  1. Comment from Boradori:

as a minhoyoung shipper I hate to say this, judging from the preview..it looks like yeline is finally sailing on episode 12 😅😅.. If yeline is really the endgame.. all those boyoung and minho scenes, the flashbacks etc really are not making any sense.. the writer is so mean 😭

  2. Comment from packmule3:

Preview? What preview? For tomorrow’s preview? 😃 Just tell me what happened in today’s episode. Did Dr Ye go after Boyoung and propose to her? If he’s the end game, I’ve to go back to the drawing board and re-analyze everything to fit him. 😈😆 I’m watching The Great Seducer first, bec it’s the final week, then will watch You Who Forgot Poetry afterwards. Just please tell me when the subs are up. Thanks.

Meanwhile, chin up. Don’t leave previews get you down. Focus on the episode instead. Does she reciprocate his feelings? Are his feelings real or is he choosing to love her because she’s the “sincere” one and he needs to get over his past heartbreak? In kdramas, the hero must love the girl for who she is.
Also, any mention of MinHo’s end of internship? They have to go back soon.

    OMGG ROFL don’t ABANDON us PM3! 😂😂😂
Lol yes judging from the preview it seems that Dr. Ye is dating Bo Young on ep 12. :/
And Min Ho appears sad while Bo Young is on her way to the date, he says to himself, uli Bo Young yeppeuda.[ Our Bo Young is pretty] :((
But that’s so stupid, considering he went to an old bookshop and found out this book [ I’m guessing he was about to confess by quoting a poem from that book?] Which we’ll never get to know now. 🙁 [ I just think that’s what the youtube clip was about]

  4. Response to Nearsea:

Lol. Do you have the translation of the book that she gave him, something about being a fool?

You can’t speculate that it’s a romantic date w/o knowing context. Coworkers do go out for a drink. After butting heads with a colleague, on some work issue, I bury hard feelings and buy him/her a drink, esp when I win. Let’s see.

I watched first 20 minutes. Ye saw her poems and didn’t attempt to contact her. Minus points. Meanwhile MinHo accompanied her to the bookstore and read a book! (OMG! He read a freaking book!!😱) Plus points. But did he do something jerk-y in the hospital? I’d have to deduct points for that.

As for treatment of the patient. I don’t know. Maybe Ye has a point there and BY is being over-emotional. I’ll side with him as he should know better.

Gotta run. It sucks that I don’t understand a word thet’re saying. I have to rewatch that scene with subs.

    Edited to add this:
Oh? He went to an old bookshop? MinHo? Lol. Plus points for him.

  5. Reply from Nearsea:

Hmm. I saw that jerk-y thing he did at the hospital. 🙁 Was he trying to say that he’s dating bo young in front of Dr. Ye? Lol. I guess they ‘are’ turning him into a typical second lead. 🙁
I think I can see this where this is going. I might wait until ep 12 but like I said before, if Dr. Ye is in fact the main lead then the writing is pretty much mediocre. :S Good luck to the yeliners.
I think it was an old bookshop. But does it matter anymore? Haha.

    Edited to add this:
I don’t have the translation, sorry. Guess we will have to wait until sub is out.

    And this:
Okay people over s**mpi is guessing if Min Ho did that to genuinely help bo young or make Dr. Ye confront his feelings. I don’t know haha.

  6. Comment from Paperclip:

I am laughing so hard right now!!
The bae shaped bae with the beer bae.
But interesingly, internet searches have revealed that bae also means ‘ship’!!! Hmmm a message to the shippers maybe?

Internet searches however haven’t revealed any English names of the actors. And there is definitely no similarity in the looks wise department with this Kang Daniel. Buuuutt it did reveal that apparently Kang Daniel is also called Kang Choding. And that ‘choding’ means ‘childish’. So fitting in the context of Boyoung!

  7. Comment from Nearsea:

Oh sorry for spamming the space. An edit button would have helped haha. Okay from the translations I understand that, Min Ho was telling the nurses about them[min ho- bo young ?] going to the ocean. I don’t know why. But he again told them something when Dr. Ye exited the room.
Min Ho was looking for a book that Bo Young wanted to read.
But one thing for sure. They are dating. And probably the hospital staffs don’t know so their date gets interrupted by them midway.
I know in my head how this is going to happen. But I will keep that to myself for now haha.

    SPOILER EP11!!!

hmm… ep 11.. seems like by officially dating with dr ye. by looking at last scene and preview.
dr ye was the one who came first..

but for me, writer really trying hard to keep viewers guessing. so this is not the end, its too early to end the drama lol

  9. Packmule3’s response to Paperclip:

    Ship? Bae means ship?! Pwahahaha.

I’ll take that! “Sorry ‘ship. It ain’t you.” 😂😆😈

  10. Long time no see, chingus

Oh no, if this is true, then I might not be able to finish the series 😭
I’ve just read your comments about ep 11

They can’t break up in just 4 episodes and make her notice MH, can they?

  11. If the writer wants to, they can break after one episode and make her notice MH.

MH still has to go back to Anseong.

I have to agree with lovebangwon. They’re trying too hard with Dr. Ye.

People are talking about preview but we haven’t seen the episode yet so we’re waiting.

MinHo better not do any asshatery right now.

  12. omg so dead, my heart is so invested in MH + BY right now. At first I was a total ye liner, but too many things I can’t ignore now that makes me think that ship has
sailed (from a viewer standpoint). Also I still need to know if there was something behind his earlier thoughts of disgust towards BY in college and after.

  13. 🙂 Why are you dead?? Happy dead? or sad dead? or lamenting dead?
    Have you watched it subbed?
But tell me why you’re worried here and I’ll look into it when I get to watch it tonight.
I’m on my The Great Seducer mode right now.
Watch for my flash poll later.

  14. I just watch ep 11 raw without subtitles.. I think basically minho was trying to find an old book that boyoung looked for, and he finally found it at the end of the episode.. the book was about timing to confess your love I guess..

Then there was one boy who refused to do rehab because he lose hope.. he was once a sports player which was the same as Dr Ye.. boyoung was angry with Dr Ye for cancelling that boy’s treatment but later on realizing that he had his own reason blah blah then they both shared their sorrow, how they once forgot their dreams as well

Then yeah both minho and dr ye were racing to confess their love to boyoung at the end of the ep.. I dunno I feel like it’s really too late for boyoung to realise minho’s feeling and reciprocate it now that we only get another 4 episodes.. sighh

  15. At this point.. I just dont really care if BY really ends up with Dr Ye..as long as the writer didnt make minho looks bad just to convince us that Dr Ye and BY are the end game.. I think minho’s progression so far has been so great so I cannot bear it if they turn him as an ass again.. I just hope that if yeline is really the end game.. after 2 months of training..minho can just leave without looking back because that poor boy doesnt deserve to be just a crying shoulder for BY lol

  16. Thanks for the recap!!!

Like you, I’ve yet to watch it with subs. I just skimmed it earlier. But so far, so good. I’m still confident about MinHo ship. lol.

As long as MinHo doesn’t do anything to jeopardize his spot and sabotage his romance with BoYoung, (like KISS-ASSAULT BoYoung), I think he’s still the endgame.

  17. Yes from the preview we can see that dr ye & boyoung start dating. Btw this is spoiler i just dont get it whats the point of made these two chasing for the girl like who arrive first when obviously we can see that boyoung still can’t forget dr ye. Even if minho come first will she accept him i hate that part the most. This is so reply 1988 lol oh why i always end up in sink ship 💔 lol

  18. Packmule3 i love your confident ! Will wait for your explaination 😁

  19. What IS this preview you’re talking about? 😂
Let me watch the show first.

  20. Oh! You of little faith. 🤣

Go through the show again and watch for every little suggestion or hint of MH as endgame, any little thing that struck you as odd, any comment that you’ve read from a MH-BY shipper, any thing that you can get that MH is the one, and then bring them to me. 😂

Why are you waiting for my explanation? 😆

  21. Andddd I’ve watched it with subtitles now ( too fast I know, I have no life 😂)..

There is one line in a poem narrated by boyoung when she met Dr Ye at the end of the ep.. it says something like “a wound can only be healed alongside another wound”. This line makes me accept the reality that yeline is REALLY the endgame. I feel like the writer wanted to convey the message that Dr Ye’s wound, his hurt, his loneliness can only be healed by BY.

I can’t wait to know what’s your thought on this!

  22. Because IT is Reply 1988 all over again. But I’m telling you it’s JH 2.0’s turn now.

  23. Wait. I haven’t watched it yet.

You should have tried reverse psychology on me. 😂 Tell me that it’s MinHo so I’ll go with YeLiner. But if you tell me it’s YeLiner, I’ll go MinHo.
    😄

  24. Episode 11 start with Minho and booyoung going out to the bookstore since BY wanted to find an old book called A season of a good rain, it was an old poetry book she read long time ago but realised she didn’t owned it yet.

Next scene would be the Soccer to be player who down with ankle injuries, so the kid called GyuMin was so heartbroken thinking about his crack future. This story open up Dr Ye old memories, he also experienced the same story as he too have given up his dream as baseball player . As a result, BY once again felt so sad and sympathies with him which is lead to Dr Ye wanted to confess to her in the last scene.

But, before the last scene portrayed both MH and Dr Ye decisive moment running to BY to confess, there are plots of Dr kim and Daebang too, today episode invited Ha Seok Jin as the opposite character of Daebak which is someone who sooooooooo decisive that it leads to problems 😅😅😅 and his decision leads to his going out for dinner with dr Kim , and this brought anger to Daebang, so he confronted both of them,,leaving out Dr kim frustrated from both men who so out of character, she claimed that both of them was so intolerable, for one is undecisive and another is making harsh decisions. And this scene made me relate it to both MH and Dr Ye, Dr ye as daebang whom hesitate to confess and MH whom are advised not to run his chance by confessing a little bit to early as suggested by NAMWOON in earlier scene, he said “if you’re hesitate you’re gonna lose your chance, BY was rejected by Dr.Ye” but MH replied “I won’t confess right now, I need her to calm down and wait until I am sure she likes me back before confessing”

And I am not going to be thrown down by previews since it’s always been misleading..but part of me says that She did meet one of them that night, and i hope its MH .(cause he called her first before coming and DR Ye didn’t)

  25. Mwuah, Thanks SyeraAisya for the recap. This will save me.
I still have to watch the show.

  26. I am not going to speculate on who she is going to be dating the next episode based on those previews, because they definitely troll us week after week.
What I am left wondering about most is why haven’t we got anything about how Dr.Ye CLEARLY feels about Boyoung.
•Take when in ep9 before he went to the cafe to reject BY, he flashbacked to all the instances that Boyoung indicated that she liked Dr.Ye.
•Afterwards in ep10, at the conference when Boyoung comes up on the screen, he just stared at it.
•When he got drunk he said I declined because it’s the right thing to do, why does my heart hurt.
•He goes back home and thinks about the conversation BY has with him where she tells him she’s going to get over it and not to treat her well from now on, all the while looking at the poetry book titled “It’s okay if you don’t love me”.
    • When he looks at Minho’s profile pic he only wonders whether they went there together.
    • In ep11 he sees the poems she uses to send him every morning or when she liked a particular one, those have now stopped.
    • When he sees her laughing with Minho, he thinks back about when he rejected her by saying he couldn’t accept her heart.
    • Near abouts the end, when he spots BY sitting forlorn in the cafe, he goes to comfort her but holds back because she wished him not to treat her well.
    • Then finally at the end when he received a text from Gyumin saying he’s not going to be captive to his wounds, Dr.Ye grips the stirring wheel and gets a determined look in his eye and sets off to go see BY.

Nowhere in the above instances where we see Dr.Ye thinking about/ looking at BY, do see a feeling of love or anything romantic. They could be easily explained by how he felt guilty that he should have seen she liked him and maybe lead her on, and then had to reject her which cut her up. Even the text from Gyumin, the young patient, about how he will hold Dr.Ye to his promise on not giving up on him and that he will not let his wounds hold him captive, which spurs Dr.Ye to drive to BY, have no romantic inclination whatsoever.

Also must note how Dr.Ye parallels his mentor this episode. Both Gyumin and young Dr.Ye had to give up something they love and we’re passionate about. But just like his mentor Dr.Ye tells Gyumin he might not be able to give him what he loves to do, but will help him thrive at something else.

  27. in preview 12 it was dr ye who came first, since i saw him talking with the same clothes (pastel pink or dusty pink on that day). BUT in the last scene BY said “what do u want to says with me?” its sound like she talking with her friends, u know if its dr ye, she should give some respect by saying his name or his title.

  28. Good points!

  29. Thanks again for highlighting this:

MH replied “I won’t confess right now, I need her to calm down and wait until I am sure she likes me back before confessing”.

So MinHo confessed even though he wasn’t sure of her feelings for him. He RISKED REJECTION.

That’s a big thing in these dramas.

  30. Hello! I just wanted to say that Boyoung punching the arcade game looked an awful lot like Makino Tsukushi punching Domyoji in Hana Yori Dango aka Boys Over Flowers, a really famous Japanese drama that has a Korean adaptation. (You can find the scene on YouTube). Interestingly, Minho strongly resembles Domyoji – initially dismissive and rude towards the heroine, but eventually falls in love with her. Dr Ye resembles Hanazawa – the second lead but the heroine’s first love who is quiet and reserved. Tsukushi ultimately falls for Domyoji in Hana Yori Dango, so I’m hoping that the arcade game scene foreshadows such an ending for Boyoung and Minho.

Also, I’m really starting to notice the car scenes thanks to you, packmule3. Minho has always, always picked up Boyoung while passing her, be it at a bus stop or elsewhere. So it’s interesting that Dr Ye passed by her and only gazed at her in the mirror (even though he drives back). Seems like a bit of foreshadowing. If we’re going to talk about good timing, then I’d say Minho is winning in that aspect.

  31. Exactly! The bus scene!

Thanks for bringing this up. I didn’t want to edit my post because anymore bec you all have read it already.

I thought it was weird that Dr Ye left her to take the bus AT NIGHT. Had that been MinHo, he would have driven her home (even to Anseong, lol) … because as you said, MinHo always gives her a ride.

So for me then something happened in the interval. Between the cafe and the bus stop, they must have walked together like that night stroll he once invited her to, and he proposed. 😂

But even if he is the boyfriend now, I think it’ll be a short-lived romance. They simply do NOT match, in temperament and in inclination. If he really likes poetry, how come it’s been so easy for him to disregard it?

He only briefly glances at them, they don’t impact his life. That time when BoYoung drunk-texted him poems, he was too busy to respond. Then in this episode, he was reading his medical journal, then just chanced to see the poems. Sure, he doesn’t hate poetry, like MinHo, but he’s not takenby poetry either.

Btw, that’s the second foreshadowing. Remember when MinHo was drunk and he drove the couple back to their dorms? He also looked at them receding in the mirror. He’s always looking back and moving forward by himself.

And thanks for sharing that Japanese drama. I’ve heard about it. I’ve only watched a few jdrama. Rich man, poor woman, Tatta Hitotsu no Koi and the Japanese drama from which “Because This Is My First Life” was adapted.
I find the lighting used in Jdrama a bit dark and grainy, but it adds to the melancholy of the shows. Kdramas are more brightly-lit.
