I believe that the latest episodes even for paying customers are only available to the VIP level of viewers, ie the ones who pay more to get the episodes sooner. I’ll wait quite happily for Episodes 17 and 18 to show up.

There have been several near misses of the lip-meeting kind. And at last we reach the next level.
I just saw the trailer for Ep 21 and found myself hooting with laughter. Now that’s really a gem of a meeting!
@GB YES! Lots of complaining on MDL about all the fake-outs, but hopefully the remaining eps will make up for it LOL.
@Stacy… heh! I just FFD the fake outs when they go into long stares and slo mo. Once or twice, I can tolerate but not when it’s repeated here and there for several episodes!!
I notice that Eps 17-19 have slowed to showcase Guilin and it’s mostly sweet nothings. I’m looking forward to the consternation that will undoubtedly crop up when certain parties get to find out about the OTP.
Sidenote: @MM has asked that fewer episodes be covered in each thread. We might ask @pkml3 to change to 4 episodes for this particular thread and the ones following.
My streaming site seems to have stalled at Ep 19 now. It’s an odd number. Usually they come out 2 at a time. And if MDL is right, then tomorrow (Tuesday) there will be no episodes airing. I find the schedule strange but am not able to find out why.
@GB, the station must be televising something else tonight. Thatβs all I can imagine. I wonder if weβll get 2 episodes per week from now on?
@Fern, there will be 7 eps this week and 7 eps next week, but the airing schedule is Wed-Sat this week and Thurs-Sun next week. Two eps per day for three days then one ep on the 4th day, then skip 4 days and repeat. Sigh.
If anyone is ever interested when watching future dramas, the airing schedule can usually be found in the photo section for the drama on MDL once the drama starts airing.
Thanks @Stacy. I’ll look at the photo section on MDL whenever I’m wondering when the next episode will air.
A break today means I can probably catch a movie or something else! π

I just thought to say that hearing our leads speak in an interview, got me appreciating that Zhou Ye can act the naive, young girl well, because she’s quite different in RL. I won’t post a link to the interview as one of the things they said is a spoiler.
I also watched AvenueX’s review mid-way into the show and agree that this is not really a drama-drama… meaning that there’s so far no actual proper plot. If the rest of the episodes continue as they are doing now, we’ll have enjoyed a very pleasant hiatus from dramatic drama.
I was not able to last through Warm and Cozy, but I’m perfectly happy to be gliding slowly along with this couple as they navigate mostly gently flowing streams, surrounded by beautiful scenery, listening for the delightful sound of music/birds and eyeing lots of good food. This is a happy fairytale, ‘in dream state’ show, and likely something I didn’t know I needed!!!
@Growing Beautifully, we may get a bit of drama with Opalescent, the other singer. I noticed that GS hasn’t told the ML about her contact yet. GS is aware that the ML and the other singer were linked by gossips. Then there’s the fan/stan base… We may be heading for the light rapids – like the bamboo rafts in the river!
@Fern, light rapids sounds like great fun!! I’ve tried white water rafting once… it was actually dangerous, (I was accidentally hit on the head by a paddle so thank heavens for the helmet!!! And friends fell into the water and were washed down river) but we survived.
So Ling Long is called Opalescent on Viki? I was thinking he’d come out all protective and not let his girl come into contact with the persistent, hardcore fan (or is she a stan)? But maybe he’ll respect Gu Sheng’s agency and let her choose what she wants to do.
Had to watch eps 20 and 21 on my phone because my laptop screen shattered π«π«π«. Just thankful I can still watch while I wait on a new screen to arrive.
Loved both episodes. And LOL at Jumei sending MQQ back yo his own room to sleep πππ
@Stacy IKR!!! Jumei was too much. He literally kicked MQQ out of the bed LOL. I thought they had another couch in the living room where MQQ might have ended up sleeping, but it was all good.
LOL the Ling Long scene (which surprised me) and the mum scene (which turned out better than expected). I was waiting for those.
Show really knows how to pack in feints of trouble that amount to more sweet times.

@GB, I really liked that the drama made it where it was Jumei deliberately irritating MQQ so he would go back to his own room, which is just slightly different from the novel.
In fact, I really can’t complain about any of the changes the drama has made. I’m always aware that there will be changes when a novel or manga/webtoon is adapted to a drama or movie, if only because some things just don’t translate well to the screen. But too many times a drama will make changes that just don’t make sense. So far with LMLMV, the drama has pretty closely followed the novel and what it has changed and added has made sense and has fit in well with the original story. I love it when a drama can pull this off. Kudos to the screenwriter and director!
@Stacy, I’m so glad that you commented on the novel and this adaptation. I was just about to ask you the very same thing… about whether the adaptation is close or not, and whether it’s better than the novel.
I’m finding that Show is deliberately making the character of MQQ tick every single box of the perfect boyfriend checklist. He’s a girl’s (and her parents’!!!) dream come true as boyfriend and future husband.
I managed to catch Episodes 22 and 23 and the best boyfriend game is still being played very strongly indeed!! I guess we’ll just keep having new situations where MQQ proves himself again and again. He’s going to win over all friends and family of his girl. The most challenging bunch will be the cohort of male cousins. That will be fun to watch.
I wonder what it is about the execution of this show, that everything it does is delightful instead of being too bland. I’d have usually given up by now when a plot is errr…. missing LOL.
Watched eps 22 and 23 last night. The events of those two eps are not in the novel and honestly, seemed to be a stage for PPL. It was the most obviously PPL dialogue I’ve seen so far but it didn’t dim my enjoyment of the episodes π
LOL, Grandpa seems to be the only family member that sees through Gu Sheng’s lies about where she is.

I like Ep 24. At last we get the backstory of the beginnings of the Dubbing Club.
I needed a break from the stress of Death’s Game, so I paused that show to come here and to watch something without stress.
