I find this Korean adaptation better in that the set up for the future is done earlier and unnecessary bits are omitted. Each episode is shorter than the Taiwanese version. I also fancy there’s more that’s funny, with better build up of relationships with side characters/family. The latter is one of the strengths of kdramas.

  2. EP 5

Hmmmmm… another suspect has appeared. Loved the pint-sized Han Jun-Hee 😀 . Han Jun-Hee learning Kwon Min-Joo’s abysmal grades made me laugh. Her mom giving her money for jumping 100 places made her face look like she got consolation money 😉 .

Hi @FGB, I see that you’re forging ahead here! I feel that all these earlier episodes are still building up for the twists and slow reveals. Now I’m remembering why I liked this show.

  4. Dear @GB, no, I’ve got momentum 😉 . This series is ridiculously binge-watchable so far!. It is a nice recommendation. So far I have ended Episode 6.

Hah! @FGB, wait til you get to Ep 9 and get all twisty untwisty LOL.

    EPISODE 5
We get the introduction of Han Jun Hee as a child who meets 18-year old Si Heon. She already gives Si Heon her name and tells him not to forget her. We find that he truly never did, although he may have not connected the Jun Hee he knew with the kid he met in 1998.

  7. @GB I paused at episode 4. I didn’t watch the Taiwanese version but I want to know if this is going to be a drama with a sad ending. I won’t continue if it is.

Hi @FF, the ending is happy. I’d call it a good ending,… the way it ought to have been without the time loop and time jump aberration. It’s left a bit open but on a note of positive possibility. 🙂

I recommend the Show. Gets some of our brains into a knot and then we slowly iron them out, LOL.

  9. @GB, gets some of our brains into a knot and slowly iron them out haha. Ok I shall take my time to iron it out.

  10. I have dropped watching the TW version and now at episode 6 for ATCY.
Really love the outdoor setting at the gardens, the school, the record shop.
The time travel knots are really good hooks of the story. I have so many questions as I watch! ie. What the intention of the murderer is, and whether she will be able to change the fate of MinJu, and how this will work out (or not!) in the end.

I’m enjoying the build up, SiHeon gradually liking the JunHee in MinJu’s body. JunHee is the one he really likes and if it is the original MinJu, he wasn’t crazy over her. It was InKyu who liked MinJu. It was exciting to have to see 6yo JunHee! She is really that bright cherry personality as she was as a child.

@grace, yes the must do for time travel into the past shows are that the protagonist must want to change the future. And they do stuff that leads to all kinds of hell breaking loose. However in this show I think it was what was done in the future that would be disturbing.

  12. @GB I’m looking forward! Honestly when the pieces come together, it is very satisfying. For SiHeon, he is experiencing the side that JunHee experience when she was in the past, except that he had the benefit of hindsight.

Now starting episode 9, so I will go to the next thread when I finish the whole drama in a few days.

For now, the show leaves us with uncertain that InGuk was the one who killed MinJu. And suspecting the other guy.

  13. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@grace, yup, the slow reveal is satisfying, but Show has something else up its sleeve that is not apparent yet.

  14. Thanks @GB for dropping the hints without spoilers!! 😘😘

Also, I am falling in love with the songs and the very classical strings bgm for the scenes. You are right in saying that the OST for the scenes are all different. I wonder if there is a connection with the ost at the credits with the episode.
After every episode i will savour the song for the episode as the credits roll.

This is a show to sit on the feelings, the moments when they look at each other and tear 🥹🥺 done so well.
