@PM3, did you watch Sh**ting Stars? That too was based off the original French show called “call my agent”.
I enjoyed that one (apart from dull 1st episode) and will definitely watch “call my agent” cos I liked that story….just surprised that two such similar shows are coming out fairly closely apart.

@MrsRJH1 – oh so “shooting stars” was a remake of “call my agent”?. i did watch that show and liked it. i don’t think it was pure comedy though. more drama. i want funny. “bad prosecutor” has funny moments… but such a suspenseful show for the most part.
i’ll check this show out as well.

No, I didn’t watch Sh**ting Stars. But I see it’s on a Netflix now. I may give it a try since many of the shows on Viki I watch in the US are now tagged as “not licensed” for the region I’m in. 🙁 Only Netflix seems to be reliable.
@PM3 yes I defo recco it, though it probably has the worst, most boring and confusing first episode I’ve ever seen. The good reviews kept me watching and then it was adorable! Lots of warmth and I’d pretty much be smiling throughout.
@HK_lady, according to a couple of articles I read, they said it was inspired by or based off of the French show Call My Agent eg (https://www.forbes.com/sites/joanmacdonald/2022/04/25/shting-stars-explores-the-complex-co-dependency-of-stars-and-agents/amp/) However, I haven’t watched the original French show. Totally with you on watching funnier shows – I just can’t watch any sadness or strife at this moment in time.
I really enjoyed the peek behind the scenes this show (and shows like Be Melodramatic) offer about working in the K-ent world.

@MrsRJH1, I watched Sh**ting Stars and enjoyed it. Recently I’ve been seeing ‘shorts’ on YouTube of some of the funniest scenes from it.

I watched Ep 1 and about 3/4th done with Ep 2 and one word can sum up this drama: stressful.
I can’t relate to the characters — except maybe Lee SeoJin’s character, Ma TaeOh.
All the others colleagues are disorganized, deceitful and unethical. Especially the newest addition to the company, that manager-wanna-be from Busan. She should have been dismissed (and sued) when she rifled through Ma TaeOh’s files and stole the script.
@packmule3, I thought about starting it. If it’s another case of ‘finders, keepers’ like Little Women, I would be uncomfortable, too. I’ll wait to see what others say.
I’m thinking of starting Gaus Electronics belatedly because I heard it was funny.
Where can I watch “Gaus Electronics”? Viki?
Maybe I’m just not into black comedy so “Call My Agent” aka “Behind Every Star” is not clicking.
It’s very much unlike “Today’s Webtoon.” TW was very idealistic, e.g., the PDs were in it because they believe in their artists; they want to do right by them; their egos take second place; they work as a team and display camaraderie.
In CMA, it’s every man for himself.
Good morning, @packmule3. I have access problems with Viki sometimes, too. I can find Gaus on the streaming site Dramacool, but I don’t know where it is for those who don’t like to use Dramacool. My daughter used some computer hocus-pocus to take the ads off the site for me, so I can stand to use it for those dramas I can’t get on other sites available to me here.
That gif of Park Hyun Sik makes me giggle every time. I saw a comment by the FL saying, no, it’s nothing personal with her – he’s like that with EVERYONE. Made me laugh. I thought he was outstanding in ‘Happiness’.
I’ve watched Shooting Stars too and I enjoyed it. ☺️ It was an easy watch.
I liked the scene when she finally confronted him about liking her and then the kiss. 🥰
