Because we kept our cool last week, we’re rewarded with a reunion from our couple! This will have lots of screenshots so I hope I don’t slow down your internet.
Story opens with WooHyun visiting Unnie at the hospital. He sees commotion; doctor and nurses rushing to Unnie’s room. He peeks in. Unnie’s regaining consciousness. YooJung tears up, grateful. He gazes at her, probably waiting for her to notice him at the door. Then she sees him and smiles that Mona Lisa smile.
Next scene, he’s still at the hospital. He texts her. It’s the best of times and the worst of times… (whoops! My bad. That’s Dickens.) He tells her that he understands that she’s had a tough time and that she should stay strong.
Then, he takes out their couple ring and tells it that he misses her. like okkkaaaayyy, that ring is not a neurotransmitter. How will YJ hear your message??
She gets his message. And she telepathically communicates the same thing: These have been trying times, stay strong.
She puts on her ring. Preciouuuussss. The attention that this ring is getting is reaching Lord-of-the-Ring obsessive.
She’s back with Unnie. Unnie gives her blessings to pursue happiness if that’s what she wants. She isn’t going to play “Catcher in the Rye” anymore with her. (Have you read this book? If you’re in a teenager reading my blog, I suggest you stop reading me right now and pick up that book.)
YJ gets a report from police. I really don’t care anymore about the stabber. Unless the person is a gamechanger, I don’t care.
Meanwhile, Stepmom visits Dad. She’s as mad as a wet chicken. +100 points on her powder blue dress but -120 points for her tacky fur collar and necklace. But he tells her something which pipes her down. Something about the fire perhaps. She’s subdued as she leaves the office. I heard Kang Hye Joo’s name a lot.
She talks to WooHyun afterwards. I heard an apology. Must be the fire then.
Meanwhile Stephan… I mean Stephyung and wife are looking at some prime real estate. Oh! I think medical office can move here. Is this the WH’s father’s doing??
But WooHyun seems to be clueless and he talks to his mom and she sounds even more clueless than he is.
Then, it’s time for him to drive to the hospital to meet her. She’s surprised to meet him.
I heard the word “parang” so this must be bringing up the wind promise again. Okay…
I’m hearing Earth, Wind, and Fire kind of reunion.
See the rings?? Who wouldn’t?? They’re the special guest stars of this episode.
Then, they leave together. tsktsktsk. She even forgot her coat. I think he says something like “when’s the last time they went dating” because I definitely heard the word “dating.”
Meanwhile, Unnie gets a date a visit from Cha Group director. Hey… they look like a nice couple.
And Reporter must have gotten a text from Donsaeng. Hey! when it rains, it pours!!!!
Only Wannabe Wife’s upset. Poor girl. There are better shots of her but I took this one because I want to immortalize her scary eyes. (hahaha)
Meanwhile our hardworking reporters are out digging some dirt again. Heyyyy! Give them another Shake Shack meal!! They’re worth it.
Wannabe Wife meets with her nemesis. She begs for something. Omona, is the rattesnake rattled?
Our couple goes on their date. Just watch this scene yourself.
This one is funny, though. WH trolls the attendant.

Unnie approves of the scandal.

But WH meets with the Stepmom again.
Now, our girl is just FLAUNTING that ring away, isn’t she? That’s such an *obvious* hand positioning.
Meanwhile, our guy goes to Aboejji and tells him the good news.
But I think he probably brings up the topic of introducing them because the father suddenly looked serious.
Or maybe something about the fire because he’s fiddling with his fire necklace.
Back in the hospital, Reporter reports on the story she and Unnie were working on.
Unnie is released from the hospital and they celebrate.
Later that night, Unnie and YJ slept together. Grrr…
She tells YJ that WH met with her. I think it had something to do with WH’s promise at the beach that he’d talk to her and insist on them dating in public.
The following day, Unnie goes to a meeting with the Choego Group. Hmmm….is the father blackmailing Unnie and their company? Sigh.
Meanwhile, the Empire Strikes Back. Wannabe Wife meets with YJ’s ex-boyfriend and bribes him to out the happy couple as fake and mess up their love reunion. (But…but…but… isn’t he a gigolo? Out him as a male escort to chaebol girls then.)
And in another part of the town, YJ visits dad for the first time in what? 20 years? and as luck would have it, WH visits aboejji, too.
lol. That’s a nifty three-prong attack from the writer: Unnie’s company will be targeted by the Choego Group, the Milk Couple will be outed as fake by YJ’s ex, and both YJ and WH will have to deal with the fire connection.
We might have a short-lived happiness but I’ll take it any day to the melodrama we had last week.

The step-mom Madam’s styling is interesting. When we saw WH’s flashback to the fire, she was sporting the same bouffant she wears today. Is that a chaebol power haircut? Looking online, actress Oh Mi Hee’s characters often sport an Ivana Trump updo.
Preciouuuuus 😆 is going around between the index finger and the ring finger of WH. I don’t know why?

With 3 episodes to go I would like the fire connection dealt with between WH, YJ and her Dad by episode 14. Choego Group going after Unnie and WW dealt with by episode 15. I just want all happy happy/lovey lovey on the last episode. This is my wish for Christmas! 🤣
Oh pretty please, can we write our dream final episode synopsis? I feel it my bones that this show is going to kick us in the nads one more time so I’m going to follow the example of @agdr03 (are you a veterinarian???) and imagine something sweet and shexy.
After vanquishing their enemies and repairing family connections—blah blah blah blah blah— uri Milk Couple decide they don’t want to date anymore.
“Let’s get married.”
Woo-Hyun and Yoo-Jung ask Unni and Step-hyung to witness their marriage registration and get hitched first thing in the morning without fuss. Marriage certificate in hand, they pack Yoo-Jung’s adorable red suitcase into the Porche (opening and closing the hatch multiple times) and head back to the same beach community where they’d previously exchanged their informal vows.
They surf and eat fried chicken for lunch. They shyly agree that it’s been a tiring morning and head to their previous little beach hotel for a “rest.” WH admits that he’s never actually dated other women. YJ says her relationships always ended quickly because she only want to hug and kiss.
WH says he looks forward to hugs and kisses with YJ for the rest of their lives. YJ laughs, accusing her husband of being corny. But she loves it.
They don’t leave the beach hut for the next 24 hours and narrowly avoid UTIs because WH is a doctor and knows you should always pee after sex.
They remodel a huge portion of another floor of Yoo-Jung’s building for their new apartment, wood working studio, and Pilates studio. Montage of them working together—working with an architect, making furniture, tending to plants, making art and later … makin’ babies!
Yoo-Jung completes another prestigious, award-winning film and tells an interviewer that experiencing true love and friendship with WH helped her be a better actor. She reveals her pregnancy during a post-award interview, explaining that after a decade of working non-stop, she looks forward to taking a rest and spending time with their baby.
Last scenes of our Milk Couple just being sweet as the dickens, WH smooching on YJ’s baby bump (because Kdrama), cracking each other up and caring for one another.

I’ve watched episode 13 at 91% subbed. I’m glad things are getting resolved with Choego Group and Yoo Jeong Entertainment. Even Stepmother finally apologised to WH and acknowledged that her son is like this now because of her sins before.
That WW is more desperate now. Seriously, how will they stop her?
Our Milk Couple is back together and even doing public things together but why do I feel they’re not as comfortable as before? This is just me watching them together. Maybe I’m missing the smiles and hugs. Or because it’s public now they’ve gone more reserved. Don’t mind me ☺️ They’re still weighed down by issues after all. I mean look at WH, after 2 episodes of not seeing YJ he couldn’t take care of his face 😁 I wanted to touch his face and say ‘what happened? You’re missing your good person huh?’ 😩
I’ll rewatch it tomorrow but it’ll be late as I’ll be helping sister again with cleaning and babysitting 😊

I agree that their reconciliation was underwhelming. I’d prefer that he didn’t text her but told her in person after Unni woke up from her operation.
I liked that they went public and actually told people that he/she is my boyfriend/girlfriend 🙂 YJ looked pretty in that outfit (coffee date scene) that WH picked at the store. I thought WH looked funny doing the peace sign to the reporters. 😀 Before he was so nervous but now here you go 😀
So did WH’s lawyer friend told him what he was thinking about on that scene where he said that it was his half brother that started the fire or was there something else? I’m not sure. He certainly is shady yes. There’s a scene on him on the preview.
How happy was YJ’s Dad to know that WH’s Mom thinks of YJ as a daughter? 🙂
