Thanks @pkml3! Was this thread automatically posted or did you have to do it manually?

We have to take a tie-breaker vote for the next Rewatch Show because several of them had 5 votes each.

Sadly it looks like Signal2 will not air. If it were to air we’d not need to vote at all!

  2. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Oop! Actually, when I checked the votes, the clear winner for now is Pinocchio, hence we do not need to do a tie-breaker re-vote yet.

And we did say last week or so that the next show will be Pinocchio, another Park Hye Ryun drama!! Here’s the link to the voting results.

    The MDL Synopsis of Pinocchio:
“The idealistic Choi In Ha has her work cut out for her when she becomes a broadcast reporter, especially when she suffers from a condition known as “Pinocchio syndrome,” which makes her break out into hiccups whenever she tells a lie.

Her rookie colleagues include Choi Dal Po, whose shabby appearance masks his true eloquence and sharp memory; Seo Bum Jo, a wealthy heir who has had everything handed to him in life; and Yoon Yoo Rae, whose fangirl knowledge comes in handy in covering the news. The 20-something newbie reporters pursue justice as they try to discover themselves in the process.”

  3. It automatically posted, @GB.

“Pinocchio” (2014) should be an interesting watch. I wonder how the message/premise of the drama holds up after 12 years.

Many thanks @pkml3! I’m glad the automatic thread posting worked, but you’re still up so late (or too early on a Saturday)!!!

  5. Evening GB — see you in an hour.

“Oh…its calling me.. Going out for a bit. It should be ok, right?” (BG)

    Nooooo Bok-Gil!

(Spoiler) She makes it sound like the Call of the Wild or maybe a dainty bit of window-shopping, but looking back I wonder if it isnt the cat-instinct to hide when near the end?

  6. The bookstore owner. Wow what a resume the actor has! One of those who have made kdrama what it is today!

Park Chul Min. Trained as a stage actor in the 80s, like all the best, and moved into film/drama. Broad, physical comedy that reminds me of the old Broadway here as also reflected in films.

  7. Na Woo’s aunt — there is a funny resonance with the actress’ day job maybe — she had just debuted as the leader of MAMAMOO. Such a respected group in the years afterwards? The bookstore owner would really have had a celebrity crush then!

    Kim Yong Sun / Solar.

  8. Back to Gato Imaginario. (Viki frequently decides I am living in South America or France for my tab labels. Its ok, Instagram thinks I am Chinese and refuses to translate Mandarin into English for me, although it is willing to help with all other languages.)

  9. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Hi @IB! Bok Gil felt the call to wander as cats seem to do, however we find that she hardly went far. She did ‘hide’ or disappear, but she was not crying out to be found, so I wonder too what drove her.

  10. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

LOL @IB, about being treated as Chinese… I don’t use Viki, hence I don’t know about tab labels, but what a dreadful bore to not get English subs for the cdramas!!!

  11. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Hi Everyone, let’s start NOW!!!

  12. Hi GB & IF.

  13. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    Hi @WE!

Bok Gil has gone out for a walk and didn’t come home all night.

  14. Ah yep, it recaps this now. The cat goes out.

  15. Oh no, The streamers stay in their proper places and give me what I need for subtitles for shows!

Maybe I should say it is my browser for the tabs for my shows if streaming? Unable to locate me in space due to privacy choices the browser guesses wildly!

On Instagram one’s feed varies depending on the entity trying to guess/ keep up with one’s tastes and I probably get Mandarin posts which do not really have an activated translation into English.

    Just a joke!

  16. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

No wait, not all night, they say she was gone for 2 hours? JH only slept a while that morning?

I wonder though why they sound so desperate. Cats can normally take care of themselves. It’s JH who gets hurt. BG will be fine.

  17. oops here I am for the recap!Hi GB and WE!

  18. AH, I’ve a news: The girl here, Na U, she’s in Yumy Cells s3. She’s the writer assistant, but I couldn’t recognize her. She’s still cute, but a bit more “generic” cute. I find her better in Imaginary cat because her face is more original. I don’t know where it comes from, maybe the make-up. I hope she didn’t make a surgery.

  19. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@IB Despite his unpleasant words and threats, that book store owner never did fire JH.

  20. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, RE the actress Cho Hye Jung… yes I noted it last week that we see her now in Yumi’s Cells 3. I think she lost weight so her face changed a bit.

  21. Seeing this section for the third time I realize that YSH isnt over-acting at all. It is a very finely detailed description of any distraught pet owner. He is confusing present trauma with past trauma (exgirlfriend). It makes the very always-present-oriented Bok-Gil so adorable and funny in contrast.

On a practical note, what the sweet vet says is true but makes the wandering scarier for JH is that apartment cats are not normal. they really have no idea of sutvival outside.

It just looks over the top because NaWoo’s actress has a hard time harmonizing her second attack of distress (Not just crying cats, but a rying girl, yells the neighbor!) with the much more sophisticated YSH.

  22. It was a BIG drama !! Everybody cried.
But the cat is safe now. 🙂

  23. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@IB, I agree that JH has had enough losses so that he’s transferred all his affection to the Cat who is now his family. He’s also transferring his trauma over ex-gf to BG.

  24. Good thing that the library boss has a crush, he’s less painful for SH with that in his mind. 😉

  25. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, it feels like an overdone ‘drama’ over a cat who did not wander far. But I guess it was illustrating something about the humans, more than about BG.

  26. @GB, I took note about Pinocchio. Ah, it’s the better for me, as I already watched it once, some years ago.

  27. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, yes the next show to rewatch will be Pinocchio. I’ll put in the dates with a couple of breaks maybe.

  28. It’s really a korean cat. She thinks “Aigoo”. 😂

  29. Bok-Gil on top of YSH’ chest, “Hey! Do you want me to sit here all day?” So he leaps up from his lowest point in the drama!

Calling the troops into action –Hae Gong, the fellow art student (Kim MinSeok, a powerhouse mainstay)) and our NaWoo and some icky bonebroth (HG grabs it).

  30. NaU takes care of his booboo. 🥰

  31. That bit about the soup and a famous poem — its actually a pretty nice point — the juxtaposition of ‘high art’ and the mundane — the kids are ‘toon’ artists after all. It doesnt stand out as much now as then,. plus not speaking Korean — am I right?

  32. Drawing on his cast little pawprints — I think Na In Woo is getting prettier somehow…

  33. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

The poor human has to have all the bad things happen to him in the beginning. At least BG can tell that he needs a hug.

  34. The ending of this episode is great.

We communicate with our emotions, not language — not just interspecies but also inter-genders. Still a good message today!

And we can see that JH is much more in practice with relationships than he seems on his stubborn, ornery, outside.

  35. @IF, it ends on an emotional note. No cliffhanger, while it’s an even episode number. Strange as it is.

I’ve to go now, I wish you a good week!

  36. Bye @WE!

  37. @GB, WE brings up a point I was thinking about — do we still have the same structural expectations in this almost rom-com? So are we at the midpoint where the couple finally get together? The hot compress, the bandage refastening and the scarf re-tying…He finally starts to think it might be nice to have a girlfriend like her?

  38. Numbers — the usual paired episodes with the link being a cliffhanger….Instead a new nice song during the teasers?
