joon San) after the conclusion of AoS. There are some people that I want to see more and more after some shows. I am glad that Yoo In Soo (his nephew in Aos) will be the brand new Counter.

Kim Se Jeong’s Do Ha Na is prettier than ever as a bad ass Counter and I appreciate Yeom Hye Ran for delivery such a beautiful Mrs. Chu.

Also, the actors who play the baddies nailed it! Especially Kang Ki Young who was always one of the good guys in his previous works!

I am eager to see how the Firefighter Ma Joo Seok’s story will be used in the plot, he seems to be some sort of special person who has a potential and some use most likely for both sides. (I remember that from watching the recap video from Netflix.)

    Let’s go Counters!

  27. Old American Lady (OAL)

@GB, Thanks for the rundown. It means that I’ll watch it this week instead of saving it for later. I think it’s a sign that there are now international counters. I hope there is a trip to the States if there are more seasons and they haven’t jumped the shark(an American term for overstaying their welcome and watering down the drama). I love the fact that the counters are not all thsane age and have an ahjumma character(us oldies have representation to use a current term). Yay!
