Love O2O: @agdr03’s Comments on Ep 15

Here’s our usual “She says, She says” post. @agdr-3’s comments are in blue italics. My response in black.

*****************

Firstly, that ‘my dear wife’ just gives me heart palpitations all the time. 🥰 🥰 🥰
Secondly, I love this episode!

The problem with me is that I love all episodes. Usually after I finish a write-up, I think to myself, “Wow! That was a fun episode to watch.” And then I get to the next episode and I think “Whoa! That was fun, too!”

I’m so fickle!

1 – There’s always something about a helpful boyfriend that makes you like him more. I’ve never experienced that helping in studies from a man.

A smart and capable guy is always so dreamy.

I felt Xiao Nai felt happy that he’s girlfriend is the department beauty who has been asked all her life. 🙂

I think he knows that she’s got him him that comeback of hers.

Touche!

But I agree. Sometimes, it feels like he’s raising his fist in the air and saying, “YES! I won her.”

By the way, this is the reason etiquette demands that we say “Congratulations!” to the groom and not to the bride. We extend our “Best wishes!” to the bride. The guy worked hard to win his girl’s hand.

2 – As much as it is true that a phone would bring our couple closer and that money was not an issue, I wouldn’t want to take a phone from him if I were WeiWei. I thought it was fine that she worked so she can buy a phone. How did she lose it anyway? Did they show that?

It wasn’t mentioned in the show how she lost her phone. And I agree with you. I would buy MY own phone. Believe it or not, I bought my first diamonds when I was about 18. I was one of those rebellious, anti-establishment teenager (like these social justice warriors nowadays) and I didn’t want to wait for any stinkin’ guy to buy me an engagement ring. I bought my own diamond set, a pair of earrings and ring, from a store in Amsterdam. My mother, ever the gentle Southern lady, was horrified. My father thought it was a riot.

So, yes to buying her own cellphone.

3 – I like that jealous look. You can barely tell but because we know Xiao Nai, you can tell. Even his response was not of a jealous man, he was just stating the obvious. LOL!
I like that motherly/fatherly love. 😍 He does put the boys in place but I thought it was swoon because he referred to them as husband and wife with a kid.

Of course, we can sense that he’s jealous. 🙂

Remember when he was jealous of Friend #1 who said that fate was working to get him and Weiwei together? Nai was also “stating the obvious” back then when he retorted that “if something happened, it wouldn’t have anything to do with” Friend #1.

Here’s Friend #1 teasing him about it.

So, now he’s back to being jealous again.

Now, that’s what I call “blocking.”

4 – Agree! I liked that nudge to WeiWei to stand up because she is part of the group now.
That wrist grab came with a swoon look too per your gif. It’s amazing WeiWei didn’t faint from it. I would! 🤣

I’ve to look for a gif. I found this but I’ve to look for more because this was one is too fast.

I’m pretty sure he was flexing his biceps, too. pwahahaha.

Waaaa! He was very proud! The only thing missing is a banner on top of his head saying my girlfriend is the best! 🤣

I like how Weiwei defended him well. She said something like “Isn’t it natural for him to say, ‘Who’s this?’ when he didn’t know who it was?” She was telling the guys that they were exaggerating Nai’s “meanness” to the caller and their perception was biased. Her Nai did nothing wrong. 😀

5 – They look so good together when he leaned over. The feels! 🤣 🤣 🤣

How about this gif? hahaha. Wicked smile, eh?

6 – I love this scene when she had tears after what Xiao Nai said. He is doing his best even if he doesn’t have the experience. Who wouldn’t be so touched when you hear him say that?

Yes, his sincerity came through. He’s trying his best and that’s good enough for me.

7 – Oh I thought about it just like you did, that it binds WeiWei to him. 🙂 Xiao Nai was sooo happy. I think you’re right that he doesn’t get a lot of gifts. Oh there goes that my dear wife again. 😍

And it’s her special graduation gift to him. She gave him a pet like the other guys but this hairpin was special because it was his alone.

Here in the US, there was a tradition in college involving getting “pinned” by the guy. The guy gave his girlfriend a pin from his fraternity. This gesture meant that they were going steady, and in an official relationship. To be “pinned” was a much more serious affair than say, asking a girl out to go on a movie date. It was witnessed by people, and there was the implied intent to become engaged in the future. Think of it as a pre-engagement engagement. lol.

In high school, it was the exchange of class rings and LETTER (not leather, lol) jackets. If your boyfriend was on the varsity team, he’d own a letter jacket and he’d give it to you along with his class ring to signify that you were going steady.

I’m not sure about Chinese dating rules, but for me, this “hairpin by Weiwei” carried a lot of association because of the dating scene here.

8 – Ever since they became a couple, he’s been her driver alright. 🙂

In that short segment alone, he was her bellhop, driver, pharmacist and gardener.

Grrr… He’s quite the Boy Scout. Always annoyingly prepared. If I were his girlfriend, I’d make him buy feminine pads for my monthlies just to discombobulate him with the variety of choices: brands, style, types, sizes.

Don’t get nasty ok. 🤣 He’s just as you say he is, a boy scout. A very concerned boy scout because his girlfriend looks like she’s coming down with a cold. 😀

Okay. Okay. But if you want to see a guy confused tell him to buy you your feminine period products.

I always like it when Hubby asks me if I need anything or medicine when he feels I’m coming down with something. 🙂 I’m giving Xiao Nai points on this one. 😜

One Comment On “Love O2O: @agdr03’s Comments on Ep 15”

  1. Hello again. 🙂 Just coming back now because I came in late at the office and got busy.

Another great thing about this drama is you won’t get sick re-watching it. The appeal of our couple is very solid and the story touches your heart.

Thank you for that information about the congratulations to the groom. I should have realized that very early on and really coming from an Asian background, I should know. LOL! It is true that every man needs to work hard to win his girl. 🙂

That’s very impressive girlfriend! A pair of diamond earrings and ring at 18!!! That is goals! 🙇‍♀️ 🙇‍♀️ 🙇‍♀️ I still only own two diamonds, my engagement and wedding ring. 🙂

There were a few times when he was jealous but because of his ‘no one can reply back’ remarks, no one noticed it. LOL!

Yes, I noticed that bicep too! Not too big and not too small! 😀

Agree, WeiWei did defend him but that’s because she believed him too when he said that was it after that phone call.

I like him smiling and fully smiling or laughing! 😍 😍 😍

If I were WeiWei I should have given him a kiss after he said he’s trying to do what others are able to do.

Also WeiWei worked hard on putting it together just for him. 🙂

That’s nice, a tradition in college and high school. I don’t think we have those here in Oz. People here are very liberated. 🙄

In that short segment alone, he was her bellhop, driver, pharmacist and gardener. Wow! So true! How can someone not dream about having him as a boyfriend? Winner!!! 😁

I feel bad for that guy! Someone should have pulled him aside and talked to him in private instead of asking the girls. LOL!
