  1. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @pkml3, thanks for the thread! However a little correction, it’s Saturday April 15th, 2023. 😆

  2. Hello, I’m here today!!

  3. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hello @WE, I know I can depend on you!!! See you in 7 hours’ time!

  4. Hi GB. So it’s not my only drama currently. I had to make a break with writing because I’m a bit exhausted after working too much on it. That took me 2 weeks just for episode 31. It was a difficult one. But I fear to do less good quality if I insist.

I tried to watch things but dropped a lot. Dropped “glory of special forces”, dropped “Love all play”. But I’m currently hooked on “Nice guy”. So I’ll finish this drama. Maybe watch another one after? I don’t know yet. At one point, some anguish will crawl under my mind, the need to continue writing and finish.

  5. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE are you referring to the old kdrama ‘Nice Guy’ or ‘The Innocent Man’ with Song Joong Ki and Moon Chae Won? I watched it so many years ago.

Taking a break from pursuits like writing is good. Maybe you can get fresh impetus or new angles for your ideas. I take frequent breaks from over-thinking.

  6. @GB, yes, this drama. I like very much dramas from this era. The love stories are way more believable. Even when plots have some unrealistics things. The musical theme of this one is good, that help too. A bit same feeling than “Queen of ambition”.

Oh, I see you have an over-thinking addiction? lol! Speaking of something else. Do you have an idea for a next rewatch?

  7. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, I was about to ask you the same question. I wondered if we are happy to continue with another show for another rewatch. I do not have any other show for sure at the moment.

I know at one time we tossed about a few names of shows like One Day or Someday (time travel cdrama), My Mister (Healing drama), Queen In-Hyun’s Man…

I have not watched Glitch (Comedy, Thriller, Mystery, Sci-Fi) yet. Do you know if it’s any good?

    Do you have any suggestions?

  8. hi all. I am here. Rainy morning. Snow (!) forecast for tomorrow. Ready (almost — more coffee) to start.

  9. Liar game season 2, but I hope it doesn’t make me people run away.

Someday one day, sure not, I even dropped that.
    My mister, never watched.

Glitch? First time I hear about that.

  10. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @SD! I’m just waking from a nap, myself. Brain was tired.

@WE… also we tossed about kdrama’Nine: 9 Times Travel’ as a possible rewatch candidate.

  11. Hi sattleddust!

  12. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Let’s continue chatting about the next rewatch afterwards… it’s time to start this rewatch now!!!

  13. We see as important, the geek guy wears “Snaps-Snaps”.

  14. Hi @GB and @WE. Morning! I have not watched Nine: 9 Times Travel but it is on my to watch list. I watched MOA in a rush and now am ‘rewatching’ with you so would be amenable.

  15. @WE, I noticed that as well. IT guy totally oblivious to societal norms. Nice touch.

  16. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, I wondered why the camera focused on Yang Ju’s slippers. It showed he was running out in the middle of his work and intended to make just a quick trip… but in the end he stayed quite a long while.

    LOL. He even got jealous.

  17. Hi, good morning! Am sort of here. I rewatched episode 13 late last night because I have some conflicts this morning. Will try to stay with your comments.

  18. Just made it here.

  19. There is too jaleous guys.
One for Hee Juu. The other for Emma.
    But JinWoo gets both, ahaha.

  20. Hi Lootie and feifei.

  21. Hi @feifei and @Lootie Lyn.

  22. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @FF and @LL, good to see you both!

LOL I’m at the point where Yang Ju is jealous that JW is dating Hee Ju (the real human) just because YJ likes Emma (the virtual game character).

We get to hear the by the way piece of news about what Emma does or prevents, that happens to be very important.

  23. Hi WE, the IT guy is so smiiten with HJ.

  24. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Actually Se Ju’s making his big sister the peacekeeper ‘Emma’ makes sense. She was probably the one who kept the peace at home between the siblings.

  25. Why Emma was at this café. As Hee Ju was working here and playing guitar.

  26. @WE I do like this scene in the sandwich shop. All the jealousy is shown in subtle facial changes and the pauses in dialog. Not overt. The fun of a rewatch is you have the time/inkling to notice.

  27. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

And we launch once again into JW’s guesswork and putting 2-and-2 together after listening to Hee Ju’s experiences in Alcazaba.

    Back into JW’s voiceover thoughts.

  28. @Salteddust. Yeah, it’s called “subtext”, and not easy to write as you never think enough about that. Natural way is to put dialogs.

  29. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

While we have a light-hearted start with real people being jealous in Subway, we jump into a heavy scene with what might possibly have happened between Se Ju and Marco in Alcazaba cafe. While one scene ends off with food and good advice, the other deteriorates into a stabbing and fight to the death…. taking place in the virtual-real dimension.

  30. And now happens the paradox. A crime that Emma can’t stop because it’s not virtual weapon. But it’s trigger the bug and phenomenon. Paranormal phenomenon. As if Emma wan’t also prevent a real life crime. So virtual and real merge. Goosebump!!

  31. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, yes, that sounds like the right reason for the bug to kick in. Emma couldn’t stop the violence and went into overdrive scanning all the areas where Marco and Se Ju were ‘fighting’ to stop them.

Now we enter from one guesswork scene into a flashback of HJ in the hotel looking at Emma.

  32. Every time I see Lee Jae-Wook as Marco I am realize what a good actor he is. He is So unlikable here.

  33. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@SD, true. I don’t know him outside of this show, but seeing him elsewhere will show his range.

  34. Oh shit, I forgot. All that was flashback. In real we are with professor Cha, end of previous episode. At minute 18. LOL!!

  35. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE… With the real stabbing, the virtual world was superimposed on the real world but it took on a greater reality in that game weapons really could kill. It was a mistake for Se Ju to leave Alcazaba Café without at least letting everyone know that he’d been stabbed. If he’d stayed put, Emma could have protected him, and the other customers. At least Marco would not have died, since neither of them would have been able to take out a virtual gun.

  36. @GB. I like that reasoning. Although the glitchiness might have continued. Marco would not have died that quickly anyway.

  37. @GB, yeah of course, if he stays in the café, he will be protected by Emma. But the problem is: he have no idea what happens, and that a crazy phenomenon is happening, so once out, virtual weapons will be as deadly as real one. ahha.

  38. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE Kim Eui Sung the actor playing Prof Cha totally changes from the arrogant professor to a terrified and horrified father, watching his bloody, murderous son ‘die’ in front of him. Suddenly his good friend and surrogate son, JW, is shooting NPC Hyun Seok and assassins like a pro.

His stunned, drooping mouth was so outstanding.

  39. The new contents really start from Prof Cha making his escape from the campus. all prior scenes are re-caps.

  40. Super cool sniper scene. Rule of cool!!!

  41. @GB, Yeah, now pr Cha is Jin-Woo little pussy. ahah!!

  42. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@SD, yes, everyone would have not died if the boys had just stayed to argue in the cafe.

Similarly, Prof Cha should not have called HS’s name in the lecture hall. He should have just watched HS attack JW and seen how HS had to be shot dead from a distance. It was a nightmare to have been the target of his ‘son’ and then to be fleeing from assassins when he had no weapon or game expertise.

  43. @GB, had Se Ju stayed in the Cafe I think he would have died because Marco stabbed him with a real weapon. Emma can only make the virtual weapons disappear but cannot make real weapon disappear.

  44. Emma and HJ meeting also has weird overtones. Emma is so perfectly HJ. Like meeting a clone of yourself, a seemingly ‘real’ you. And the shot of each of their eyes looking at one another has that aspect of a mirror with another mirror directly opposite where you can see reflections ad infinitum and reality seems blurred.

  45. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF yes, that’s right. It took such a long build-up of flashbacks and guesswork before we got into the ‘real’ stuff of the next episode.

  46. @WE @GB, your explanations make sense re Emma being the peacemaker and going into overdrive to stop the violence. I didn’t understand this on first watch.

  47. Cool thing I missed previous watching: there is a clear explanation with Jin Woo don’t limp in the game. With camera image, he still limps!!

  48. @Lootie, this drama is fucking difficult to get. More difficult than W in my opinion. Well, not sure because I rewatched W much more. But I feel it like that.

  49. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, the effect of the bug was multi-fold
    1) real people get sucked into the virtual world that takes precedence even without the lens.
2)the one ‘killed’ would continually return to haunt the ‘killer’.
    3) virtual weapons will be as deadly as real ones.

  50. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, I was depending on the real customers coming forward to help Se Ju, if only he would call for help. He should have done more in self-defence from the beginning but he ran out first before turning a gun on Marco.

  51. But I don’t feel frustrated like with Grid or TKEM because in the end, we can get everything from SJJ drama. Only it’s difficult.
She play a little too much on: it’s better to not explain because audience like to guess by themselves. At one point, without enough clues or too difficult to get ones, most of the audience gives up.

  52. I just noticed in the scene with Prof that it is the same change in the music when an ally is getting attached. That cello? lick, picking up speed. Nice touch.

  53. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@SD, besides Emma and HJ meeting each other, this ep is one where all the ladies appear and we can juxtapose them.

  54. @GB, ha I forgot that there are real customers in the cafe. Only remembers the virtual world.

  55. It’s a drama for the elite over-thinkers like GB. 🙂

  56. @WE, exactly when it gets too difficult audience give up.

  57. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    @WE You said:
“there is a clear explanation with Jin Woo don’t limp in the game. With camera image, he still limps!!”
    – which part did you see that in camera image he still limps?

  58. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@SD, yes the musical clues/cues are good in this show.

  59. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    @WE, not just over-thinking… over-watching… over-note taking LOL.

Now at last Park the whimpering one realises that JW was telling the truth all along and he’d not believed him.

  60. The 3d associate (sorry I don’t remember the name). He’s the guy worried and can’t believe it’s true. Well, it’s why he’s here. And now, even pr Cha say it’s TRUE. This guy go crazy now… Have to believe it’s true now?!!
I said that before, but this guy is like an alter-ego for audience, about how scary and awesome all is this, and how you feel if you would meet something so crazy in your life. Could you believe it?

  61. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, the challenge in shows like this is trying to unearth the hidden gems.

Poor JW’s investigation cannot be called off… we only start to realise why much later. It is because of the horrible Yu Ra!!!

  62. @GB, a short flashback in the hospital, in a previous scene (grenada hospital). He’s in the game and doesn’t limp. But the people watching the CCTV see him limp in real (and giving blow in the air with a non visible sword of course)

  63. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, that’s interesting… so when in the game, only on camera can he look as in reality with a limp, but in reality when people see him walking, it’s without a limp. That’s so strange.

The camera catches the truth! The game tricks real eyes!

  64. She can see him with wounds for the first time.

  65. @GB NOOOO, the opposite. He doesn’t limp in the game. But if you check reality (with cam), he limps!!

  66. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, I wondered why they give us such a long scene of HJ walking … unlike the other females who stay put or go out to cause trouble, she walks out to find and help JW. The long walk is her quest to save the one she’s fallen in love with.

The sight of him in a ‘tattered’ condition bring tears to her eyes. Well sincere tears are her signature for how much she cares.

  67. Tourist guide ability of Hee Ju provide a KEY element. 🙂

  68. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    @WE, yes that’s what I meant anyway.

But it’s amazing that the game convinces a person that he is not limping when he is!!! What a scary taking over of one’s mind that bug could do.

Now the important piece of info: HJ tells JW about the Hand of Fatima. Over and over again, HJ saves JW while not realising that she is doing so.

  69. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

LOL @WE, the key element is key info … HJ knows of it but cannot see it in JW’s hand. So now JW knows that the quest is to place the key into Emma/Fatima’s hand.

  70. I missed that previous watching. This drama require a John Wick level of concentration. lol.

  71. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

The wrong idea that Se Ju was in the dungeon had been planted by Yang Ju but he was wrong.

Now we jump back to the shooting by Se Ju and Marco is some woods outside Granada town.

SJ shot blindly but somehow killed Marco. However he always denied killing Marco.

  72. It’s very intricated with what SJJ saw when she was on holiday in spain and various things on her touristic tour. Masterfull!

  73. Real time events in this episode: 10 minutes. LOL.

  74. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Since Cha never met SJ, he must have received the rights to enter the game from Marco even before this deal-making meeting that in the end never took place.

WE see that JW actually expected to be able to hand the key to Emma in his hotel room. But things took a drastic turn.

  75. HJ is going to save JW again with her car.

  76. I don’t remember JinWoo give the key in a hostel room but in a church.
What is it? He imagines he could give her the key here? It’s imagination scene?
But later, it’s impossible and he ask the geek to put Emma elsewhere: in a church.

  77. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

It occurs to me that this episode we can contrast Yu Ra’s fake smiles in front of the camera, which turns into an unpleasant expression once the camera stops rolling, with Su Jin who’s genuinely anxious, in front of the one way mirror in the police interrogation room, with HJ who’s sincerely concerned in front of JW, and Emma who is totally placid and objective.

  78. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, yup, HJ does things without realising that she’ll keep saving JW. She appears ‘weak’ but ends up doing the important stuff.

So how are we for Liar Game 2 Rewatch once MOTA rewatch ends?

  79. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, yes that was just his imagination about how he only had to place the key in Emma’s hand. The reality was different because of what Yu Ra did (next episode!).

So back to the Rewatch question. I’m OK with Liar Game 2. Same day and time, I guess?

  80. Liar Game 2 will be my first watch, you guys will have to bear with my many “why?”.

  81. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, no problem, I also cannot remember why (LOL) for some of the stuff.
Generally it’s a pretty straightforward show, so not too hard to ‘get’.

It’s the jdrama version… or the only version called Liar Game 2.

  82. @GB, you have to tell me which version though.

  83. Liar game 2 is quick. With the final movie after.
I think we need to give links for the drama. To feifei.
Did you watched season 1? Else, we have links too.

  84. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Yes, @WE,… but the links to Liar Game 1 and 2 are somewhere in the MDL chat. Do you have them handy?

  85. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, I believe this one is Liar Game Season 2.

    https://novamovie.net/liar-game-the-final-stage-2010

I can’t find a usable link for Season 1. It’s a quick watch if you want to watch it. The main actors are the same as Season 2.

  86. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, try this link for Season 1… this is to the first Season and Ep 1. The resolution is not great, but you can see what’s happening.

    https://dramacool.tube/watch/liar-game—season-1/ep-1

  87. @GB thanks, the link works. I had watched Season 1 and should be able to locate a workable link.

  88. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, sorry the other link to Season 2 seems to be just the ending movie, after the series. The drama series link is still not found… Maybe @WE can find some usable links to Season 2 series.

  89. @GB I can find the links myself. Found it on some ahem sites, not sure if I should post the link here. Hint*** my Asian tv

  90. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@FF, noted. Let’s see if anyone needs a link before we post it. 🙂

  91. The links was posted here. They are better than poor quality dramacool.

  94. I tested the links. Sadly it’s right. The last step doesn’t work anymore. T T
It would need to upload that on file sharing website.

Thanks GB, you made a good resume.
As we see, it’s a quick rewatch.
No idea about the final movie, but maybe it would need to start one hour before?
Else it needs to split in two.

  95. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, we shall see what @FF and anyone else has to say about the 2 hours and 13 minutes movie. I can keep to the same time or start an hour earlier. I’m not sure about others who may have appointments on Saturdays.

One of our Bitches is able to be on line and chatting for over 4 hours!!! I was amazed.

About the episodes, @FF says she’s ok with the link that she found, so you may not need to upload your episodes to a file sharing site.

  96. Well ok. I’ve a bit of obsession with HD image quality. 🙂
4 hours? A bit long. Of course watching is ok, but doing also 4h comment?!
