Poem a Day: Reply to Kim_ummul

i hope someday our Min Ho’s “good rain” will come over. definitely will check this movie.

*************

I think his good rain will come when it’s the “right time,” and so will ours. This period is like the drought season or the dry spell for the MinHo-BoYoung shippers but hang in there till the end. 😈

I checked Episodes 11 and 12, to see if there was something MinHo did wrong, or there was something that would indicate that the writer wanted to write him off the script, but nope. There was nothing.

In fact, there’s a conscious effort to make MinHo look PATHETIC. To wit:

1) he lost the “race” because Ye moved the finish line to his advantage (in other words, Ye #cheated), 2) the motorcycle accident wasn’t his fault, 3) his friend NamWon gave him false hope, 4) he received DefCon’s “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” when he called him a kind guy.

5) MinHo still has the book with him, and 6) like the good rain, he knows how to bide his time.

He doesn’t NEED Boyoung to heal “his wounds.” Grrrr… wounded men are an absolute bore in dramas.

And unlike Ye, he isn’t pressured to take care of his dating life because it’s “ABOUT time.” MinHo is willing to be patient.

Ye’s colleague: But isn’t it about time you take care of your personal life too? When will you start dating again? Forget your painful past and find your soulmate who likes you sincerely, and whom you can sincerely like as well. Is there anyone like that in your life? When will you start dating again? Is there anyone like that in your life? … What’s this? Seeing how you’re not saying no, there must be someone. If you find someone like that, hold onto the without hesitation.

I think this is where the writer and I diverge in our concept of love. If the endgame is indeed BoYoung and Ye, then the writer is telling me that sincerity is the number one qualification on the wish list for True Love. ❤️

“Someone who likes you sincerely, and someone you can like sincerely.”

It dawned on him that BoYoung fitted this qualification because of what she had told him, “I sincerely love you.”

But what he did NOT know and what the YeLiners have glossed over is that BoYoung was ecstatic that day because of her finally becoming a full-time employee. Her state of mind at that time would be indicated by the following odd behavior:

  • She was skipping like a kid to go to her PT session.
  • She thought that the disinfectant odor of the hospital smelled like Spring.
  • She wanted to walk from the 10th floor to the 3rd floor.
  • She was skipping dangerously down the stairs like a kid.

She tripped BECAUSE she was too-hyper like a kid. It was MinHo who saved her from falling.

That was her state of mind when she said she was in love with Ye. She was kidding around because she was happy about the full-time job.

MH: Be careful.
BY: I almost died.
MH: Are you that happy?
BY: What do you mean? Look at you going down the stairs in uncontrollable excitement. Are you that happy about becoming full-time?
NW: Then would she hate it? Her pay will go up and she’ll have a stable job. I’d cry if I were her.
BY: Plus, if I become a full-time employee, I can stay here which means I can stay with Dr. Ye. (she was eyeing MH as she said this. To me, she was looking for a response from him because that morning he finally apologized admitted that he was wrong and that Dr. Ye could return her affection.)
NW: What? Wow, you’re not even trying to hide it anymore. Do you like Dr Ye that much?
BY: At this point, it’s more like love. ~~ My love for Doctor Ye is has no limits.~~ (She was joking around when she said this.)

Then, over lunch, she told NW and MH that she declared her feelings to Ye.

BY: I didn’t mean to, but it turned out that way. I didn’t want to give him some sorry excuse. (Why not? Is she trying not to look pathetic again? Did she WANT TO LOOK GOOD in his eyes again.) To be honest, I’ve been wondering if Dr. Ye has feelings for me, too. He’s especially good to me.

So, where’s the sincerity there? 😂🙄🤦‍♀️She declared her feelings because she was hoping that HE would declare his feelings, too. It’s a tit-for-tat confession.

Sincerity- schmerity. 🙄

To me, that’s the limitation of the concept of a SINCERE love, ACCORDING TO THIS WRITER. It’s only about being honest with oneself, and admitting to love somebody.

Also, to me, this Sincere Love explains BY’s awkward, “Thank you” after he confessed his feelings in Episode 12. She was grateful that he opened up and admitted that he liked her. Plus she was also grateful that somebody like HIM (i.e., great) could like and need someone like her (i.e., lowly).  It’s like she was saying “thank you” to Oh! Ye, the almighty hospital god, bestowing his attention and company on a poor soul like her.😂

That’s why I find this love relationship of Ye and BoYoung extremely…

shallow.

This, however, is MY concept of love:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Note that?

There was no mention of “sincerity.”  😱🤣😱

And that’s because when you act with these: patience, kindness, humility, honor, etc. then you are showing SINCERE LOVE.

Too bad, so sad that BoYoung still has her head up in poetry, not to realize this reality.

  1. I’m sure in real life Dr Ye + BoYoung could make a decent couple as not everyone’s relationship is grand BUUUT this average thing is not what I expect from kdramas 😐

  2. 😍😍😍😍

  3. My theory is, JW ex lover has something secret about the affair. That is why she always want to talk to JW, maybe it’s like Kim Soeongsangnim situation with her ex husband. She leave him for good.
And when JW finally find out the truth, he’ll regret his decision and Going back to her ex, leaving BY and MH in the rain. 😂

*SorryMyEnglishIsNotReallyGood but i hope you’ll understand what i mean 😅

Thankyou for this post. It’s Really Made my day 😘

  4. 😈🤣😈🤣

  5. But this post is NOT meant to predict a MinHo-Boyoung endgame, okay?

I was only saying that the writer and I have different views on what constitute real love. ❤️ With YeLiner, she’s offering a love that is sincere and a love that is healing.

However, I don’t WANT that kind of love. It’s THIN love. I want a THICK love like in that Corinthian 13 verse. Why would I settle for thin love when there’s true love, a love that is patient and kind, right there beside BoYoung?

As for Ye’s ex lover, I know that the YeLiners are most scared of her. They think she’s the biggest threat to their ship. But I don’t know…

To me, the biggest threat to their relationship is Ye himself. It’s his “professionalism.” What if an opportunity presented itself to work his sling theory at a more prestigious place. Or a better institution with more funding to hire more capable staff whom he can develop into a “sling” ward or something. Or what if he and Boyoung have a clash on treatment of patients? 🙄

  6. I never know this drama going to affect me so much 🤣 There are still four episodes left and I just hope that if minho and boyoung are not endgame then at least give minho some decent ending not the one where he looks pathetic and fool just like in the recent episode.

  7. 😂 The dramas that I spend time to appreciate and bitch about, always end up exhausting me, so I know what you mean.

Tell the MinHo shippers to stick around here if they want more bitchery. lol.
