I thought the backstory of JiHeng and Tian Qi was nicely wrapped up in this episode. It didn’t rely on all flashbacks. We also got Ji Heng’s point of view. We saw that, from the start, he regretted not being there to help her.
He really didn’t know that his mother had planned it.

So, that was the first night that he’d slept through the night. When he woke up, it was already morning.
Again, it’s Mr. Sheng who put the thought in his head that as long as Tian Qi was beside him, his insomnia got better. He could sleep easily.
But even then, he didn’t want her to know that she was useful for curing his insomnia because he suspected that she’d take advantage of the situation.
That’s interesting, considering in Episode 22, everybody was telling him to suspect Tian Qi’s motives for deception but he said that he trusted her no matter what. Mr. Sheng (and his mother) warned him that Tian Qi could be using him to her advantage, but it didn’t matter to him anymore.

I like how he changed from this episode 4 to episode 22. I guess that’s one advantage of cdramas over kdramas. Since kdramas only 16 episodes, the love story has to be at a faster pace. The couple would hate each other this week, then in the following episode, they’d be in love already. This cdrama had the time to show the progression between distrust and trust slowly.

I wasn’t irritated with the story’s pacing because there was reason why the writer was withholding the “great reveal.” She/he was creating a picture, and she was laying the pieces one by one, like a jigsaw puzzle piece. It would have been screwed up the story (and totally changed the conflict) had Ji Heng discovered early on who she was.

But I like how JZ turned the tables and said that TQ was his “benefactor”. I think this is where people (and Mr. Sheng) got the idea that it was TQ who rescued JZ from getting hit by the stick by taking the blow herself.
JZ actually thanked her for coming to HER assistance when it should have been her thanking him. “Thank you for the timely support.” That’s how the misunderstanding happened.

I like how this Cdrama introduced details which would turn out to be important later on. It didn’t waste our time on irrelevant things.
For instance, I didn’t get why Tian kept on talking about this “Shifu” of hers…her mentor who was the greatest doctor she’d ever seen. She told Chunhua that women can be doctors, too.
I skipped this whole part because I thought it was irrelevant.
But now I realized that Aunty Hong was an important character. She kept on saving her and Ji Heng from “fatal” wounds. 🙂

Like that whole scene with Chunhua. Tian Qi was unaware that she was giving poor Chunhua the wrong impression with her physical touch. Tian Qi kept touching Chunhua. For Tian Qi, that was nothing because she was a girl. They were like two girls chatting.
But for Chunhua, TQ was a guy who was “touchy-touchy” with her. Chunhua saw her behavior as a sign of her affection. lol. Every time TQ held her wrists, Chunhua’s eyes would widen like TQ’s eyes would whenever JH or JZ came close to her. lol.
What about JH thinking thoroughly about the door frame, the reason why she’s got a bandage? 😂
But the concern that came after was nice. He asked Mr Shen right away about what happened?

So he asked her if she had crawled through a DOG hole. hahaha. Meaning, given her height, the only possible way she could have hit her forehead was if she was crawling through a doggy opening.
This is a funny conversation really.
I was laughing at it too. Actually both Huang Junjie and Sun did very well in acting the funny parts. Sometimes it falls short, like IFFY 😀
He spotted the blood on her head but he didn’t show concern. In fact, he said, “Remember my words. Your life is in my hands. Don’t get yourself killed before I allow you to get killed.” Meaning, he didn’t want her fighting and getting injured because then his plans for her as bait to the killer would fail.
He sounded mean here.
But actually he was concerned enough to go directly to Mr. Sheng and inquire about her injuries. He just didn’t want her to know it because she might use this to her advantage.

Whenever Ji Heng scolded her, he was deadpan so Tian Qi couldn’t tell her if he was being serious or not.
And Sun Qian’s cuteness didn’t grate on me like the heroine in IFFY. Her voice didn’t whine for one. And even when she whined or acted obsequious, those were called for in those scenes. SHE knew that she was acting shamelessly.
It must have been hard on HJJ to keep a straight face for most of 20 episodes 😂 But he did well. He seems like a happy go lucky guy, quiet too.
True. He said, your life is mine, only I can kill you. It didn’t sound like a concern at all but he must have asked Mr Shen to get information on the issue because as soon as he went out Mr Shen was there to give the report. 😊
He knew he wouldn’t get a straight answer from TQ so he went to Mr. Sheng, “Sheng Anhua, why did TQ clash with the others yesterday?”
I like that. I like it when he takes charge. I don’t like heroes who dither. Cough cough. That Cuo guy from “I Fall For You” I gave up when he took the beatings from the gangsters in Episode 12. Like what the heck? If he got beaten up, then who was going to rescue the girl? Idiot.
Here, Mr. Sheng relayed the wrong version of the incident with JZ. He said that TQ protected the master. Misinformation. Fake news. lol.
If you were TQ, you’d be outraged by his words. He was saying:
You can’t be killed by others because I have to kill you first.
Or
You can’t be killed by Sun Dali because I have a better death for you in mind.
You should be hopping mad and saying, “Are you kidding me right now? What am I? Chopped liver?”
JH’s bp was going up as soon as he asked ‘TQ injured himself saving JZ? Then the peak being ‘doesn’t he know who his master is?!. 😆 So angry his clothes are swinging too. 😆
Ji Heng frowned to hear that TQ and Sun Dali were fighting over Chunhua. But Mr. Sheng clarified that TQ was only defending Chunhua.
Then, he added that Sun Dali ran into Ji Zheng while chasing after TQ. She got injured while protecting JZ.
And this irritated Ji Heng.
JH: TQ got hurt when saving JZ?
Sheng: That’s what people are saying. Dr Tian bravely protected master.
JH: Protected the master? Doesn’t he know who his master is?
hahaha. Of course, he would zoom in on that word “master.” He was demanding loyalty from Tian Qi. He was her only master. She couldn’t serve two.
I like that Mr. Sheng came to TQ’s defense. He said that TQ didn’t think too much about her act of service. Meaning, she was just being kind. She didn’t want others to get hurt. She didn’t protect Ji Zheng out of duty or loyalty or allegiance, but out of kindness.
And so it starts…
I know, right? His blood pressure rose there.
He gets riled up at the simplest things because he overthinks things. But I can’t blame him really. With a girl like Tian Qi, he can’t be too sure of anything.
And yes, it was funny how he flapped the sleeves of his outfit to express annoyance. That reminded me of a peevish kid stomping his foot.
Yes, he acts straight away, just like how he planted the day when he ousted TQ as a woman.
Oh really? Zhao Cuo just let himself be beaten? I thought he was a bully that doesn’t back down. I mean he burned that library. 😬

Yes, that was a cute scene, too, when he teased TQ BACK about her punishment after SHE had teased him about Ninger’s lingering looks. Ji Heng just wanted his payback so he brought up her punishment.
She quickly took the “pity” route. She pointed out that she’d already got hurt (see? she was bleeding!!!) so please don’t beat her up again.
TQ: Me? General? You want to punish me? I got hurt, General. (touching her forehead) Don’t let me get beaten again. Also, please don’t deduct my salary.
Mr. Sheng was holding back his smile.
JH: Since you like being punished so much, Mr. Sheng will arrange it.
The reason he said this was because Tian Qi — in negotiating the terms of her punishment — was in fact already CONCEDING to the punishment. She was no longer protesting the punishment itself, just the method. hahaha. So Ji Heng basically said, “Okay…soooo you’re seeking to be punished? Fine! Arrange it with Mr. Sheng!”
I like how he thinks.

I like how he looked at his hand and saw that her medicine worked. Again, this looked like a small detail but later when his brother JZ asked him how Tian Qi was, he said that her skills as a doctor were good. And that’s because he had actual proof with his hand injury healed completely.
I thought it was funny that she was devising new treatment for him. He was immediately suspicious, Are you too tired to fan me?”
I don’t think he was far off. Tian Qi was most likely thinking of a way to get out of the fan service. She was devious that way.
So she tried this wormwood method on him.
But again, this was yet another seemingly unimportant interaction between the two. She was pestering him to give her new treatment a try. She said, “Please let me try it on your body. Maybe it’s more effective.” And then she added that everyday she was thinking of how to improve his diet, his sleep, his health and his mood.
He would miss this “caring” attention from her later on after the kneeling incident. He would tell her, “You used to talk a lot of ways to cure insomnia. Why aren’t you talking it now?”
And she answered, “I didn’t think carefully. I used some untested methods on my lord’s precious body. It’s disrespect.”
See? So all these experiments, although he WAS burned at one time, were signs of her attention that he would miss later on.
I go to a Korean (what else?) masseuse. I like her because she doesn’t try to chat me with me. It’s all business. lol.

Taiwanese drama? Hmmm…I’ve been burned by Tdramas before so I’m leery of them. There’s just something…I don’t know…”lust-y” about their shows. I scratch the surface and I realize that it’s sexual tension between the characters that’s driving them to have a relationship with each other. It’s not love.

His nightmares were always related to Tian Qi…it was like his “Spidey Sense” that tingled everytime there was trouble for Tian Qi or something wrong was about to happen.

Oh, wait! I did like a Taiwanese drama. The girl was annoyingly dim-witted again but I tolerated her and many of the scenes because I like the male lead. He’s Jerry Yan.
The name of the Tdrama? “Down With Love.” The plot: He was also a lawyer (ha!) and he fell in love with the dumbest girl in the city because she had a big heart who was a perky nanny to his abandoned nephew/niece. There! That’s the whole plot.
But he was sweet with her. Don’t we all live for sweetness??
We can rewatch the final episode or Episode 22.. We can talk about it tomorrow. Good night!

IQIY site has many dramas I haven’t seen elsewhere but I’ve to check if they’re subbed all the way first before recommending them. So I’ve been checking their final episode. There’s one that seemed promising but after I saw the ugly kissing in the end, I changed my mind. The guy didn’t know how to kiss. He grabbed her and slobbered over her. I hope, for the actress’ sake, the filming was done in one take.
Oddly enough, I’m Falling for You isn’t there anymore. I guess it’s now on YT.
I saw a BTS where Sun Qian asked if Huang Junjie knew had a drivers license. And he said no. Then, after a pause, he added that he knew how to drive though. Then he covered the camera filming them and said he was veteran (meaning, he was good at it). Lol. I didn’t know if I had to laugh that he had to puff himself up like that or frown that he was bragging about something illegal — driving without a license.
😂 So childish. Why does it annoy him that TQ described the turtle as ugly and scary? It’s his fault that he didn’t want her to know who the real rescuer was.

Yes. TQ had to show the turtle. The thing was that he saved TQ again by saying that the turtle that she found was a descendant of the spirit turtle as a historian wrote it in the books and had the mark – king on it. ☺️ The siblings teased her because the turtle was small.

You know, this whole thing about JH liking her when he thought she was a guy just showed, in an odd way, that he liked her for being her. Although she was cross-dressing, her quirky personality made him pay attention to her. Her appearance didn’t matter. 😂
I agree, TQ had a way of getting to him and affect him in ways that showed that he cares but never admitting it at all.
Yes, here appearance didn’t matter but I think it helped that he was able to see that she is kind and loyal and that she is a good doctor. 🙂
