She Would Never Know: Open Thread

The thread is now open.

I don’t think I’m following this, but I’m opening a thread anyway for Rowoon (“Extraordinary You”). I’ve nothing against Won Jinah (“Just Between Lovers” with Junho) so I don’t mind dropping in and joining you.

And yes, yes. I know when it comes to beauty —

Cha Eunwoo (“True Beauty”) >>> Rowoon (and yes, I heard the rumors about his plastic surgery but whatever)

and when it comes to acting —

Lee Jae Wook (“Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol”) >>>  Rowoon (but LJW is a more accomplished performer than a lot of actors his age anyway)

but I want to know if Rowoon chooses better projects and better partners than Kim MinJae (“Do You Like Brahms?”).

lol. Bitching and sipping tea since 2017.

This is a “noona romance” but I’m giving it pass for now because:

a. it’s *only* a year difference, and I’ll think of Rowoon as a horse. (One year for a horse = Three years for a human).
b. I’ve survived fiasco called “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol.” Nothing could beat the shock of knowing LJW was a minor; I felt so indecent.

Here are some gifs from liveasbutterflies’ tumblr.

Let’s enjoy the show.

  1. when I found out the one year difference, I’m like eh.. 🤣

The noona part is more workplace sunbae I think. I will start this once I finish with Flower of Evil. I heard Ro-woon is doing great here

  2. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Thanks @pkml3. Hmmm … a drama where Won Jin Ah looks made up and well put together? That will be a change (for me). We’ll see if show grabs me and if I can carve out time for it. I didn’t even have time to watch True Beauty with subs!

  3. Gosh, her stunned 😍 face in that clip! 😂 I shall have to have a peek.

  4. It’s a very typical drama-esque romance drama. But the characters have flaws and work on them. In the first 2 episodes, the ML was out of line sometimes but the 3-4 explained his behavior and he apologized for example.

Personaly, I like both CEW and Rowoon. CEW is more like a perfect greek statue but super cute when he smiled and I found Rowoon more charming and charismatic.

For the acting,on CEW’s 3 last roles, 2 are identical (perfect boy with daddy issue who falls in love with a insecure girl) and the 3rd was boring… Rowoon’s roles are different (the annoying brother, thr typical second lead, the lost puppy and now a confident young man).

  5. Btw just dropping this in case anyone wants to check out just how tall Ro-woon is lol..

fyi he’s only on the first group

  6. I finally started Sunbae after I finished Run On, should be able to catch up soon since it’s only up to Ep 6.

I looked it up a little, Sunbae was based on a web novel and it was also made into a webtoon.

    My first impression (Ep1-3)

So far it’s an enjoyable watch for me, i don’t feel the need to speed watch or fast forward each episode and most importantly i’m not bored. On the story itself it’s nothing new, rich ML having a long one sided crush, hard working FL who had a cheating lying ex-boyfriend. Second ML with troubled past marrying the company’s owner granddaughter. And Second FL is rich, catty, and obsessed with owning the second ML. It’s all very familiar only this time with cosmetics company background.

Rowoon is definitely not Haru here lol.. I’m still ambivalent with Hyun-seung, his self-proclaimed protectiveness is borderline on possessive for me. For example during his big plan of exposing Song-ah boss/secret boyfriend’s double life, he basically dragged Song-ah despite her protest, also the way he wiped that lipstick off Song-ah without permission *smh* but on the other hand he do take care of Song-ah. He’s confident without being obnoxious, he came from money and has his own cool bachelor pad.

  7. @Ella The lipstick part was clearly wrong from his part even if I understand how angry he was. He watched her during one month put on lipstick to meet her boyfriend who was planning a wedding with another girl. The fact that his ex-girlfriend cheated on him didn’t help. But he apologized.

For the exposing part, I don’t think there was a good way to do it. His way was pretty cruel but it allowed her to think about it without Jae-Shin could intervene in her thoughts. If he just told her the truth, she should have confronted Jae-Shin to know if it was true. If told about the wedding to Jae-Shin in front of her (in the elevator for example), first it would have made his sister agency looking bad because it was still a secret and again Jae-Shin could intervene in Song-A’s decision. Now, she’s the one who broke up and because she has someone else.

  8. This scene was so cute! I love this uncle-niece relationship 😀

  9. I will just continue my list of cute (and sexy) videos :p

This time, how to hug a giant (and kiss him) :
