100 Days My Prince: Ep 15 Spoilers Here

I’m away today but please put your spoilers here. And the rantings and ravings.

I thought this scene was great.

I must give the cinematographer credit. No matter how frustrated I was with the writer of this kdrama, I’ve always been impressed with the cinematographer’s choice of scenes, lighting, angles and colors.

This picture, for instance, captures the dramatic intention of the narrative. It adds context to the LeeYul’s chance meeting with the CPrincess.

They’re both standing in front a gateway and a door behind them is at the fulcrum of the picture. It brings to mind what LY had to go through to find the “secret” — he had to go through doors (lol) when all along the “secret” was out in the open. In plain sight, the crown princess walked with the usurper of the throne.

  1. Gah…writer went with the obvious regarding baby’s daddy. All is revealed to HS, she collapses…and steel yourself for this…a tender moment with Dimples (ewww…). LY finds out MY is her Brother, he decides to pardon CPss/MY – sends the lovers away but KCE intercepts them, MY dies, brings CPss back to palace and HS as well who gets captured by KCE after she rushes to the bloody aftermath to see her dead brother.

War is started (maybe via the King’s blank check). Don’t ask me how an envoy wields enough clout to get that going? It wasn’t explained well – maybe next Ep. The rock in the box? Iron ore apparently? What? Here’s KCE’s logic

War = increased demand for weapons = increased demand for iron ore (villagers asked to chop firewood to for smelting?) = profit for those who own the mines (apparently KCE and minions own them?). I am SO NOT happy with this development. 🙄

Conveniently, it also allows KCE (armed with his veiled threat “I have YS in my hands”) to send LY to his death?

Nothing re Queen or Seowon… They may not be dealt with at all… Or hurriedly wrapped up next Ep? Maybe Seowon is illegitimate (KCE’s little tidbit regarding the fortunes of the Queen saying she’d be barren)? There’s a lot of sleeping around happening in the Palace for a place where every conjugal night is recorded meticulously and planned to a tee? 🙄

What of the baby now? Nice to think that aunt YS will raise it for her brother’s sake – fine if she were a peasant or even of nobility but as a Queen? That’s a bit of a stretch? In royalty where lineage is everything? Maybe the better option would be for GD/KN to foster the child?

In amongst this there are sweet moments with LY/YS – glorious banter like good old times, intimate inside jokes only the 2 of them would understand – true love as comfortable as a well worn pair of jeans. 😍 Highlights for me amid the dour atmosphere of a reckoning to come.

So many questions. I have watched this last episode not thinking too hard. After the let down of the baby’s daddy, I am just going to go with the flow and leave my brains at the door to get me to the end.

  2. It was good. Action packed. My brain feels too fried to process it, but I think Crown Princess is one of my favorite characters? I really felt for her in this ep. XD

  3. She’s gorgeous in that classically beautiful way…No wonder all the men fall for her. Her acting was pretty good for a rookie. I hope to see more of her in future dramas.

  4. When I said men in above comment I meant Seowon and MY.

Confession time : I teared up when LY recollected time with his friend the bodyguard who died in his place. I didn’t cry at all with MY’s demise.

I guess big question tonight is if KCE will die and if so by whose sword?

  5. The actress playing the CPrincess? Yes, she is pretty especially when compared to actress playing HongShim.

That’s why I thought HongShim looked very peasant. Tie a square scarf around her round face and she would look like one of those wooden Russian Matryoshka dolls. hahaha. (I’m a meanieeeee!!!)

  6. Is she dead? I don’t think they’d kill her character because of the baby. As I said before, the baby is innocent. Although this kdrama is broadcast on cable, it wouldn’t go down well if the writer were to kill off the CPrincess when she was carrying a baby. My guesses would be: exile, anonymity, or asylum in China.

  7. MooYoon’s the dad? Oh well. He did deserve to die then in the end. Deadbeat dad-to-be. I tried to salvage his character by giving him more honor and integrity than he deserved, but in the end, he was nothing more than an assassin. He couldn’t even take responsibility for his sexual dalliance. He got the girl pregnant and he was just going to leave her to deal with it. What an a-hole.

This was why, toward the end, when it became too late to establish Minister Jung as father, I wanted Prince Seowon as the father (even if his age would make it a creepy). At least, he CARED enough to worry about the CPrincess’ and baby’s health.

  8. Nah CPss and her doofus of a brother exiled. MY dies. Happy ever after for LY/YS – I liked the ending…lots decried the lack of happang or a royal wedding but I really liked the end. Chaste kiss and a proposal amid a confetti of paper (?) cherry blossom petals. Brilliant. You will love it too. Although lead up to it was strange…and weird…I will put more thoughts in Ep 16 post.

Seowon makes an appearance in the end…he visits her in her place of exile (court lady exiled with her) and brings something so I think it is implied that he cares for her and the child after? So he gets his wish too? To be with her?
