  1. Thank you @Packmule3,

I am waiting for these episodes tonight…

  2. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Thanks @pkml3. Yes,… that’s the information we want the Show to give us or allow us to deduce with reliable clues 😉

Hi @Cleo, I am not yet certain if I’ll watch the episodes tonight. I may go to sleep early instead! In the midst of the formation retreat now. 🙂

  3. @GB Unnie,

Take your time…You can comment whenever you can! *Hugs*

  4. Ack. Just posted to the earlier thread. I’m done.

  5. Kalimera!

I haven’t managed to watch anything yesterday… So, I cannot comment yet!

  6. Kalispera,

B.O.D. STATUS: …Is Annoyed At the Location Home 🤨😐😑😶😉

Just watched Episodes 7+8. Here are my first thoughts.

I was pretty sure that the Director Lee would do something to make YS to not be sure about herself and as a result for Cha MinHu.
She has to deal with that self fulfilling prophecy thingy, in order to live in the present, no matter what.

Also, I find very annoying that she didn’t want to talk with MH when he wanted to fixed the misunderstanding. Seriously, woman. Talk with the other to hear what the other has to say. I feel at times, that YeSool is a child as well.

The bad team manager is spreading doubts and havoc in Planning Team #1…Seriously, are they going to leave him doing such a damage?

Also, I knew from the moment I saw that finger clipping, that the guy was not that innocent…He is…the culprit from the past.

JiYoung is a spoiled brat. Seriously, she doesn’t know if someone says NO, that is a NO?

We are left with a cliffhanger…*sighs*

  7. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @Cleo, a short comment… I agree with everything you say… however I missed the finger clipping… what does that refer to?

    Episodes 7 and 8

    *SPOILERS*

At this stage, Hong Ye Seul seems to be an anti-heroine ie in terms of being a FL that I find hard to get behind. She is creating the situations that lead to suffering for the other party she’s dating and for herself as well. She runs away instead of confronting truths and communicating. She gives up without trying other alternatives.

All we know is that she likely fell into the water (at Noel Orphanage?? It has a pond, and Dr Oh says that Cha Min Hu suddenly developed symptoms at the pond. It is probably linked to YS’s falling into water) and has forgotten some traumatic experience.

Her mother does not want to reveal what happened to her, thinking that if she does not remember, it’s better. I’m never sure of the wisdom of this. Probably being prepared, having a counselor to speak to, and being allowed to confront and resolve painful truths might be better. She seems to need some kind of healing.

Her predisposition to avoid dealing with relationships by throwing herself into work, to the extent that she does not sleep for days, and collapses, is a pattern she repeats. She causes people like MH worry, since she will not take care of herself.

Just after of finding out that she misinterpreted her ‘prediction’ of Lee Pil Yo’s future, she again prefers to just think what she wants, even when MH tells her that she misunderstands the situation with OJY. That’s another self-destructive repeating the pattern that leads to depression, over-drinking and all possible pitfalls that come with that.

Cha Min Hu remembers what happened to her and also does not dare to tell her what she has forgotten. I gather this from his conversation with Dr Oh.

How her traumatic experience may explain why she has her strange ability, and whether it is linked to why she keeps ghosting people instead of giving them a chance to explain, is what I’m watching Show for now.

Show will have to give us a good backstory to her, so that I(we) will be sympathetic. For some reason, she’s hell-bent on sabotaging herself in relationships and over overwork.

And now, out of the blue, we have someone stealing YS’s photo of her father and stalking her to kidnap her? *as if the complications in work and relationships are not enough … eyeroll*

OJY has become a totally unsympathetic character. Her bratty, immature behaviour, intentional attempt to harm MH’s relationship with YS, and extreme selfishness with her kissing MH when she knows clearly what it will do to him, has me tossing her to bottom of the barrel for now. Let’s see if she ever redeems herself.

I kind of sympathise with Pil Yo. YS didn’t give him a chance in the past and again, now. He’s truly a nice guy, seeing that he is willing to forgive all that hurt and patiently hopes to win her back. Sadly, he’s the second lead and won’t get the girl.

I guess YS has to have another big trauma or some kind of epiphany (or goes for therapy) before she makes some changes to stop destroying her own happiness.

  9. @GB, you explained well why I am having a hard time relating to these characters. Somehow in the last 2 episodes I have become disenchanted with the main characters.

I completely think the mother is incorrect about not revealing the story behind YS’s watery dreams. It make me think she may be hiding something for her own peace of mind as well as for YS. I wonder if it has to do with the father’s death? There was a road running along the lake at the orphanage and there may have been an ‘accident’. The older adults who knew him professionally talk about him as though they know what happened, but are not specific, and it’s tied in with the vehicle brand as well.

  10. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@Fern, I feel you’ve hit on something here!!! Yes, there was something that happened with YS and her dad. There was mention of an accident which might be a car accident and it may have involved a Mopix.

The car may have been hit and fell into the water. We see that both she and her dad were in hospital pyjamas. She kissed him in hospital and foresaw his death.

I saw a comment that her mum in the manhwa was not a great character. Goodness knows what she’s about. She has her own exhibition and her own love life away from SKorea.

I’d like to know if we can justify the way YS is now by what happened to her in the past.

  11. I just finished up to ep. 8 and I feel that culprit is Mopix owner. Did she actually see something happened between her father and that old guy? And why is he hell bent on her if their issue was just between them guys.

Anyhow, I find it refreshing to watch a no-nonsense FL & ML in a romance drama. They are being adult not overly doing those cringey aegyo. Yes, she has flaws which make her close to reality, where ppl ain’t perfect 😂 she is trying to get her own time to recaliberate, I guess… cos things are happening all at the same time… she speedily got into a relationship with MH with no uncertainty and then PY came. And then she got to know she made a mistake… I guess it was all too much for her to be happening all at the same time …

I find PY and JY so very irritating… so very clingy and reminded me of that someone who wanna convince me to like him but failed miserably. Both of them just needa to move on.

Yes, agree with everyone, that YS and MH have a past that connects them.

So MH likes YS first and girl is so oblivious as a result of her own unhappy experience. I like how he just keep her at arms lenght yet care for her, be that shoulder for her to cry on whenever she needs it.

  12. I haven’t rewatched Ep 8, @miracle23, so I still haven’t decided on the bad guy.

It could be the Mopix owner. He looked suspicious when he learned of the connection between the YS and the Director of the success ad.

But it could also be the ahjussi bar owner of “Que Sera Sera.” He had the same mannerism of snapping his fingers. 🙂 He’s about the same age as YS’s dad. And he’s overheard a lot from the conversation between YS and her cousin to know where they lived and when they were in the house.

The second female lead JY — I consider her a necessary evil. The writer of this kdrama is amateurish in that sense. The writer still employs the old tired trope of second female lead as a spiteful character hell-bent on creating havoc. So nothing she does truly annoy me. To be honest, I pity the actress. She must have accepted this role because this was her biggest break/her meatiest role thus far. If she had clout in the entertainment world, she could have asked for a script revision to make her character’s evilness even a wee bit justifiable. But nope. She’s just a stock character.

Kinda like the Wicked Stepsisters characters in fairy tales. When an actress is given that role, she knows she’s playing a stereotype.

  13. https://ibb.co/3WLBbkY

Oh no! You may be right, pm3. I never thought it would be him…like why??? 😢😢😢

Yeah, I guess JY is needed to add that necessary conflicts. I went to check on the webtoon, it seems they did a lot of changes for the drama. And I like the drama version more 🤭🤭🤭

  14. Is the webtoon finished? I didn’t check it because it’s a foregone conclusion that YS and MH will end together.

    Thanks for taking the screenshots.

🙂 I don’t know the ahjussi’s motives. All I really know is three people snapped their fingers at YS while she was daydreaming, in Ep 7 and 8.

One, YS’s temporary boss, the female one
    Two, the ahjussi bar owner
    Three, the kidnapper-to-be

    But the kidnapper is male.

I happen to think that snapping fingers to call attention is rude so I noticed those characters’ mannerism. 😂

  15. Yes webtoon is finished for S1, with MH x YS ended up together. It is stated that they are working on S2.😊

  16. Kalispera @Packmule3!

Regarding the conversation you are having with @miracle23, the bar ahjussi is the same man who broke in into YeSool’s house and the one who is trying to abduct her.

We don’t know what happened for sure in the past. We do know that YeSool and MinHu had an accident. We do know that YS’s father was in the hospital afterwards with her.

Mopix CEO is not involved with that. He might know though what happened then. As @GB Unnie has pointed before, her mother is not saying the truth to her daughter about the past and her recurring dream.

I suppose the finger flicking has a meaning. Min Hu, on Episode’s 9 preview, is going to listen the sound as well and from his expression something rings a bell.

  17. Hi BoDs – just caught up with you guys on Kiss Sixth Sense, episode 8. As I’ve said before, I don’t like the drip-feed of on-going series, so try to wait until they are close to finishing and then binge 🙂

Firstly, I agree with @GB in an earlier post that this series has many similarities to Gogh, Starry Night (aka Go Ho: Starry Night). In that series, the boss was often mean because of emotional pain: the female subordinate he really liked was involved with someone else (who didn’t deserve her). In Kiss Sixth Sense, I think MH is often mean because he’s in physical pain ie. his hypersensitivity to sensory input. When he feels less pain, for example after kissing YS, he’s noticeably less grouchy.

Like some others have commented, I also think MH’s looks do not fit the standard handsome ML model, but I like that! Too often, especially in Chinese series, the ML who is a CEO or President is too young and cute to properly look the part. MH definitely looks the part of an older, experienced and successful manager/director.

@Cleopatra I also loved MH’s condition for sleeping with YS – she first had to agree to date him. Yes! Good to see that the man takes intimacy seriously ie. as part of a meaningful relationship. I also like that he later added another ‘article’ to their agreement – he would be the one to initiate the future event when he chose to kiss her. Gotta love a man who initiates!

BTW, does anyone else find it strange that MH appears to have had other intimate relationships? He was surprised when YS told him that she took off her own clothes in her vision of them in bed. He said “he normally undresses them”. For a man who winces with pain when he kisses and touches someone, I’m surprised he’s undressed anyone!

@PM3 my initial thought, like you, was that the kidnapper is the owner of Que Sera Sera. I didn’t notice the finger-snapping – good observation. Another possibility is Dr. Oh, who would have easy access to ether. I just think it has to be someone who has known YS for some time – it would be poor story-writing to bring in a completely new character as the baddie half-way through the series.

  18. PS. The Dr. Oh I was referring to as the possible kidnapper is the older man – JiYoung’s father. Not the Dr. Oh who is MH’s friend. (Are the two Dr Oh’s related?) The older Dr Oh (JY’s father) helped young MH after some accident led to his hypersensitivity, so it’s possible the father also knew YS from that time?

  19. @Rebecca,

I think MH lied when he told YS that he undressed the girls. YS assumed that he was experienced, so he didn’t correct her and just went along with it.

But he hadn’t dated before. The only girl he ever kissed was the bratty JY, and JY forced herself on him.

Besides, all throughout the five years he’d known YS, he had the same haircut bowl haircut and thick nerdy glasses. He changed hairstyle and ditched the glasses only after he decided to date YS. If he had dated another girl during that time period, he would’ve cleaned up himself for her, too.

No. I ruled out Dr Oh as abductor because he wouldn’t have any interest in YS and her father’s photograph. If he were to break into YS’ house, it would be to steal an item belonging to HoWoo, not Yesool. 😂 Besides, he didn’t snap his fingers.

  20. Ahhh…

But Dr Oh had no clue who MH was seeing. He didn’t know who YS was, and wanted JY to reveal the girlfriend’s identity.

Also given MH’s extra sensory perceptions, if Dr Oh was the one who broke into the house, MH should have found the burglar familiar. The scent, gait, or shadowy outline of Dr Oh should have been easily recognizable to MH. 🙂

  21. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@pkml3 Episodes 9 and 10 were better. The older Dr Oh does know MH’s past and that he and YS were kids together. YS’s mum also remembers him and the past perfectly well. YS will have to find out sooner or later, the past that is being hidden from her.

The other corners of the triangles are finally becoming less clingy and take solace in each other’s company instead.

The office dates were fun, since they creatively made use of MH’s super sensory abilities. But the attempts to make the night of intimacy happen according to the prediction were cringe-worthy, and shows why it’s so much better that we do not have foreknowledge.

It’s interesting that MH did that unfinished painting together with YS. Show suggests (from how the camera focused on the painting) that they finally finished it by what happens in the bedroom. Poor Jackson.

We still see actress Kim Min Hee, but she looks very wan. Is it makeup or is it a sign of something else, that may have ended up with her passing? I’ve been wondering to what extent she completed all her scenes. I’ll be sad to no longer see her, but show seems to have prepared for that possibility/eventuality, since her character wrote a letter of resignation.

  22. Kalispera!

    I just finished Episodes 9 & 10 and…I am happy…*sighs*

  23. Kalimera @GB Unnie,

It is not known what exactly happenned and Kim Mi-soo passed away so unexpectedly.
Her Agency just informed the public about the fact. They only said not to make assumptions about her condition or lack therefore.

I was happy that they were happy and we got to see some swooning moments. Still, next Wednesday are the last two episodes and hopefully we get to see what actually happened in the past.

  24. Kalo mesimeri Ladies!

This week is the last one for our KISS!

So here is the song we have been waiting for!
