And because tomorrow it’s Ash Wednesday, a day of fasting and abstinence for me and @Growing_Beautifully, I’ll have to content myself with this gif.

Goodbye, sweet delights! See you in 40 days.

Ooh! @pkml3!!! You had to put the cake gif right there!!! Yeah I’m feeling peckish at the moment. Started my fasting this morning. Heh! 🙂 😇 (You know the ones who use the halo emoji are the least likely to have one, right?) 🤣

Thanks for the thread. Here’s a show to enjoy by sucking it dry with wild guesses and deductions LOL. 😝 🤣

  2. Kalimera!

    Thank you @Packmule3!

Let us enjoy the episode tonight!

  3. Hello pm3, Cleo, GB 🙂

@GB let’s see if the question is a matter of where not when 🙂 About 30 minutes to go! Normally available at 9pm my time.

  4. Kalimera @Viva!

I do hope you are okay!

  5. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Viva, what do you mean 30 minutes more to go? Will you get the Show dropping for you now, at this moment?

  6. Thanks @Cleo! A bit busy with work and family so harder to find time to watch TV lately. I am sure I will catch up once I found time haha!

Yes @GB it is available for me now. I refreshed Disney + a few times last week and worked out they drop it at 9pm NZT. I got distracted and will head to watch now.

  7. It’s fun to make all these wild guesses and deductions, isn’t it @GB? The more, the merrier. There are no adverse consequences if we get the answer incorrect. 🙂

  8. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Episode 3 – we get answers/revelations to explain 1 person’s motives. The others still remain a mystery.

It was great watching the partnership at work. LOL people think that Sae Ha is married and badly henpecked.

So it wasn’t that Sae Ha had history with Sae Byeok but instead with Choi. Interesting. I wonder if she knows who he is.

Our Security Guy still makes more appearances.

Music was so suspenseful/stress-inducing that I had to watch without sound. LOL.

  9. Did the security guy call back Ms Choi to confirm if she has entered the room?

Someone continuously provided Killer Kim food and money in the dentist place. That’s why he keeps going back. Probably the Ghost.

Killer K was almost arrested. Then the scene was rewind and gave the Ghost a chance to rescue him. So that means the event needs to happen first before the Ghost corrects it to her intended outcome. In this case, she locked Killer Kim up. My guess is to prevent greater harm Killer Kim may cause.

Someone else who sent the Ghost the missions, probably is watching the many versions of life in a security room. Just like the security guy monitoring the building. That person erases an event and rebuild to his/her desired outcome. In my mind, not that dissimilar to SH erase events through his hacking skills.

If building on this logic, the earth probably was destroyed first, and the Ghost went back to fix it by building the grid.

So SH’s father was a janitor and the Ghost killed him. They answered why SH was looking for her but throw us a new question. Why? Probably for the greater good? His position is a Janitor, but why him? Because of his skills, because who he was related to, or because of his job?

As to why SB wasn’t dead, is it because the Ghost got weaker? I recalled in ep 2 the Ghost said she had a lot of time, but her DNA says otherwise.

We also learn that 1997 is when the Grid was set up. So, it is ready in 2004 for the solar wind. It took 7 years to build.

  10. Anneyong!

I have to say that Episode 3 gave us some answers on why SaeHa wanted frantically to learn about The Ghost.

What striked me is the following: the Bureau’s Team Leader was calling :
The Ghost: Alpha and the Killer : Beta, which that shows that they know something we don’t yet.

If The Ghost came back to Earth after the catastrophe to alter Earth’s History by building up the Grid from 1997 to 2004, that means our assumptions she was not the only one is true.

The Killer must be from the future Earth that came back for some reason we don’t know yet. I think she imprisoned him, in order not to reveal data from their world and reality.

I still believe that SaeHa is important to the Ghost. I am not that sure that the Ghost actually killed his janitor father in such a horrible way leaving deliberately not only his son, but a witness. We didn’t actually see the killer’s face, only the persona with the hoodie.

So my question is this? Was she really the killer? Was that an edition of The Ghost from another – now erased – timeline?

IF she was the one who build the Grid similtaneously around the Globe.
Could there be another one like her that messed up the job the first time around?
I am talking about the identity of the killer of SaeHa’s father.

I still continue to believe that SaeHa and Sae-Byeok are important to her.
Bringing them together is not by accident.

Maybe…just maybe. Are they her parents?

    Questions…Questions…
I think we are going to find more about it…

  11. I’m going to watch it this weekend.
I’m in a total rush of screenwriting, I barely have time to take a shower.
In addition to the corrections of W s2, I almost finished a first 30 minutes episode of Alien Surgeon. I’ve completely corrected the first 16 scenes, now well written, with scenes that smash in the rest of the episode. Yo! ^^

  12. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @WE, I’m pleased to know that you’re back in your screenwriting element!! It’s wonderful when the creative juices start flowing, isn’t it?

Remember in slightly over 24 hours from now, it will be ‘W’ Rewatch time!!

  13. @Cleo, just wondering why do you think the Ghost is not the only one who came back? Do you think Killer Kim knows the Ghost and that’s why he followed her?

Do you mean there are a few versions of the Ghost? 🙂 One is kinder than another?

I will pop over and read up on W too! I watched W last year so it is relatively fresh. It is one of the shows I want to rewatch but I will try to finish JBL rewatch first. I found the logic makes sense to me and I jotted down 5 principles myself. I thought the characters usually spell out the logic to confirm.

  14. Hey @Viva,

Sorry for answering to you so late. I kinda missed your comment.

Yes, for me that is possible, since The Ghost was called “Alpha” and the Killer “Beta” from that the Bureau chief.

Why did they call them like that? I think it was significant, for their in between relationship!

I also remember someone in the trailer, before Grid was released, that said he had experience the catastrophe. That means someone has seen the outcome of the solar flare.

About The Ghost. We can assume that the Ghost tried several times to install the Grid. Some were not successful. The one time she was successful, Earth was saved.

IF The Ghost was the one who indeed killed SaeHa’s father and not another one.

Then something must have happened in the sequence of events in that timeline that are not adding up, because that reality was erased after the Grid’s successful installation.

I am not that sure that The Ghost killed SaeHa’s dad in that cold way.
If she did, we -the viewers- are missing something.
So, we need to see that IF she acted that way and what that means for us.

  15. I wonder if the criminal could be something like Ghost father.
Episode 3 we get a nice scene, not exactly a time rewind, but the situation goes bad for the criminal… Then we goes back before in the metro, then the ghost appear. We understand easely the situation.
Chase : very nervous, lot lot lot of very short scenes, shot on a team, criminal, heroin, etc…

  16. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE are you referring to the Vietnamese film, ‘Ghost Father’? I have not watched it.

Do you mean that the Ghost is ‘saving’ a father or her father?

Yes, the chase scene had all the elements of suspense. Shaky camera following the action and music that is stress inducing. As the commentary for the hearing impaired tells us ‘foreboding music’. I like how it ended with Killer shouting 4 levels down in the tunnel while at each level there were their own noises til we reach the sky.

This is one of those shows whose OSTs are great for the show but which I won’t want to listen to on their own.

  17. @GB, no, just the relationship. A line in the episode jumped to my ears, our couple of heroes ask themselves : what is the relationship Criminal/Ghost.
So I added this to my hypothesis, there is something personnal. It’s why she save him and don’t interfere with some others aspects, like his murder. How now? Maybe he will give birth to her soon, so he need to meet her mother? Or just something else. I’m not sure this guy is part of her official missions.
The BGM… I’m so tired that I didn’t notice something. Maybe it will need to listen to this while working and check if there is something good. I remember there is some nice parts and effectives ones for the action. To say if it’s good for just listening, I can’t say.

  18. Kalimera Everyone!

    @We,

I don’t think that the Killer is The Ghost’s father. He can be an accomplish yes, but not a blood related person.

I have already commented on that above and my hypothesis is that SaeHa and Sae-byeok could be her birth parents.

  19. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Episode 4 – Ooh developments! An unexpected twist at the end.

We see that Boss Choi is belatedly wondering what happened to the janitor’s son.

We find out how Sae Byeok and Eo Jin were related.

Laughably, Sae Byeok’s down-to-earth, hitting the pavement way of investigating gives results as good as and about as quickly as Sae Ha’s tapping on the computer to get the data. I like the few scenes they are together and wish they had more opportunities to work together. I don’t see them as romantic partners so much as comrades.

We find that when the Ghost does not know exactly when to turn back time to, she has to reverse it several times over and over to arrive at the right moment.

As long as the AB departments refuse to share info and work together, they’ll not progress. SB and SH got as far as they did because they decided to trust each other and share.

The question asked backwards and forwards is, if the Ghost killed one person, why not the others like SB and the AB agent on the roof whom she knocked out. She used the same device that emitted an electric charge, but she can obviously reduce the charge so that it only causes a surface burn. The the question turns the other way, why was the janitor so deliberately killed, if she could have just knocked him unconscious.

However she left the child, Sae Ha alone after killing the father. There’s something about him or of his that she might need. I did wonder why the AB didn’t figure out that SH was the child of the janitor, and this episode gives the answer.

  20. Episode 4

    Motives for the Ghost

So…if SH’s birth parents aren’t the janitor couple, that can give us more motives why the Ghost killed them. (assumed the wife is also killed at the end of episode 4). The janitor is not any janitor but worked at the same facility as Ms Choi.

The events that lead to the adoption of the 1 year old SH may be the reasons why the Ghost wanted to kill them. The Ghost don’t always kill, so what the janitor did must be strong enough to do so. It could be to do with SH’s dead parents. It could be to do with something he has seen when collecting the rubbish in AB.

I don’t think the Ghost is SH’s mum though. No mum would kill in front of her child. She personally mustn’t care much about SH. It is cold and cruel to give a young child such traumatic experience.

Who are SH’s birth parents? Why did SH change his name from Lee Si Won? Someone must want to hide his identity. Why would there be no one to look after the young Si Won and had him stayed in the storeroom. Where would be his stepmother? Or did the janitor just want to keep him close?

    And more questions…
    1. Why EJ moved from the Grid Control team to Ms Choi’s team? It seems to be because of SB.
    2. What did SB need to do her job that leads to their breakup?
    3. Why didn’t the Ghost adjust time again so she won’t bump into SH at the end of the episode?

It’s getting to a stage that there are many questions, but not that huge a revelation each time. I am glad that there are only 10 episodes. Otherwise it is hard to keep that suspense on why the Ghost decided to kill the janitor and saved a murderer.

  21. Just ended episode 4.
Great scene when the ghost go back several times back in time facing the prison cell of the assassin. And undo his escape.
And good cliffhanger, with the small detail, she checks her glasses once outside, just… you know, it’s so cool!!! 🙂
