For a kdrama that makes much ado about mealtime dynamics, why hasn’t there been any fanfare on JW and Jang’s meals together aside from that scene with the crab legs that Songhwa bought?
Even their first dinner date was a nothing burger.

Good point @pkml3. What is significant is their omission. It is from the mealtime interactions that much is revealed. When meals do not get featured, it must mean that nothing of great moment took place, there was nothing important to reveal, the interactions of the ones who ate together were not worth highlighting. The same principle of show, not tell applies for all interactions with significance. Min Ha’s one-person Christmas dinner had more air time allotted to it to the 2? meal times of Jang and JW together.

MinHa’s Christmas dinner was so fun to watch. And she had the stuffed bear to keep her company. I love MinHa. She’s such a trooper. Her zest for life is contagious. Thank goodness for Bear couple. They keep me sane. WG is just ridiculous. IkSong trolling is tiresome. Dove couple break up was idiocy (the only good thing to come of it is JWan’s beautiful character arc in S2 in spite of it and his trusty side kick JaeHak).

@CheekyChu @Sasa13 Ever since SW rejected IJ, there had been numerous parallels between the relationship of SW-IJ and Ju-Rosa. Several of the scenes were even made right after the other so the audience won’t miss the comparison. I guess a lot of the shippers are still in denial 😅
I also wonder what SeonBin and SeokMin were looking at from behind the door–a mixture of curiosity and amusement on their faces. I know SB ships SH with the chaebol owner of Yulje.
What are they showing on the special broadcast? I doubt if this will be shown in Netflix. Thanks for sharing!
@Janey I think it was the extended teaser. Shown at the end of the special broadcast last night. I am not entirely convinced it’s all from Ep7? It could well be like the extended teaser we got before the season premiered. So a mix of different scenes from different eps? I guess we will find out.

Wow, so we have a new trailer for ep. 7 (haven’t watched the special episode yet) – JW riding shotgun is obvious for all to see, but IJ is sitting in the middle of a back three – shoutout to ep. 1, where the positions were flipped (SHwa, JWan and SH’s places are the exact same as ep. 1). This ties in nicely with the other flips that have occurred this season (the first official premiere poster had IJ standing next to SHwa before the broadcast and JW standing next to SHwa after). Also fits into our theory of how things will be changing up after the “intermission” – start on a clean slate, like the second half that promises to go out with a bang, ShinLee requesting the audience to reset their viewing purviews and restart their brains.
As for us FGers, this second half is going to serve as validation, rewarding our faith in the ship that we boarded as early as S1E1. And for the cautious FG fans (like myself, @Miracle23, @bulmaGoku to name a few), we hope that this half will be refreshing (in terms of the viewing experience – this is true for all of us here who have been stupid bored with much of this season) and help to reinstate our trust in this duo, as “disorientated” as they have made us (was it @OAL that gave context to the term in another thread? Gold stuff).

@dashman1010 I read that the teaser is not just for Ep7. It’s similar to the extended teasers we got before premiere date. So it has scenes from eps 7-12? Maybe not 12 because we’ll get a FG wedding then 😂.
I am not sure if we have ep. 12 scenes in there. If my est is correct they should be working on ep. 11 and ep. 12 at the moment. We’ll see. If covid has any effect causing delays of sort, they probably are working on ep. 10 to ep 12 in the next few weeks. Earlier this year they rented the apartment til July. Not sure if any extension to Aug is involved. If no delays, they maybe wrapping up filming by end of july or mid aug. We’ll see.
@Dashman1010, regardless of the outcome of ep. 12 this season, my worthy otp remains with FG. They are my ideal. Theirs compatibility is a relationship goal, at least for me. ShinLee can write whatever ending they want, I am just gonna stick with our FG til the end comes what may.😊

I’m late in the HP—and FG—or should I say ship/canoe. Corona got me down so was able to rest and chill and bingewatch. This drama is a source of comfort and inspiration during these trying time.
I really love PaBo and SongHwa individually; but the latter a tad bit more. I really hope they end up together coz they are so perfect for each other. They are sweet and tender to each other. And their values align.
Seems like Rosa’s dementia might be progressing. Patients with dementia forget the more recent/newer memories first before the older ones.
I don’t know if she has met Jang, but even if she did, she would forget her first. But her memories of Song Hwa, her son’s friend for the longest time, would persist longer. That will further push our PaBo-SongHwa endgame.
@cheekychu that is rite. My friend talked about her worry that Rosa might be have a dementia since she keeps forgetting this and that on prev episodes.
What specialty looks after and cares for dementia patients? Neurology.
Who among the 5 is closest to it? Neurosurgery!
And dementia patients need a lot of patience, kindness and understanding. Something Jang is lacking. But Song Hwa has in abundance. 🙂

@miracle23 thanks unnie, I want to write but this hiatus has not done any favours to my inspiration. Hopefully next week’s episode will bring us closer to a resolution with our ship (and I can then close this FF properly 😌). And yes, you are right, they are the ideal couple, but we just see so little of them, I wish we’d get more scenes with them together be scattered through the season rather than cram everything in the last two episodes, it would then seem so rushed 🙁 (can we not be like WGers asking for more scenes of theirs together, we’ll have no legitimate reason once the series is over 🥺) Ok ok, I’m not going to stoop to their level 🤣
Having a meal with family/loved ones is kinda “sacred” thing, I think-feel. The atmosphere and conversations you have during meals often than not reflect the depth n kind of in bonding you have with each other.
That Jang-JW dinner date was so… their interaction was mundane n was it the first dinner date? Lol… Oh yes, that date ended in a kiss scene n so did the time JW brought Jang the snow crab legs. This must have been said by other FGers somewhere in the other posts, n yes, I absolutely agree that there’s really nothing to say between JW-Jang, the best the producers can do is “sealed it with a kiss”…
I came across this quote yesterday, “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” – Virginia Woolf. LOL if JW is going long term with Jang… it’s a downward spiral 🙁
