😂 Have you watched Ep 14 yet? I’ve no time tonight. Did he regain all of his memory already or is he still struggling with it? Oh lord! I hope this stupid writer doesn’t give us one of those open-ended kdramas. 👿💩🤮 I honestly think he/she’s in love with this ugly moonbat actor playing JeYoon bec why is HE still getting lots of minutes? By now, they should be wrapping up this amnesia of LY instead of assigning more errands for JY to do.
Plus, I’m getting tired of the same old shit. How many times have we been trolled that LY would get his memory back?
He regains partial memory…just of his romance with YS/HS…enough for him to say to Dimples (I love this exchange) – just to get things straight, I saw her first. Touché. (And Dimples reply was as good as “whatever, I know I’m beat”). Then he carries on after having dealt the blow to Dimples…Now where were we again…O yes…palace matters…You go LY!! 👍
And…spoiler alert….MY guesses that baby is not legitimate..CPrincess tells MY “Do not worry. This baby is not your baby” 🙄 – that’s what my subs say. But I think the better translation would be, “Not your problem. Baby isn’t yours anyway”. First translation seems to imply that they bedded so he could potentially have been a candidate which goes against my “MY is an honourable man” presumption…so I think second translation sits better with him being honourable.
And detractors still say that she is lying to protect him and that the Dandelions, red bracelet prove that he is the baby’s daddy…Err no, she is manipulating him because she knows that as an honourable man, he will not be able to leave her knowing that the child is illegitimate and she is now in danger of death. An honourable man will not do that.
Reason I say this is because Minister Kim has this to say of her, “you have the same blood running through your veins” – she is as cold blooded and manipulative as he is. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Both children resemble their parents – MY his honorable dad and CPrincess her despicable Father. Guess it remains to be seen if the writer is consistent or will treat us like fools by making MY the daddy after all the conjecture – sending us on a wild goose chase just for the fun of it 🙄
So my bet is now on Seowon as baby’s daddy (maybe he does covet his brother’s Wife) – only because Jung has had too little air time to be in contention. 🙄
As for those pics of D.O. That’s coz EXO is making a comeback in Nov. They are releasing a new album complete with all of them decked out in bikie attire…it’s just that they released D.O.’s segments first. He’s riding the popularity wave (and the motorbike) right now with 100DMP so they will milk it for all they can. He just won most Popular Actor in Seoul awards (for movie segment). I have a feeling he will win awards for his acting in 100DMP. I am definitely watching his movie Swing Kids in Dec.
PS That avoiding kiss scene just highlighted for me DKS’s dry wit. In the scene with the grinding mill (when it misbehaved) he said the exact same line, “won’t you stay still?” Then when the kiss came about and the director told NJH not to back away from his kiss, he repeated the same line to her, “won’t you stay still?” I think that got everyone in stitches…I know the Translators then put him as saying “sorry” and bowing to the production staff for doing that but I would prefer to think he’s taking a bow for being clever and bowing to his audience for their applause. 😂

I like ep 14 a lot more than ep 13, though, burdened as it was with the weird Ming envoys subplot. I have no idea what to make of that! It seems riddled with plot holes to me (like how did JeYoon recognize those thugs he only met *once* at the river?). Moreover, I didn’t really care about any of it lol, I just wanted Wonshim angst/reunion. But ep 14 has it all! More action, cute Wonshim moments, JeYoon finally being useful, and a lot of Yul being smart. *_*

I agree goyangi…that bit about his uncanny ability to recognise those thugs straight off the bat (err what happened to his inability to recognise faces?). And the fact that a lot of the other stuff was by the by through investigation (reading his journals). Pink hair tie was the trigger to remember stuff about YS and the massacre.
She does seem to hear him shout out that he is the Prince in the end though as she was running away with her Brother – or that was what it seemed like? So HS does know that “Dumbo” is really the CP…so it doesn’t exactly make sense that it didn’t click to her when WD returned to being CP, she didn’t make that link herself first when she had all that information? And instead poor LY had to make all those connections on his own given his amnesia. 🙄
Ming envoy sub plot was weird. Only plus is that Ming envoy warns LY to be wary of Minister Kim and the desire for Kim to start a war?? What?? Could that be what LY was riding off to battle for ala Ep 1? Plausible.
Also there seems to be some confusion as to whether this really has just 15Eps as earlier touted. None of the previews for Ep15 say “finale”. And next new drama doesn’t start till week after ie 4Nov? So what will they have on tvN Tue night instead? Maybe it does have 16 episodes after all and it finishes on Tue. This is as contentious a topic as the paternity for CPrincess’ baby. 😆
Woohoo! I love your theory on MooYoon! I haven’t watched Ep 13 (middle part) and Ep 14, so I’m behind. Will try to catch up today.
How many more shows do we have left? One or two?
What? She told MooYoung “This baby isn’t your baby”? Whoa!! How many other men did she sleep with beside MY? 🤪 Does SHE know who the baby’s father is? That’s the bigger question. lol. She could have slept with all three of them (Jung, Seowon and MY), so for her the father really did NOT matter.
I would be very impressed with the writer if he/she could still twist this story and make Jung the Dad. But it would be tough sell because we never got to see any link and interaction between the CP and Jung.
Like you said, SeoWon is more of a possibility — although it’s still yucky that she raped a 15-year-old boy. I know the setting is Joseon era but I’ve 20th-century sensibilities. Below 18, consent cannot be given. CPrincess seduced a minor. Had the situation been reversed and CPrincess been a MALE character, the writer wouldn’t allow him to impregnate a 15-year-old child.
But what’s the writer’s point in prolonging the mystery? If he/she drags this subplot, I’m afraid that we’ll have less time for our couple.
Ahhh! So KyungSoo has a Nov comeback with his band. It’s a good thing this kdrama was pre-produced then. He wouldn’t be able to film this and practice the moves for their dance. Cool!
He’d better win an acting award for 100DMP. (Anybody but that “Mr Sunshine” creepy actor, lol) He acquitted himself extremely well in his first lead kdrama.
👍 I won’t be watching Swing Kids, not unless it’s bootlegged on the Internet somewhere. My girlfriends and I watched Crazy Rich Asians a few weeks ago. I realized that that was the first Asian movie I’ve seen on big screen, lol, after Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. 😱

As for Kyungsoo bowing because he was getting the applause, I agree with your interpretation. It would be more in line with “Witty KyungSoo.” I didn’t get why he had to apologize in the first place.
The actress Nam Jihyun did look cute as she was moving to meet his kiss. She reminded me of our old cocker spaniel when we gave her treats. She’d wait expectantly for the treat but she wouldn’t jump around like a frisky greedy dog would. Only her nose would daintily follow the doggy snack in our hand.

Weird! So JY was attacked by the river thugs again and he remembered their faces? Lol. I thought he was weird too when he recognized the prince (from behind, mind you!) in the dark street in Ep 13. 😂 Whatever. The writer and director really didn’t think through this prosopagnosia angle very well.
Me too! I want more HongShim-WonDeuk couple moments to balance the palace plot. I don’t have confidence in this writer’s skill to pace his/her ending well.
Will continue watching Ep 13 and get started on Ep 14 soon.

I know…that part didn’t make sense. They showed another extended flashback of the massacre scene in Ep14…adding that bit…as YS and her Brother were running away, they look back and LY yells out “I am LY. Prince (something)” to the soldiers and Minister Kim to stop them (I will have to look at subs again to get it correct) and he nods at her as if to say Run away! I will stall them. So unless she didn’t hear him yelling it out? Because if she did, she should know that Dumbo is CP LY and therefore WD?? She may have forgotten about the hair tie but surely something as traumatic as that no?? Unless she has PTSD or something 😂…hey we’ve had amnesia, prosopagnosia so why not throw in a bit of old fashioned PTSD?
Also I may have been mistaken about the whole interchange with CPrincess and her dad. His statement of “we share the same blood” could just be a “we are related so you should be on my side” type statement – I just rewatched segments. I find CPrincess’ character confusing. Maybe coz she’s female…haha…we aren’t as consistent as men. Much harder to read. 😂

Grrrr…. I told you I’d be “supremely annoyed with the writer if she/he gives us a flashback of HongShim discovering the young boy had grown up to be the Crown Prince midway through the show. (facepalm) But this writer did even worse, he just pulled the rabbit out of the hat in the FINAL EPISODES. Ugh.
So she knew who Crown Prince Lee Yul was if they exchanged that one last look before she fled. I was wondering how come she wasn’t “more” devastated to find out that WonDeuk was the son-in-law of her father’s murderer when her brother told her the truth. She was grieving for their lost love instead on dwelling on WonDeuk’s “bad” blood. It’s because she already knew that Lee Yul tried to save and protect her when they were kids. If he had stopped Minister Kim from going after them, and he signaled her to “Run away. I will stall them” as you said, then she wouldn’t blame him for anything that his father and his father-in-law did to them afterwards. She knew HE tried to save them.
And that would explain why in Episode 1, when she was being told to get married because the Crown Prince ordered it, she told the village official that the Crown Prince was stupid. Because she KNEW that he was Lee Yul all along.
But that wouldn’t explain why she allowed LY to go through all that suffering as the amnesiac WonDeuk. hahahaha. I don’t want to believe that she could be THAT duplicitous. She even made him go to the other village so he’d find out that he wasn’t WonDeuk. For that matter, why didn’t she bring him straight to the palace in Hanyang, so he’d find out that he was the Prince?? lol.

It’s a good thing this is wrapping up in one or two episodes. And that to me is weird, too. Couldn’t they make up their minds? Don’t they know if they have one or two more episodes? This was pre-produced for pete’s sake. Don’t tell me they’re going to leave the ending up to the viewers??!! hahaha.

I think it makes more sense to think she knew the kid she called “fool” was CP. But she did not remember his face. He remembered everything of her but she forgot details about them. His face for sure.
That would explain the stumble. Does not explain the run. Doesn’t really explain why she looked surprised at the end of episode 12 when he told her he’s “Fool”.
One could say she was more surprised to see him remember her but it doesn’t explain her telling her father after that the CP is the dumb kid she told him about. Like it was a new piece of information.
The only way this makes a bit more sense if .. if she knew the CP was the kid. But that knowledge didn’t click enough when she found out WonDeuk was the CP because.. I don’t know.. the human mind can be weird.
I feel like I’m trying to find logic in bad writing here :))) What’s the point in showing that extended flashback in which she hears him saying his exact name and the name of his father? If not to say she knew he was the CP?
Moving on, I am convinced MY is the father of the baby. When the CPrincess tells him in the field it’s not his baby she means to lie to him that it’s the CP’s baby. I’m sure she’s not saying she’s sleeping around with half a dozen men.
And there’s also a scene where Minister Kim tells MY to find the real father of CPrincess’s baby and kill him and MY has a reaction which I can only read as “oh, so I am the father”. There’s more conversation after that makes it clearer he is the father
As for CP not having all his memory back, yes we were trolled many times with this but it’s quite nice that the only things he manages to remember are the things he cared about + traumas. He first remembers the surprise attack meant to have him killed. He remembers archery because he loved that. He remembers her & minister Kim killing her father. He’s been living like a zombie otherwise. What else is there left to remember? Why remember the CPrincess’s pregnancy when he didn’t care at all about her?

Yes, we can all agree this script IS badly written. I’m only staying because I like how WonDeuk/Lee Yul changed for the better and how HongShim was a good influence. I’m ignoring the nonessential subplots, the unrealistic developments and glaring plotholes.
MY would be the easiest answer and cleanest answer to the Baby Mystery AT THIS POINT. I want him to take the CPrincess and the baby (whether it’s his or not) and just “exeunt stage left.” 😂 The longer this whole mystery has been dragged out for far too long, it’s becoming downright insulting that the writer’s still trolling the viewers. I don’t care who it is anymore, I just want to deal with the FALL-OUT after the truth is discovered that the Kim family attempted to usurp the Crown by installing a fake heir.
See? We wasted 14/15th of the kdrama going around and around this baby mystery. In contrast, the remaining 1/15th is for the resolution and punishment of the guilty people. That isn’t good writing. It’s inept time and plot management.
I wanted to see heads roll 😂 but I know there’s not enough time for that and more couple scenes of HongShim and WonDeuk if we only have one more episode left.
Plus, the writer just had to add this whole Ming episode with the boy/girl + lover subplot!! 🤦♀️ Like, come on! Do we really need more extraneous subplots? Just tie the loose ends, please.
Still watching Ep 13. Hopefully will finish in an hour. My fault though, I keep on fast forwarding then going back bec I missed some parts. (Like the gold bars, lol. MY is rich!!)
Re: baby’s Father. I know. I agree that the simplest solution to wrap everything up would be MY. But I am supremely annoyed that the writer sent us on this wild goose chase just to give that to us? I don’t like being treated like a fool because he is the obvious choice with all the breadcrumbs… 🙄 So I guess I am holding out till fat lady finally sings out of principle and pure stubbornness on my part. I think I am the last woman standing in the other forum doubting that MY is the baby’s Father. I guess we just have to wait another week to finally find out. I am steeling myself for the disappointment and frustration if it proves true and writer has been trolling us all along. 😡
BTW, thanks for fan service. She who shall not be named (from other forum) thinks NJH is the one to win acting awards and the one who carried DKS through this drama. I beg to differ. Yes she has the experience but no I think DKS wins hands down in portrayal of WD/LY. He needed no ‘carrying’. He was more than her equal. His diction and delivery of lines trumps her. He knows exactly where to put pregnant pauses and adds subtle facial expressions to breathe life into the script. I find her delivery of lines (not just in this drama but in others as well) lacking. Her voice is very staccato like, a tad harsh, clipped and it doesn’t flow well. I find her very hard to listen to. Personal opinion of course.
Hey, I want ANYBODY but MooYoon, remember? But at this point, I’m willing to throw even him under the bus just to get the story going. I’m not convinced that HE’s the guy but for the sake of the narrative, I’m settling for him (read my post on Episode 13).
The writer was giving me such a headache with all the trolling and indecision and the push-pull that I’ve decided that it wasn’t worth the precious little braincells I’ve got left worrying about who the baby daddy would be. Whoever the daddy was going to be, he wouldn’t be credible anyway.
MooYoon was such an easy pick but why didn’t Minister Kim, who could SNIFF out all these shenanigans like bloodhound, see him as the daddy, right away? And according to Oli, Minister Kim even tasked his to kill the “baby’s daddy”? But that doesn’t make sense to me. Why was Minister Kim in denial that MooYoon was the dad? Why wouldn’t he EVEN consider that MooYoon was the dad?
Also, as of Episode 13, their interaction could be argued both ways. MY hid from the CPrincess and Lee Yul because he didn’t want to be seen associating with either the CPrincess or LY. The CPrincess however was the one who acted guilty because she thought she had to prevent LY from meeting MY, the assassin. She didn’t know that the two had met before. Same with their conversation. Maybe MY didn’t want to confirm the pregnancy because it wasn’t his. It was kinda odd of him to start asking HER about the baby’s father now. Why the sudden change of heart? Why didn’t he ask her before he left IF he was the baby’s father?? If he was having sex with her, wouldn’t it normal of him to ask if he was the baby’s daddy? lol. He congratulated her BUT the thought didn’t even enter his head that HE could be the daddy?? Huh? I think he’s been knocked on the head once too many.
As for the letter with the dandelion, if she had been stitching dandelions on her appliques, then that letter could have been for MY or for somebody else. The dandelion was SPECIFIC to her. not to MooYoon. Do you get what I mean? The dandelion was her “signature” so all her letters would have dandelions on them. The dandelion didn’t mean MooYoon in particular, but if MooYoon or anybody else received that letter, they would know who the letter was from. lol.
Anyway, Just call it “boycott.” I’m boycotting this writer’s trolling on the baby’s daddy.

Also there will be another kiss…which required radical navigation on DKS’s part (that was my first thought – I know, I am strange), he manages with aplomb. You will know what I mean when you see it. 😍

He’s not in denial at all. I’m sure Minister Kim knows and is just being vague because the plan is not to kill the dad (not yet) but to get the two (MY +CPrincess) on guard. And use the fact that he can kill the father as a threat for the CPrincess. He’s not saying “I know you’re the father” but “find and kill the father” because he’s toying with them but he knows.
You’ll see in episode 14. I think the episode makes it pretty clear MY is the father even if for some reason it does not say it with ALL the words. Not sure why. To leave people even more frustrated at the end when it’s 100% clear it is him?

I fast-forwarded through the father-daughter scenes earlier because I didn’t want to analyze it, and I wanted to know what the fuss about the riddle is all about.
I think by now, everybody except for the renegade ones like nrllee and me are convinced that MY is the father. hahaha. What can I say? We’re Doubting Thomases.
