In other news, Yang Yang’s costar in “Love O2O,” Zheng Shuang has been a big disgrace. Please google on your own the latest news about her. Please choose a site that you trust as source of information. Your key words should involve surrogacy, divorce, (attempted) abortion, and child abandonment. Because of public anger toward Ms. Zheng, demands have been made that all her works, including “Love O2O,” be removed from circulation.
What’s more troubling for me is that her two toddlers will grow up knowing that their own mother wanted them aborted. Scandals like this last forever on the internet. It’s exactly the kind that stigmatizes and traumatizes children when they find out. Poor sweethearts.
Yangyang!!! Yay!!! I hope I can get to watch this with the BoD. The only Cdrama I’ve watched are Love 020 and King’s Avatar. 😉 My kid likes rewatching King’s Avatar until now because of the game. Incidentally, the game was called Glory.
I saw the article early this week on NYT about Ms Zheng. I was shocked and dismayed and sad. I’ve only watched her in Love 020 with Yangyang and did not know much about her.
Okay let me watch and get back to you about the translations. Yup. From the quick watch, the translation is correct.
The thrust of the video are the actors/actresses saying goodbye to the roles that they played. Summing up individually their thoughts about their respective characters (that’s why they are saying goodbye to the character) and their hopes/wishes for their character (as they bid farewell – because they’ve finished filming).
And the final goodbye by Yang2 and Dilraba (she’s the most gorgeous thing that exists isn’t she?)

That bit is an expression of thanks to their respective characters for transporting them back to their youth (as they played their characters) and revisiting a time where life was exciting, romantic (the world was their oyster in other words). Just put in more flowery metaphorical language.
So they say a fond farewell to the movie they filmed together. The last sentence is a play on words. It’s metaphorically saying to the audience, “please anticipate watching this drama (Glory) where we will “meet” you (the audience) again”.
This looks beautifully filmed. I may just join you. The only thing that stops me from CDramas is the length of it. So many eps! 😂

Reading the news and the leaked phone conversation on ZH really saddened me, the poor innocent children. And reading ZH’s statement on the matter was even worse.
On my experience with Yang Yang, I watched Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossom movie version with Yang Yang and Liu Yifei and I watched Love 020 halfway. As for Dilraba, I saw her in the King’s Woman.
I will watch this just to see Yang yang and Dilraba on screen together.
27 episodes is okay. It’s when it’s 50+ that I back off. That’s sad about the children. Poor innocents. I hope they get adopted/fostered into a loving family with their identities protected.
If you all are watching this I don’t mind joining you all. I haven’t been drawn much to Cdramas, yes mainly because of the length, Cmovies or Taiwan Movies, I love though.
The translation is quite accurate and what is their funny names about? Jade rabbit pounding medicine and Hand that Pick Cotton?? 😛 I haven’t watched Dilraba but she looks so exotic.
The news of Zhang Huang is really sad and especially for their children. Like a drama. Also came at another news with two singers Zhang BiChen for having a daughter in secret without telling her ex Hua Chengyu (got confused because of the same surname). Another drama. What’s with all these news lately??
I would like to watch Glory. I think the leads are very talented, so I have hopes that we will all enjoy it together.
So awful about Zhang Huang, her ex-husband, the two children and the woman/women? who acted as surrogate, too. It’s mostly tragic for the two children who had no part in the decisions. So many lives damaged. It is like a drama, as @grace said, and it makes me wonder about the underlying motivations, pressures, manipulations and plans that made it happen. It is such an ugly story.
Yeah I’m so sad about the whole Zheng Shuang situation. Sigh, can I still watch love o2o in the future… maybe they’ll make another adaptation. At least there’s this new Gu Man drama. I really liked her other novel “blazing sunlight” too. Another similar drama I was wondering if you’d like is Forever Love since it’s also quite similar.

I think she seems to have unusual eyes because she is an ethnic minority. Her eyes are very big. But she is a good actress from what I’ve seen.

Another blog used the word ‘domineering’ but I guess they mean that he surprised them by being assertive. He seems to have the quiet, gentle image and fans did not expect him to be vocal, stern and uncompromising, perhaps?
@GB I just had a read of what YangYang actually said in his tweet. He rebuked them for disrespecting his staff (make up artist) accusing them of being overly nit picky. Howdy! 🙂 I’ve watched up to episode 7 of the drama and I’m liking and enjoying it more and more now. 🙂
What I like –
– Jingjing being able to convince Yu Tu to teach her the game.
– Jingjing using his invention of aeronaustic air purifier to finally meet her again. He’s smart enough to know though that she used it as an excuse to get him to meet/teach her. He teased her about it in episode 7. LOL! But that air purifier had high demand after Jingjing posted a picture of it. 🙂
– Yu Tu keeping their connection a secret from everyone.
– Yu Tu asking her to hang out with him on Singles Day, they watched a movie together.
– Jingjing being able to keep him company knowing that he has a lot of things on his mind. She set up a little date like atmosphere in her apartment which took 20 minutes, Yu Tu timed her. LOL!
– That they’re able to just hang out together as a teacher/student and as old classmates. 🙂
– Jingjing not pushing her boundaries when it comes to their personal lives but Yu Tu is slowly opening up to her and I love it.
Jingjing may not be as smart as Yu Tu but she’s definitely a star shining bright on Yu Tu. But he said he is leaving the galaxy. huhuhu!

I have watched up to Episode 12, which is all that is available to me. I am liking this so much. The friendship seems natural and not at all forced. They both have to keep many things secret, even from other friends and family. I think it’s hard for each of them and makes them lonely.
I’m not a gamer, so sometimes I ff through the game things. I wish some of the writing was translated – like the graphics next to the characters when they are first introduced and the phone and game messages. I feel like I’m missing some important information there.
I had to try to figure out why I felt I was missing some information. I found a blogger who does recaps and she explained the names of the characters. She either speaks Chinese or has access to a Chinese translator. Apologies to anyone who already knows the following information or please, if it’s wrong, do correct me.
This blogger says that Jing Jing means shining, brilliant, light, etc. Her original ID in high school was Flickering and shining – like her name. Then, to catch Yu Tu’s attention, she changed it to ‘hand that can reach the starry galaxy’. Now she’s made it something like ‘hand that can grab cotton’ so the boys nickname her Cotton.
Yu Tu’s ID name is yutudaoyao, a play on words with his name. This means Jaded rabbit pounds medicine. Jaded rabbit is the mythical rabbit image in the moon. This must be why JJ recognises him as a player in the game and why she lures him back to an encounter. Credit to cyn-lynn.blogspot.com .

I really did try to get into the game but all I learned is that there’s 5 positions – Mid, Jungler, Marksman, Tank and Support. The graphics are very good but when you look at the game itself it’s hard especially when their in battle. I get lost. 😂
I agree about the friendship even though Jingjing initiated the meeting, it didn’t bother Yu Tu. They both know their boundaries but now they’re comfortable with each other and so it’s more easier to know a little bit more. 😊
