Note: this is a work in progress. I’ll add gifs/screenshots when I see them on tumblr, and add my comments as I work my way through this cdrama.

- Episode 9 (19:00). Waiting for a taxi to take DJ to the hospital.
This was an accidental forehead kiss. They were worried how the other person would react to the kiss. She wondered if she should pretend that nothing happen. If she reacted, she might look like she was creating unnecessary fuss. However, if she didnโt react, it might look improper like she didnโt mind it.
On his part, he was worried that she would be repulsed by their accidental physical contact (or “skinship” as they say in kdrama world) and become shy around him. He actually considered “coming clean” with Sang Yan about the accidental kiss but he decided against it at the last minute. I took this as a sign that even back then, he knew that his feelings for Sang Zhi were private and personal. He kept them hidden from his buddy because he knew that his friend wouldn’t approve of them.
I’m adding this, @agdr03. This is a finger kiss. Lol.
2. Episode 13 (epilogue). A strawberry-flavored finger kiss.
I think they’re aware of what just happened. Although she’s shocked by his audacity, she’s having a hard time controlling her grin. Meanwhile, he looks like the cat that ate the canary. He did something naughty and private, but apart from calling him “Shameless!” she doesn’t seem to be furious. Her reaction/nonreaction confirms his suspicions that she likes him in secret.
3. Episode 17 (2:22). At Yihe University. SZ said she knew what DJ did and she demonstrated it.
This is his air kiss.
Updated 9/29/2023: Looking back, this reminded me of the time he touched her cheek with the milk bottle.

Then, she kissed him in a surprise as counterattack.
4. Episode 17 (3:00). Her demo/counterattack kiss.
I think he approves of her “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and a kiss for a kiss” mentality.
5. Episode 17 (33:33). Their first kiss on DJโs birthday.
I can’t believe there’s no gif for this scene!
6. Episode 18 (19:32). Another forehead kiss.
After SZ confesses to DJ that she really likes him “a lot,” he gives her a forehead kiss. I think, @agdr03, the forehead kiss is a sign of gratitude because DJ understands that this is a huge step for her to expose herself and reveal her hidden feelings for him for the first time. He’s moved by her confession so he kisses her on the forehead kiss. He wants her to know that a) he treasures her sincerity and that b) she has nothing to be anxious about because he too returns her feelings. He likes her a lot, too.
And I also like the way he brushes her hair to the side.
7. Episode 18 (8:45). Ice skating date
You’ll have to read my upcoming write-up to know what I think about this scene. lol.

@agdr03, I was shocked when I moved away from the States to find that countries that don’t make a big deal about Halloween or Thanksgiving have no brakes when it comes to that rollercoaster down to the Christmas holidays. I was always thought Nordstrom’s department store in Seattle very classy to not display their store decorations until the day after Thanksgiving. (But their employees must have hated giving up a part of their holiday to decorate!)
Yes, we’re getting adverts already for Holiday bookings at restaurants.
@Fern, we were at a top department store today and they are getting ready for the Christmas decorations already. ๐
Our Costco here have Halloween and Christmas decorations on each end of the store. ๐
I think I donโt mind seeing Christmas decorations as early as September, thereโs something about it that makes me happy. โบ๏ธ
I like the skate kiss because even when DJ was teasing SZ about it by counting 1,2,3 and then running away from her, but when he was ready, he was ready. ๐ฅฐ

There were some Halloween things at our TKMaxx, but it’s a niche market here — not celebrated or appreciated by those who think it’s a weird pagan American holiday. It’s true that even for the little children, it’s more about scary, creepy or witch/sorcerer type costumes. You don’t get many super heroes, princesses, animals or film characters as might be the case in America. It’s odd, because we always learned that Hallowe’en started in Britain.
Too bad this list won’t include discussion of a hickey, as we’ve had opportunity to do in the past. Oh well…
I don’t know about other places around the world, but a harbinger of fall here in the USA is the appearance of pumpkin spice products on store shelves and seasonal menu items in restaurants.
@Welmaris, I shall have to check the local branches of Very Large Coffee or Burger Companies here to see if we’ve been P-spiced or not yet. We’ve had a revisit of summer this week, so it may not suit people’s tastes yet.
