4 Comments On “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract: Ep 3 & 4 Open Thread”

  1. Kalimera @Packmule3!

Thank you for the thread! Let us see what it will happen tonight!

  2. @Cleopatra,

The green-eyed deity didn’t intervene; TaeHa did end up crashing his car. Thank goodness! I would have called out the screenwriter for the faux pas of introducing a “deus ex machina” so early in the story.

    The crepe myrtle.

Yes. It’s her tree alright. The grandfather had scored it to mark her height and the scoremarks were still there.

    The marriage contract.

This episode is when they signed the contract. I like YeonWoo’s stipulation. Lol. However harsh his conditions were, they were mitigated by her demand that she be treated as a princess because she was raised like one.

    I’m liking her maid.

YW and her maid haven’t met but her maid is — as usual — wow’ing everybody with her “simple skillsets.” Back in Joseon, her maid amazed the servants when she displayed her frying skills. Now in Seoul, she had small girls lining up and paying her to braid their hair.

Secretary Hong was smitten by her martial arts, too….

    The butterfly painting.

I can see know how YeonWoo will fit into his lifestyle in the modern world. I originally thought she would have to work as a fashion designer. She was an excellent seamstress and famous clothes designer in Joseon. He manages a department store in Soeul. She can continue to create fashion under their “house label.”

But then, in this episode, I can see another avenue for her. She was from a noble family in Joseon period. She was surrounded by items that would be considered museum pieces in current times. His family has a collection of artifacts just stashed in a storeroom. She can curate the pieces and establish the museum.

  3. More observations.

    The female junior secretary.

She seems to have a crush on TaeHa. I hope she doesn’t betray her boss later when she finds out that he’s married YW.

    The stepbrother.

I’m sure he’s going to fall for YW. I like the way that TaeHa told him to stop messing around with his “Anae” (formal term for wife). And YW looked thrilled when he said it.

  4. Dear @Packmule3,

Sorry for my late response. Well, I didn’t expect that he will have another car brought to him. I agree with you though. “Deus ex machina” at this point would be pointless.

Yes, I thought as well that YW would be a fashion designer, but she can also be an curator! Her knowledge of the past is power and Tae Ha can use it as well.

I really like SaWol. She is so clever ! I think Secretary Hong will fall for her.

Also, the stepbrother is growing on me. So far he is stepping forward helping TaeHa and I appreciate it. He is cocky, but he is not bad per se.

What I really liked on episode 4 is the fact that the Green-eyed Deity brought them together to Yeon Woo’s tomb and gave access to TaeHa’s memories from his previous reincarnation. Which will set their relationship in a more balanced way. Tae Ha thought that Yeon Woo was lying when she was not.

    And my favorite part!
Lee Mi Dae is the reincarnation of her mother that will oppose that evil step mother in this lifetime! HA! When I saw her, I knew that she will help Yeon Woo and Tae Ha. Let us see what it will happen in the newest episodes.
