Love O2O: Ep 23 Relationship Goals

After Episode 13, I realized that Nini made an excellent point. Weiwei and Nai DO have an enviable relationship that others aspire to achieve in their own love life. #relationshipgoals #boyfriendgoals

They are a “power couple” not because they could defeat Evil Granny and her Enslaved Minions in that instance dungeon. They’re a power couple because they can influence other people’s thoughts and behaviors. Individually, Nai and Weiwei may have weaknesses. But together, they slay all worries and challenges. They work as a team and they’ve got each other’s back. They like to shine the spotlight on their partner, like when Weiwei praises Nai and Nai lets her lead the team to the final battle. And when he’s shot on purpose by the Ex, they demonstrate that they don’t fixate on nuisances and setbacks but focus on the big picture. As a couple, they create a positive environment because people want to emulate them.

They’re tighter than any BFFs.

In Episode 23, they were discussing how to deal with the Cao guy. Weiwei said she was going to confront him herself.

Nai: Do you need me to come, too?
Weiwei: No, you’re too formidable. I can take care of it myself. I’ll have a sack and a bat prepared.

Nai: If you’re going to beat up someone, you should bring me with you.

Weiwei: You’re going to help me?!

I like how surprised she sounded, like, “Wait…what? Did you just offer to help me? I thought you didn’t like me beating up people. Just PK online (PK = player kill).”

Nai: No, I’ll be on the lookout for you.

If you can’t take him down, then I’ll help you.

hahaha. Partners in crime.

He’s actually better than her BFFs. He’ll know where to hide the body where it can never be found.

#Relationshipgoals #perfectboyfriend

Seriously though, just by making her smile about this whole sad affair between her and Erxi, he already brightened her day. It’s a special knack of his to make her smile and feel cherished at the same time.

I’m still feeling under the weather; I’ll owe you two write-ups today.

I hope you feel better soon @packmule3. But seriously, this is your blog. Just rest and take your time, you don’t have to deliver so rigidly. 😆

  2. I love it! Relationship goals! 😉 It’s because of his charms, killer smiles and killer responses that makes her happy all the time. It is so nice to just have someone behind you all the way in every endeavours of life. 😊

Please get better first before coming back here. My weekend is pretty hectic as it is. Sending you lots of hugs! ❤️☺️

  3. I’ve rested all day and now my body clock is out of whack.
I just finished one post on Ep 14 and watched 1/2 of the movie version of Love O2O.

I googled “relationship goals” memes to see if there’s anything similar to Xiao Nai and Weiwei’s goals. I saw lots of gross ones about kinky and weird stuff. Yuck. I’ve to bleach my eyes.

  4. Thanks, Growing Beautifully.
😀 We’re going on vacation, and I want to make sure I complete this before I leave. It’s hard to get back in the groove if I don’t finish this in time.

  5. 😂 gross, kinky and weird stuff! I can feel your yuck all the way here! 😂

Glad you’re well rested. 😊 what’s your initial reaction to the movie?

  6. I stopped midway. Will continue after I finish the highlights.

Let’s just say its 90 min running time impeded my credulity. For one, I couldn’t believe that she could swoon for him so easily after the wedding ceremony just because he brought this white unicorn…err horse, and they rode on it like Aladdin and whatzername on a magical carpet. 🤦‍♀️

For another, I couldn’t believe that he was the campus god. Like, that’s it??!!😱🧐

Look: as I go through these episodes, I’m discovering that I like Xiao Nai not only because of the actor’s look (although it does help that he’s easy on the eyes) but because of his character’s WORDS and actions. There’s more interaction and communication going on between Nai and Weiwei on the tv version, so it’s believable that Weiwei would fall in love and admire her online husband. In turn, this online “worshipping” transferred to real life admiration because his personality in the game is the same as his personality offline.

In the movie, I’m still looking for a reason to like the guy and I’m already halfway. His show of force when he dueled that Ex-husband was off-putting to me because it was prolonged and excessive. Like, dude, he’s already beaten to pulp. Do you need to humiliate him too? The Xiao Nai on TV version wouldn’t do that.

😂😂 That’s why HE’s our Best Boyfriend Ever. He’s the gold standard.

  7. I found your blog today and I am dropping by to say that I enjoy reading your posts about Love O2O. I knew of this drama when it aired back in 2016 but I was into Kdrama at the time and had no interest in trying out Cdramas. I regret that now. I only watched Love O2O when I saw it on Netflix because I had nothing else to watch (I find Kdramaland to be dry these past years). I remember reading all the good stuff about it back then so I decided to have a go. After episode 1, I was already hooked. I ended up absolutely loving this drama that it is now in my top faves. I was quite sad when I missed all the drama discussions and fangirlings when it came out years ago. It’s nice to see others still making posts about it even today. I will surely be checking your blog regularly. Thanks for the posts.

  8. Alright! A new poster! Yes, please join us and post your comments on any of the episodes. We love this cdrama. And over loving = bitching about day and night.

I enjoyed Memories of the Alhambra but I wanted something light and fluffy to unwind and renew my faith in good old romance. Love O2O hit the spot.

  9. I didn’t want to try Chinese drama/Taiwanese drama because the ones I saw were just horrid. Like “It Started with a Kiss”, “Smiling Pasta” and something else that was later adapted into a kdrama. (I’ll edit when I recall the title.)

The heroines were all stoopid as cows. Maybe even stoopider but producing less methane. This was the first one with a heroine I can empathize with so I became hooked.

Don’t worry about posting on old discussions. @agdr03 and @phoenix love to add their comments. @agdr03 and I are actually old friends from our “Warm and Cozy” days at soompi. We can talk about anything under the sun.

  10. @MC hi and welcome!!! 🙂

So nice to see another LoveO2O fan here. I’ve never been interested at all in cdramas because of my kdrama obsession but I think I’m glad I only recently watched this drama because I feel I would have joined the YangYang/ZhengShuang army in shipping them to the moon and back! 😃

Besides LoveO2O, I have only seen Autumn Concerto (Taiwanese) and Meteor Garden 2018 (Chinese). I liked them but not as much as I love LoveO2O. 🙂

  11. Hang in there, I’m rushing through Ep 15 before heading to bed. 😀

  12. Aladdin and Jasmine 🙂

Yeah I can understand where your coming from with ‘he is the campus God?’. 😃 I wasn’t feeling him too (he looked good with his long white hair in the game though) and yes that fight was a bit too much. I liked that scene where she says to the other guy that she likes Xiao Nai and he was right behind her.

There’s certainly a lot of difference especially as it is a movie compared to the drama but no one will win over the drama as it is. 🙂 No one can beat Yang Yang as THE BEST BOYFRIEND EVER! 😉

  13. Yeah, he’s BBE, Best Boyfriend Ever!

There’s one scene I like in the movie though — so far, I’ve spotted one because I haven’t finished watching it.

I’ll put it up on the blog.

  14. @MC welcome!!! One more Love O2O fan, yippee!!!🎉🎉🎉 The more the merrier!!!😻😻😻
