And you know what makes me jaded about his antics? Every time he donates, it’s media-played. Like why? Does he want to rehab his reputation as the “Donation Fairy”? [insert my eye roll here, an eye roll so big that I can see the back of my head….] Just donate anonymously, for pete’s sakes.

It’s like kdrama plots, isn’t it – where the bad guys always try to do charitable deeds by calling the media beforehand – the public is hoodwinked and nobody investigates their regular shady dealings 😛 As you said, the good guys don’t need to publicize that they are good unless they actually weren’t 😉 That in itself is suspect!

I don’t know if I can work up the courage to watch Train to Busan even with today being Halloween. It’s been on my watchlist forever.
I’m enjoying via Spotify favorite OSTs with some spooky sounding music: It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Mystic Pop-up Bar, and You Are My Spring. Does anyone else have recommendations? I suppose I should check out Doom at Your Service and My Roommate is a Gumiho.

I am enjoying my first watch of doom at your service. I do need the threads on this website to understand it.
Well, I finally mustered the courage to watch Train to Busan. I can see why it is an iconic contribution to South Korean cinema, and cinema in general. That said, I’m glad I watched it on a smallish TV screen during the day and could pause it when I was getting overwhelmed.

I loved Gong Yoo in this role! I have watched “Train In Busan” with my dongsaeng.
It is funny when I recalled a memory where I do remember watching an article about the cast and Gong Yoo especially back in 2016 when they were in Cannes. Little did I know that I would pay my full attention to him some years later…
I have not watched Squid game but I imagine this would be a good horror show
