  1. @packmule3! Steady on. 😆🤨

  2. I totally didn’t see this. 😂

Can he open me up too?!🤣

    Pardon the language! 🤭

  3. @agdr03, cough cough. Just spit my drink.

  4. Some immediate thoughts…

I loved that our hero was a newbie driver taking lessons in how to impress on a date! Too cute. ECW inhabits the adorb-dork-awkward space beautifully.

I do hate the inevitability of obstacles to love in these rom coms – especially in the shape of manipulative women/men and heroes/heroines who can’t say ‘No.’ But good comedic use was made of the interception by the wealthy, pink suited teacher who is after our ML.

I love the little dog version of our FL. The show makes such good comedic use of the little terrier – the facial expressions and quiet doggie quandaries. It made sense, too, that a one sided kiss wouldn’t do the trick.

I am enjoying this show…I don’t like the thought that the next episode is in 14 days… I find it hard to settle in enjoy the episode in a relaxed way. I keep watching to see how much time we have left and then my heart sinks as the time flies by.

  5. And… of course more clues about the way our FL and ML’s fates are linked in history – a tragic backstory which also involves Bogyeum who keeps offering us heavy but inconclusive hints!

It really helps to have a few more episodes, and clues, to chew on as we go.

  6. *CEW* not ECW!!

  7. @Kate. No worries, we knew who you meant!

I thought it was hysterial how the life size bride and groom standees protected the ML from the scheming woman in pink. Serves her darn right, too. He completely had her sussed by the end of the ride. He drove away without even saying good bye to her.

Wasn’t the aerial shot of Hae Na and Bo Gyeom’s shadows at the beach intriguing? Hers was normal, but his became tree-like then something else altogether. I wondered if anyone could make out what it was?

The flashback of Hae Na’s ancestor grieving over Seo Won’s ancestor foreshadows another kind of break in the current relationship, but how it will manifest itself is a mystery.

I can’t help but feel that the two sisters should confide in their mother even if she gets angry with them. I do understand that they want to do as much as possible on their own first. I laughed when Hae Na said the curse has too many variables.

I was also yelling at the screen when the sister Yoo Na shut the dog into Seo Won’s bedroom and closed the door. If Hae Na HAD transformed and had been discovered, she would have been naked and fumbling to open the door to escape. Well, it may eventually happen, I suppose. If his kiss needs to be freely given it will be a less dramatic situation. I’m glad that their relationship getting stronger.

  8. Fern, re. the aerial shot of HaeNa and BoGyeom.

It was a sketch of a ferocious tiger on the sand. Wait for my write-up. I’ll take a screenshot and try to outline it.

I laughed at the antics of Hae Na’s sister and pseudo-boyfriend. When they appeared outside the nephew’s apartment dressed in black like MI5? Hahaha. I didn’t expect that. They’re the scene stealers for me in this kdrama.

  9. I rewatched the beach scene. @packmule3 was correct about Bo Gyeom as tiger. His shadow is somewhat abstract, but it really looks like a tiger and it’s coming after Ha Nae.

I saw this on the internet. The white tiger holds a special importance in Korean culture. In Korean mythology, it is believed that when a tiger has been through many obstacles and eventually comes to understand the true meaning of life, the fur turns white and the tiger becomes a sacred spirit. The wise white tiger focuses on what is right and wrong, and its presence makes the powerful become humble and the rich become generous. This strengthens the beliefs of tigers being seen as guardian deities.

  10. I had forgotten about that wonderful shot of the tiger shadow in the sand!

That was memorable. I look forward to further commentary.

Thank you @Fern for more on tigers and their significance in Korean culture. It does sound like Bogyeum is on his own life pilgrimage while – as we think – trying to nudge along our ML and FL.

  11. @packmule3, I saw the tiger shadow. I think we must have posted at the same time.

I agree about the sister and her boyfriend. Cho Jin Se played the baker in My Lovely Liar and here he’s a vet. He has a fabulous face for the camera and can be funny without trying too hard. I think he’ll have loads of character roles.

@Kate, yes, he seems to need the ML and FL to get together but it won’t be easy or painless. It almost seems like he has been cursed himself or until he rights a wrong to do with their ancestors, he can’t move on.

  12. I haven’t seen the current episode but I’ll catch up tonight.

That’s a bummer if the next episode is in 2 weeks. 😬

  13. I suspect that many people, unless strong fans of the actors, will put this one on hold and watch it when it is nearly over. First one episode/week then one every two weeks because of poor planning. Viewing numbers will drop. — Shameful and no good for the actors and team who worked so hard on it.

  14. I totally agree @Fern. It’s a long wait in between and knowing me, I’ll probably be like, what happened last time? 🤔😁

I guess it’s ok for me if I am to pick up 2 kdramas and 1 cdrama in November.

  15. @agdr03, I started another kdrama to cope with the lack of GDTBAD. But the upside is fans of CEW will have him around for longer — sort of drop-feeding to sustain them. A little bit of honey goes a long way.
