Now we have the hypocritical staff reporter or whoever he is… he disses IH’s mum to his colleague but sucks up to her when she comes.
It seems there was a 3 years time jump.
So she has a diploma now?
She’s looking for a job? I’m a bit lost.
It’s a situation: he’s supposed to love In Ha, but for some reasons it can be real (maybe because he’s uncle?). So he meets girlfriends.
@WE she has been trying to become a reporter but failed for 3 years. Now she’s trying at her mum’s workplace, MSC.
Meanwhile DP is a taxi driver, after having given up his educational opportunities to In Ha. There was not enough money to educate both of them.
@WE, DP has been pretending to be the son of the old man all along so he has tried to date other people and not his ‘niece’.
He keeps his hair ugly and does not show how smart he is so that his ‘father’ will not find out that he’s not his ‘son’.
Oh the navigation bot is his ‘girlfriend’!!!!
Why does In Ah’s Dad object so strenuously to them dating?
Maybe he really thinks Dal Po is an anti-social dummy?

@IB In Ha’s dad considers DP a nobody from an unknown place, no proper credentials etc… sponging on his father while pretending to be his brother. So many lies so he won’t let IH be with DP.
When they were teens she rode his bicycle ‘trolley’ now as an adult she rides in his taxi.

In Ha’s mum is full of showmanship ie she puts on a show full of untruths.
@GB, she’s close of the character of “Night Call” an excellent movie.
It’s touching that a text from her mum makes In Ha so happy and excited. The hairdresser can’t understand why. It’s normal thing with most young adults.
In Ha likes DP’s token of good luck… a button.

Meanwhile coincidences again… DP just misses turning round to see his brother. Would they even recognise each other? But they do not see each other although they are 10 steps apart.
It is painful to see In Ah so excited and heading for disappointment in the hair salon.
Missed encounter. A kdrama classic.

@IB, yes this writer is good in creating scenes where we feel so much for the characters. I feel bad for everyone in advance.
Now we have DP and In Ha’s dad and the suspicion that they both know that DP likes IH.
WWAAAHHH, this actress !! It’s Bamby from Yumi Cells, right?? Not sure about the name, but the girl doing lot of aegyo.
It’s horrible, she’s trapped by her mother and will fail because of her. So bad family relationship, hurting a lot.
@WE What a rude awakening for In Ha, treated by her mother in that way.
But her mother is yet right: for an investigation it can be needed to lie. So In Ha could just do one thing: presenting the news on TV or stuff like that.
Oh shit, the message “good luck” even wasn’t from her mother.

In Ha finds out that DP was right, the phone number was not her mother’s.
Oh dear she had no time to miss her own daughter and tells her that!!!
The mother never thought about her daughter once. It’s like she has no daughter…

@WE that is a random young chaebol == I forget how he found the phone, but he kept it out of idle amusement and now has become interested. Kim Young Kwang!
@WE, he’s the rich guy who likes In Ha from a distance, just through the texts. He never told her that the number was not going to her mum but to him.
This drama is so close to “I hear your voice” in a different way. Dal Po doesn’t need telepathy, as he’s looking at a girl unable to lie. Just the same thing about final effect.
PSH = beautiful eyes.
Definitely, we have a “monster mother” in this drama. 😀

@WE instead of picking up the daughter he ends up giving the mother a ride. They have a GOOD talk.
I just realized — she also hiccups when she lies TO HERSELF. Convenient for the writer even if improbable.
@IB the reason for her non-stop hiccups now are that she’s saying she’s okay when she isn’t?
@IF, being unable to lie to yourself could be a great talent for improving? Or just we continue to lie to ourselves, no matters what. I bet on the last…
@WE I see what you mean about murder in the cab — Dal Po really looks at Mommy Dearest on the street with the eyes of a grown wolf. Not a puppy.
Another great coincidence… the friend of DP’s brother is going to work to demolish the factory where DP’s father died.
The men who caused the fire are having dinner right next to DP’s brother. The piece of paper with info is thrown on the floor and ends up next to DP’s brother as well. They admit to their guilt right there loudly so that DP’s brother hears it all.
3rd coincidence, DP replies to the text but it’s DP’s brother’s friend who responds to DP.
Drama characters always do crazy things you would never do: going on a roof and put fire to all your educational books.
Yet more coincidences… IH’s papers are torn and fly down to where DP is. So he knows where to find her.
Coincidence 5, her father gets to hear them talking again… again without them knowing that they were overheard.
@GB yes about the hiccups its recursive — she is lying about being hurt, blaming the hiccups. But the hiccups dont stop because she is really blaming them.
@WE I go for the latter; what a miserable life constantly hiccuping through even all of our passing and temporary ‘lies’ to ourselves.
@IB arguing with IH’s mum gives DP the impetus to become a reporter.
DP found the solution to her hiccups!

Note: the cheabol mother is the mother of FL in “I hear your voice”. You could say the writer hire her again, but anyway, you can find this old lady in half of kdramas ever produced. 🙂
The scene where Jae Myong (Hyungnim of Dal Po) and his business partner are drinking — I really even see him as a good person and hope he will find his brother — and then smack, the criminals/factory workers and boss who killed his Dad, they are at the next table? Pure chance? It is such a small country?
The place where they drink is the same sort of place where the workers would drink.
Or did Jae Myeong plan this, he knew they would be there?

Fireworks. That is why Dal Po suddenly thinks In Ha may commit suicide when he realizes she is on the roof. Because they make him think of his mom’s final moments.
It is funny that In Ah is innocent of such thoughts and does such a stupid thing as to hide from Dal Po on the roof. Or was she so innocent?
That exasperation mixed with laughter and fear that is so classic kdrama comedy. How to get the balance just right. Call PSH.
Call PSH and then dump her in a trashcan upside down in heels.
With all those fireworks she cant even get a spark from that lighter!
In this dramatic world so bereft of mothers, suddenly we have our silly chaebol with the very nicest of moms. Her son wants to meet a girl. She offers to go out and capture any girl he likes for him. Like a mother lioness.
All quiet on the western front I see.
