Fluttering Alert: On Chun Jung Myung’s Dream Disaster

Did you notice my recurring theme here? lol I keep on finding these excerpts from the same Knowing Brothers episode. I wish I knew what episode this was on so I could watch the whole show.

He tells unexpected stories of the ordinary things and he delivers them with a smiling face. Right away, you feel like smiling with him. Listen to this one:

Parts of it:

“When I was an assistant instructor in army, I used to wak up soldiers so many times. And before the wake up trumpet rings out, you tell them with your own voice, ‘Everyone, wake UP!”

“My parents heard me. When I came back home to take a rest. They must have been surprised so much! It was my first break after a long period of military service. And my parents were sleeping right next to me. Omoni (gesturing to his right side). Aboji (gesturing to his left side).”

“At the first time, I yelled out, ‘Throw the bomb!’ before ‘Everyone wake up!’ I said, ‘Get rid of the safety pin, throw the bomb out.’ so naturally in my sleep. My dad first heard it and thought I’m talking in my sleep. But I yelled right after that, saying ‘Everyone, wake up!’ So my my dad was forcefully awakened because of me. Really. So yeah, I’m very sorry to my dad.”

My first reaction: I was surprised that a grown man would sleep IN BETWEEN his mom and dad.

My second reaction: The image of his dad BOLTING upright after he yelled at them to “Wake up!” was hysterically funny.  He scared the bejeezus out of his dad probably because he didn’t raise his voice at his parents ever. 😂😈

Updated: According to @selmaMK, we can watch the full episode on dramanice. “Ask Us Anything” Ep 54. Netflix calls the variety show “Knowing Brothers” on its site but I don’t think it carries all the episodes. Thanks, @selmaMK! 👍

  1. @tsutsuloo falls in love a little more.😂

When he described sleeping between his parents, at (1:05) one of the others said, “Wow! Your family is super friendly!” Ha!

I’m going to guess they were on the floor.

  2. Hahaha. Your family is super-friendly is a diplomatic way of saying, “What the heck??”

I’m sure they were sleeping on the floor. Which is sweet. He must have had enough money to buy a bed (if he was acting already) but he still slept on floors like in the traditional homes.

On one of my trips to Seoul, I was able to ditch my colleagues for a night and stay in a hanok by myself. It was a lovely and quaint experience. And definitely memorable than staying in a Marriott or Four Seasons. 😂 I would recommend tourists to try it but I’m worried that the popularity of hanok-stay will soon make it difficult for me to rent one next time I visit. 😈

I slept on the floor with those blankets provided (just like in beach episode) and I woke around 3am sweating profusely. I didn’t realize that the ondol (or heated floor) could get that hot and I was wearing flannel pajamas. 😂 I was sorely tempted to take a shower but I didn’t fancy waking up the whole household when I turn on the hairdryer.

So those blankets, I’d use them as mats for the floor but I wouldn’t use them as sheets. A light blanket would have sufficed.

  3. Hello, I love reading your insights on Fluttering Warning drama. FYI, you can find full episode of CJM in Ask Us Anything Ep 54 at ondramanice website. I really love that particular episode as am a big fan of CJM since his 20s.

  4. Thank you! Dramanice “Ask us Anything” Ep 54. Let me update the post to include this info.

This is the first time I’ve watched a show of CJM.

Skipped the Cinderella kdrama bec I didn’t find the lead actress pretty. 😈 I’m shallow, I know.

Skipped Glory Jane bec I dislike the male second lead. I’ll never watch anything with Lee Jang Woo. What a despicable guy he is!

Tried to watch Heart to Heart. The premise of the show looked promising but I could never “get” the actress’ style of acting. She does the comedic parts well but when she switches off and does the serious, romantic parts, she turns ME off. 😂

    🤷‍♀️ (shrug)

This is the first time I like CJM’s leading lady, Yoon Eun Hye, so I watched him.

    Thanks again!

  5. Hola, glad you like CJM. I fell in love with his acting and cute face when I watched his old drama titled What’s Up Fox, he was partnered with noona 10 years older than him. But for me, he really nailed it.

I’d watched most of his dramas or movies, and still find him cute, amazing and charming at the same time.

FYI, CJM also join Night Goblin, a variety show where they went to delicious places and must get #1 before they can eat it. He’s the quiet type but can be naughty sometimes. He loves to laugh and smile as well. Very pleasant personality.

I also love YEH. Hence, Fluttering Warning is like a gift for me. Just a bit sadden with the lack of lovey-dovey moment between them.

Overall, I’ll treat this drama as a gift from both of them. And thanks for the beautiful insight that you deciphering in your blog. Really appreciate it. Thanks! 😘😘😘😘
    I am also

  6. Aigooo! Stop me from falling more into CJM’s charming and sweet smile! That smile is becoming deadly to me now! 😍 I might have to add him to my other two Oppa’s 🤣 How sweet was he to sleep with his parents after coming back from the army! Hopefully I can do that to my boy’s when their at that age 🙂
