He’s Psychometric: Ep 13 As Predicted…

Jisoo died.

We couldn’t say that we didn’t see her death coming because the signs were always there. The screenwriter and director shoved her death notice in our faces every. single. episode. I thought it would have been less obvious if they paid a full page obituary in the Washington Post, “RIP Detective Eun Jisoo.”

Nonetheless her death was shocking. Jisoo was a very sympathetic character.

And I liked her unnie relationship with Lee Ahn. This scene was particularly touching.

When I first watched this, I thought it was ominous. It sounded as if she was giving Jaein her last words. That is, she was leaving behind her adoptive, younger brother Lee Ahn to Jaein so Jaein could guide and take care of Ahn as she had done all those years.

Good job, Kim Dasom, for a strong performance! Will try to catch you in your future dramas!

  1. Im so broken rn. I saw it coming but….. it took me over 2 hours to finish this episode. Jisoo…. 😢😢😢😢😢 and as I expected ahn blamed himself for it. Kim Dasom your amazing. Eun Jisoo i will miss you so much 😢😢😭😭😭💚😢

  2. exactly, even with all those warnings, her death were still shocking. i just, refuse to believe that the writer actually really killed Jisoo like that, but they did. ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ.. and look at how Seongmo reaction, now noone would have a doubt that he really loves her..

i like their unnie-dongsaeng relationship too, she has always been there for him, and always trust him and his ability. 🙁 Eun Jisoo you will forever be cherished and missed..

Kudos for Dasom for this beyond expectation performance. ❤️

  3. I’m speechless after watching it. The whole episode was dark. I cried with Lee Anh at the hospital and with Jisoo in her last scene with Sungmo. She still had to get the sunflower necklace in her car and it’s got her picture with Sungmo isn’t it? I believe that Sungmo did feel something for her but he couldn’t reciprocate because of his past. Everything’s out in the open now and LA is devastated. There is Sungmo, the marionettist.

Agree with @strawberynyoung that Jisoo’s death was still shocking. After all that you’ve explained and it is correct, one thing I couldn’t get past was that the father was the same as the son.

Well done Kim Dasom! 👏 👏 👏 I wanted to hug Lee Anh too! 😭

  4. Urgh…that was brutal. I was in denial…witnessed the foreshadowing but just didn’t quite want to believe it… RIP JiSoo. 😢. Same with SM…I would like to see some redemption arc for him and not for him to turn into the monster all the foreshadowing is alluding to…but…maybe it will be a final LA vs SM battle in the end just like Darth and Luke… Will LA (Luke) save SM (Darth) from his demons? This drama is killing me…in a good way. 😮

The mirrors played heavily in this episode. What you see without is not what lies within. All respectable on the outside but evil within – SM?. “What is essential is invisible to the eye” – this quote has gone dark…very dark 😢. I hope the other famous quote from Little Prince rings true too in this drama “It is only with the heart that one sees rightly” – LA believed his Hyung to be good…let’s hope for his sake his belief isn’t shattered.

The sticky notes on the mirror…9 in total…squares of a Rubik’s cube…but not all the same…there are still pieces in play…and SM the puppeteer is still doing the manipulation.

What’s spooky to me? Creeped me out that SM was the one to give his mom the ring…what if he’s obsessing over her like his dad was? 😬.

Also, SM’s dad seems to be alluding to SM being the one responsible for knifing the 3 ladies in the apartment and setting fire to the building…although he admitted to the body in the suitcase. What I would like to think is that SM’s dad was implying that when SM stabbed him, he wanted to feel what it was like to stab others too so he killed the ladies?? Otherwise to claim that SM killed the ladies and set fire to the apartments doesn’t fit the timeline and story thus far…it was definitely SM’s dad who took the jacket off JI, he wheeled the suitcase into the apartments…it wouldn’t make sense for SM to suddenly have the jacket and knock on the apartment next door? I can accept he potentially set fire to the apartments to hide his mother’s identity though…

It bugs me that KGY didn’t kill SM’s dad in the altercation at HanMin. “I could kill you here but I would lose my VIP customer”? “You need enemies to have allies”? SM was the VIP customer? Hmm…unless he is saying that SM is paying him for every identity change, and therefore the dad needs to stay alive for that to keep happening? Had he killed SM’s dad, all the running and hiding would be over? So no more business with the VIP customer? Did SM order the ‘tying off of loose ends’ with the ladies in the suitcases? 🤔

Also there was a second entrapment of SM…his mom said so…which is why he had the bleeding ankle at the apartment. Where was his mom then? How did he escape a second time??

Last but not least, if SM was driving his mom away from the HanMin home (and he was dressed in the same black outfit as his dad 😬)…where was KGY? He had her last (she was drugged out and said she only came to in the new home?). That doesn’t make sense. SM didn’t know where his mom was after that incident?? Or that was how it appeared anyway? Unless he knew where she was stashed by KGY but just didn’t get the chance to get her name which was why he was glad to find out what her new identity was when the Dragon Recruitment (?) bust happened and he reconnected with her again.

There is still some ‘good’ left in SM. He wanted LA/JI and his mom away from the confrontation with his dad – he sent them to the other station. What he didn’t foresee was that poor JiSoo didn’t get that memo and therefore ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time to try to stop him – my heroine to the end… He loved(?) her though. His tears said as much…that’s what I want to believe anyway. ❤️😢

🌻🌻🌻🌻 Sunflowers in Memorium. She died in the arms of the man she loved. 😭

  5. One final note. SM’s dad tells LA that all SM did was to ‘tame him’. In the Little Prince, the fox was tamed. The Little prince ‘established ties’ with the fox. If SM is the Little Prince, in the story, the Little Prince dies… Foreshadowing? Now that JiSoo is dead, there may be where SM is headed too…redemptive death…like Jesus on the cross.

  6. I’ll second that @nrllee , how did Sungmo kill those ladies wearing JaeIn’s Dad’s jacket? Unless they had an altercation before the killing? If Sungmo did kill them, why? He could have just used that 1 body in the luggage that his Dad brought to used to claim that his Mom died. I’m trying to be hopeful that Sungmo didn’t. But from that last scene it looks like he’s ready to kill his Dad.

@packmule3 , you still haven’t put the blog about the police ranking.

  7. I’m heartbroken even though this was foreshadowed. Dasom did a phenomenal job and Jisoo was one of the best female characters I have seen in recent dramas. I’m going to watch sistar’s performances to heal myself now.

  8. That’s a good idea!

I just googled them and I’m listening to “Loving U”. It’s fun!
