Poem a Day: MinHo Arrived First

The story of MinHo’s life in four words: Foiled by a motorcycle.

Lol. I was going to individually respond but this is easier.

MinHo got there first. Why?

Because he was the one who asked Boyoung where she was. 😂 He called her up and TALKED to her, “Cry Baby Wooyoung, where are you? I have something to say… no… I have to say it now.”

Boyoung must have given him her location and it wasn’t the same location as where Dr Ye saw her last.

Check it out. I’ll post the screenshot but it’s faster for you to just replay.

When Dr Ye left her, she was sitting in a bus stop with wooden slats behind her. There was a nondescript building behind and stairs (like stairs going to the metro). It looked like she was near an above-ground train station.

When she stood up to meet MinHo (ha!) she was in a different location entirely, with a long bench. It looked like a bus terminal because there were more lighted signs behind her.

Dr Ye wouldn’t have known where she was because he didn’t ask. According to my subs, he only said, “Dr Woo, let’s meet. I’ve something to say.”

😂😂

That also explained why MinHo had to run blocks just to get to her. (Like Taec.) She was across town or something.

Also, the order of events doesn’t make sense to me.

Dr Ye turned around to go back to her upon hearing the words “I wouldn’t let my wounds hold me captive anymore.”

Upon reaching Boyoung, that should naturally have been the first thing he told her or PROMISED her… that he would be willing to share his burdens with her, blah blah, he wouldn’t hide his pain (ex., kept his baseball injury. SHE had to learn about his injury from another the patient.)

However, in that brief preview, we saw him confess two things on two separate occasions.

One, that he was “shameless” and he wouldn’t let his wounds hold him captive anymore.

And two, that he couldn’t let her go and could he please have another chance.

Did you notice that he mentioned the “wounds” on another evening, NOT on the night he made that u-turn. To me that doesn’t make sense. That thought of “wounds” should have been the first words out of his mouth to explain his actions of that day, why he kept silent when she gave him at least two opportunities to tell him what was going on.

I suspect that after their cafe encounter, he and Boyoung took a walk to get to the parking lot where his car was. (Remember in another episode, they walked to his car because she liked walking?) He then proposed to her by asking for another chance.

But he was denied because he hid his pain from her. If you listen to that cafe talk, it was only BoYoung who opened up. He explained nothing. As a matter of fact, he said only two things to her the entire time: “you have something to say to me.” And “it’s okay.”

BTW, to me that whole misunderstanding could have been avoided had HE TOLD her what his intentions and plans were to cure the child AND opened up to her about his own sports injury.

Boyoung must have rejected him saying something like wounds could only be cured alongside another wound but he was determined to hide his pain and carry it alone.

Only when he got to car and listened to the message did he get understand his shortcoming and that was why he turned around. But when he got there to the bus stop where he saw her last, she was gone.

So that, my friends, is why I think MinHo got there first.

Besides Minho is a SULKY boy. Had he gotten there last, seen the two of them together or been rejected, he would have throw a hissy fit or an embarrassing tantrum. He wouldn’t be thinking of treating her out to buffet. Lol.

Anyway, we’ll know in a little while.

  1. But but, what about the date PM3, from the preview it seems like they went for a date. And then they take a picture with the other doctors they met.
I am confused though why min ho is giggling while talking over the phone. Poor puppy probably has no idea that bo young has started dating, and he wants to confess to her grand style.
If they are milking on the shipping war I would be really pissed.
I agree with others that Dr.Ye still doesn’t have as much character development as min ho. Although that is a no-no when min ho was trying to make Dr. Ye jealous while talking to the nurse about them going to the beach. He didn’t correct them that they are not dating. What was that about lol. Anyway baby steps for min ho.

  2. 🤣 Oh I give up. 😂 I should be sleeping instead of thinking about stinking previews. Just wait a few more hours nearsea and will have the answer. Don’t make think anymore.
    💤💤💤
Btw, I want you to know that I’ve acquired a new wrinkle from frowning over this preview alone.😂

Let her date whoever she wants to date.

He’s giggling because he’s talking to his mom again. That mama’s boy.

But you know what, when she was talking about being a poet and MH encouraged her to write, I thought “Heeyyyy. That’s something she can do.” Why is she worrying about lost opportunity? It’s not as if she can’t write poetry now that she’s already working?

  3. Btw, I want you to know that I’ve acquired a new wrinkle from frowning over this preview alone.😂
    😂😂😂😂
Don’t hahaha. Don’t ruin your precious sleep over this. 😀
Yes I can wait. You’re right he’s actually encouraging her to be more productive instead of sulking over Dr. Ye, but what can we do haha. Girl wants to giggle stupidly over what a privilege it is that she is finally dating Dr. Ye. At least that’s what it looked like to me. And that’s a problem the show is not trying to acknowledge. :/

  4. I’m going to ban previews for next week show. I can’t afford to have another wrinkle from drama PREVIEWS, for heavens sake.
    😈
I’ve to order more Night Rejuvenating Cream, too. At the rate I’m going, I’ll run out in two weeks time.

  5. Yesterday i looked up for the preview and was sure that Ye won.

BUT. I have just finished watching ep 11 with Dramafever subs and they had extended preview with MH giggling & planning buffet which made me look like this O.o

I think it’s enough with trolling as things start to get too cruel lol

What I don’t understnad is what is the point in making such meaningful scenes as MH&BY visiting a bookstore together, talking about her dreams if it only comes to Ye being a soulmate because of his same(?) experienece in giving dreams up. And I still feel no chemistry even though it is indeed subjectif when it comes to chemistry

    SIGH

  6. If I sigh one more time this morning, I’m going to get asthma. 😒

See that? What the heck? Why is he planning a buffet? Is it for his mom?
I don’t understand why he’s planning a buffet for BoYoung if he got to BoYoung too late and Dr Ye was already there?

Like is he a FOOL, just as the poem said? For running after her and risking it?

    Okay….I’ll go with that, show.

  7. Indeed. If Ye is the endgame then so many things just don’t make sense to me.

Take episode 6 for example, it was so iconic in terms of MH’s character growth & showing character’s depth=introducing to us his family, flashbacks of his life with them.

Moreover, I don’t get why they finally make him fall in love with poetry if he is supposed to not to be BY’s soulmate

Well, i guess we will find out for sure in 30 minutes on soompi lol

Anyway, I am glad I got enjoy this show while I could with all discussions with MH shippers under you amazing posts

  8. 😍 I’m glad you’re here too for the discussions. You all contributed.

But it’s too early to give up hope now. It’s only the 12th episode. We still have 4 more.

In The Great Seducer, the perfidy of the second male lead didn’t come out till the END of the 15th episode. Of course, fan girls were shocked but I was waiting for it to happen since Week 3. 🤣 I was getting antsy though because he was such a crowd pleaser. But nope, the signs were there that he’d show his true color: black.

So don’t give up hope yet. Next week. We can close the door on this.
