What Are We Watching in October 2026?

Buckle up! No less than 8 kdramas are premiering in October. I can’t write “My First Impressions” for each one so recommendations from the crew are appreciated. Thank you! 💐💐💐

1. Your Personal Taxi

This is a healing show.

A taxi driver plays a song request for his passenger, and the ride – I’m guessing – becomes a trip down memory lane. I don’t know if his passengers are dying or already, but if I were the screenwriter, that’s how I would frame this journey. CTH would be the friendly version of Greek mythological ferryman Charon who guided the souls across the Acheron and Styx Rivers.

Cast: Cha Tae Hyun (“My Sassy Girl”)
Episodes: 8
Start Date: Thursday, October 1
Airs on Thursdays (not sure if all episodes will drop at once)
Where to Watch it: Netflix

2. Between Steps

Ex-swimmer and ex-medical resident meet again in university.

Cast: Choo Young Woo (“Head Over Heels”) and Kim So Hyun (“Love Alarm” and “River Where the Moon Rises”). Lol. I often mix up the spelling of the actress Kim So Hyun and actor Kim SOO (double O’s) Hyun’s names.

Episodes: 12
Start Date: Monday, October 5
Airs on Monday and Tuesday
Where to Watch it: Please Viki or Netflix1
Network: ENA

3. Merry Berry Love

This is a story of a Korean guy failing at his job, so he hies off to a Japanese island where he meets and falls in love with a strawberry farmer. This is a collaboration between a Korean and Japanese production company, so I expect a tearjerker, e.g., the Japanese girl has terminal disease. Japanese dramas love to contemplate death.

Cast: Ji Chang Wook (he’s the reason I’m curious about this show) and Imada Mio
Episodes: 10
Start Date: Wednesday, October 7
Airs on Wednesday
Where to Watch it: Disney+ (Bah!)

4. Take Charge of My Heart

Romcom. The male lead is a chaebol with a battery-operated heart. The female lead is a struggling writer who was once struck by lightning, so she discharges electricity. He hires her to be his personal charging station until he can get a heart-replacement surgery.

Electrical charging session = skinship

This kdrama should be a riot because Kim Young Kwang’s forte is playing an annoying rich man-child.

Cast: Kim Young Kwang (“Hello, Me”) and Chae SooBin (“When the Phone Rings”)
Episodes: 10
Start Date: Friday, October 9
Airs on Fridays
Where to Watch it: Netflix

5. Doctor X: Mafia in White

A Korean adaptation of Japanese series.

A genius surgeon starring Kim JiWon. That’s all I need to know.

Cast: Kim JiWon (“Queen of Tears”)
Episodes: 12
Start Date: Friday, October 9
Airs on Fridays and Saturdays
Where to Watch it: Netflix
Network: SBS

6. 100 Days of Deception

An elite female pickpocket is hired by a Korean independence group to infiltrate the Japanese government in Gyeongseong (aka Seoul). She gets entangled with the elite interpreter (yes! they’re all elites 🙄) working in the Japanese colonial government.

My main reason for watching this kdrama is the director, Yoo In Shik. He made “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and “Dr. Romantic.”

Cast: Kim Yoo Jung (“My Demon”) and Park Jin Young (from GOT7. I didn’t watch his “The Witch”)
Episodes: 16
Start Date: Saturday, October 10
Airs on Fridays and Saturdays
Where to Watch it: Netflix
Network: tvN

7. Make Me Tingle

To borrow the famous lines of that Hongdae Guy from Youtube –
“Are you open mindeu?”
“Do you libe alone?”

a man wearing a black leather jacket with the words hongdae guy written on the back

I double dare the BODers to watch this show! @ibisfeather? @GB? @Welmaris?

Synopsis: A conservatively raised woman meets the CEO of sex toys. 🤣

Cast: Nam Ji Hyun (“To My Beloved Thief”) and Kim JaeYeon (oooh. I like this guy but I couldn’t watch his “Idol I”)
Episodes: 10
Start Date: Thursday, October 15
Airs on Thursdays
Where to Watch it: Please, Viki, stream this!
Network: tving

8. Love in Disguise

Chaebol guy (another one!) is a suspect in a murder case. Female police detective goes undercover as his male secretary/bodyguard to investigate him.

I’m watching this to see whether SiWan has learned to kiss his leading ladies torridly. Go, Siwan!

Cast: Lim SiWan (“Misaeng”) and Seol InAh (she played that 2nd FL who had drunken sex in “Business Affair”)
Episodes: 12
Start Date: Monday, October 19
Airs on Mondays and Tuesdays
Where to Watch it: Dunno where. Hope it isn’t on Disney+
Network: tvN

9. Final Table

Chefs competing on a culinary survival drama.

Cast: Ahn Hyo Seop (couldn’t stand his last farming show; hope this one is better)
Episodes: 12
Start Date: Saturday, October 24
Airs on Saturdays and Sundays
Where to Watch it: Amazon Prime?
Network: jtbc

Phew! That’s all folks!

What about you? What are you watching this month?

    @pkml3
You made me giggle. Sexy toys COE? I’ll have to think about that! 😉

Take Charge of My Heart is the only one that tickled my fancy.🙂‍↕️

I’ve been off kdramas for several weeks (except for my rewatch). We may venture into the OTT Penthouse for our next rewatch just for the height or h*ll of it!!! As usual Everyone’s invited to join in. That will be in November sometime.

    See ya!

  2. I am curious about exactly the same set of shows but 6-8 and 2 arent available to me.

Most excited about Take Charge of My Heart.

About 100 Days of Deception — Park Jin Young was amazing in Our Unwritten Seoul with Park Bo Young. It seems as if he stepped up his game there, but hoping this show will be good. He has been doing solo singing of great old covers online, so hopefully a real OST will accompany.

    #7

  3. Oh c’mon. Join me @GB for laughs. Pretty please?

I chuckled when I saw the guy accidentally bumped the girl and dropped the big box of condoms he was hauling. Nam JiHyun ended up on the ground, lying on top of long packs of colorful condoms and moaning (so subliminal!). Hahaha.

  4. For any others to add, I have to wait until the last minute to see if something might show up on Viki, so I cant make plans.

I do make prayers though, and I am really hoping to see Between Steps with the amazing Chu Young Woo as a disbaled roboticist; @WE’s fave Kim So Hyun is FL,and 3 of my fave supporting aces, Kim Min Seok, Seo Jung Yeo and Park Hyuk Kwon ensure that things will be stellar.

  5. @ibisfeather,

It’s so annoying that even with subscriptions to Netflix, Viki, Kocowa, Amazon Prime, Youtube, and IQIYI, I can’t access a few dramas I want to watch.

BTW, have you seen this British miniseries (3 episodes only, IIRC), “Seeking Persephone”? I miss western shows like that — romantic, CLEAN, pretty and smart heroine, and none of that “Diversity and Inclusion” claptrap like in “Bridgerton”. It isn’t groundbreaking by any means. It’s like a water-downed Jane Austen movie. And tropes are ubiquitous (but not cliches! lol).

But if the production company continues to release miniseries in the same vein, I may sign up on its streaming site to support them. It’s currently on Amazon Prime but you must pay extra.

  6. My bad! I forgot about “Between Steps”. Yes, that sounds interesting, too. Let me add it to my list. Thanks.

Now, there are nine. Lol. Did I just jinx myself? I’m suddenly reminded of Agatha Christie’s detective mystery, “And then there were none”? I hope I don’t end up disappointed with none of the above kdramas living up to expectations.

  7. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@pkml3 I watched “Seeking Persephone”!!! I loved it! The actors did a great job of acting as Brits LOL.

Yes, so hard to get one of these sweet period romances without the raunchy sxx scenes. I mentioned it in maybe the August WAWW threads. I’m keeping it on my own private rewatch list so that when I need a bit of simple costume romance, I can just watch bits of it.

  8. I am watching “Four Hands Two Sonatas,” an angsty piano makjang. It will end this weekend, hopefully on a high note.
I am on Episode 5 of “Against the Current” and I am addicted.
New dramas I am interested in:
“100 Days Of Deception.” I like stylish period dramas.

  9. Hahah that’s a lot
Thanks @pm3 for all the research
Would like to see all of these 😊

I am currently watching 4 hands and it’s painful.

I’m also watching A Love other than yours.

I’m rewatching TKEM for some reason and love ep 6 so much.

    🍂🍁🎃 everyone at BOD

  10. “recommendations from the crew”… and the list is set up neatly by date…hmm, sounds like a party!
Thursday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday (2 shows!) and Saturday!

  11. Between Steps has been, unfortunately, picked up by disney.

  12. Boooo.

And then, there were eight… lol.

At least, “Take Charge of My Heart” is on Netflix. The official trailer just popped up on my YT.

    https://youtu.be/Hotu8dydii4?si=8SG4Q0G2_Ce1h7Nh

  13. You’re welcome, HK_Lady.

Isn’t “A Love Other Than Yours” depressing? Are you rooting for the couple to stay together or move on with their new romances?

A nephew of mine called off his wedding about a month before the wedding. We had just gotten the actual invitation and tried to register our attendance on their website. When we got a message that the link was broken, we thought nothing of it and waited a couple more days. When we still got the error message, we knew then that it was called off.

Oh well. Sure, the deposits are nonrefundable, but a divorce will be more costly. It’s one of those “better now than later.”

Yes, fall is officially here. Last weekend, I bought pumpkins for the front porch, and changed the welcome doormat to a spooky house theme for Haunted Halloween.

  14. Same here, @Snowflower. I don’t expect to discuss the color grading, but I’m sure this director will use warm orange tone for the nostalgic effect and earthy brown tones to give the scenes an old world feel. The costumes should be fun to watch, too.

  15. @GB,

    Re. “Seeking Persephone”

I thought the actor who played the heroine’s father was a miscast. He looked just as old as the hero. Lol.

I didn’t get why the hero was insecure about his looks. He looked like a typical bloke. Was it his scar on that side of his cheek?

I wasn’t surprised that he was pretending to sleeping every time she joined him in his bed. Of course, he was! But it was sweet that he wasn’t embarrassed to admit that he was waiting for her to come.

The wolves! That was straight out of Disney animation, “Beauty and the Beast.” But I liked the way he snarled at crooked innkeeper, “I am the LAW.”

I initially thought the hero’s best friend was secretly attracted to him. I was prepared for the screenwriter to shove Gay Pride down our collective throat like all Hollywood films do, but I’m relieved that the screenwriter didn’t go that route.

  16. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

    @pkml3
    Seeking Persephone
The hero thought his scars were visible underneath all that hair. It was his right ear that had been badly cut up due to badly done surgery when he was a baby and they thought his ear was ‘missing’.

He is the sullen, uncivil type to discourage social discourse but privately he was lonely and could be a warm sort of person, and a perfect gentleman with his wife and mother.

The thing about him being the law is that he left the innkeeper in the gibbet. We do not know if that fellow died of starvation in there.

At least he does listen to reason.

  17. Here is a topic. Which show to watch first starting on the 9th?

For Netflix viewers this is difficult:

    1. Take Charge of My Heart,
    2. Doctor X (kdrama one)
    3. or 100days of Deception.

    All noted above.
I guess for me, the old two minute watch will decide as they drop.
Themesong, colors, camerwork, pace, and dialogue. If my heart goes bong! I eventually watch — but not, not.

It worked for Blossom in the Clouds. I gave it the 2 minute but was doing something else at the time. I hear from others that it was fun.

  18. @ibisfeather,

I’ll open a thread for “Take Charge of My Heart” so you all can go ahead and discuss it with or without me. It should be light and fluffy.

“100 Days of Deception” will probably need more study because of the director. I disliked his “Vagabond” (starring Lee SeungGee and Bae Suzy) but liked “Dr. Romantic.”

“Doctor X” — depends if I’m into badass heroines on that day.

Remember that we’re not mydramalist, reddit or the other drama sites. I gatekeep new posters because I don’t want to scroll through numerous posts just to read one with a salient point or two to share.

  19. Viki is picking up Make Me Tingle.

  20. Alright-y. Thanks for the update.

In the last two months, iqiyi is underperforming, and I’m getting my dramas mostly from Netflix and Viki.

  21. Your Personal Taxi turned out to be available only on Korea Netflix so far.

  22. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

Guess what!!! I rewatched Signal in May 2024 but now I’m rewatching it yet again. It remains just so good. I’m making more notes and re-reading the old rewatch episode threads. The richness we find in these old shows that keep giving more over time, is hard to find in our recent shows.

I notice that the episodes were way beyond 1 hour… hence 16 episodes then was more like 20! I wonder if they can squeeze much into 8 episodes, … will see if the 2nd Season really does show up in November.

  23. Between Steps- Disney+
    Make Me Tingle- Viki
    Love In Disguise- Amazon Prime
    Final Table – Amazon Prime

Seeking Persephone- You can watch for free with ads at Tubi, Roku Channel, and Sling TV

  24. do we have an open thread for “Against the current” ?

Packmule3. – i finished the series / drama and would like your take on the last episode – Jinqi’s conversation with XLX. What did she really mean by saying one lifetime is enough.

  25. About how and why kdramas are less and less good, recent years.
I post here a video called: “How Netflix Ruined Korean Dramas Forever”.
(what I said a long time ago, but everyone was thinking I was a fool: Netflix is a trojan horse, able to destroy kdramas and more, just korean culture.)

But don’t get the wrong idea, it’s not adressing the issue quickly.
It’s not a silly guy throwing eggs on the fly. It’s patience and analytic tone.

Instead, it’s a deep study about the whole kdrama industry, from the early ages. Utterly interesting. Just amazing, all the difficulties of the industry from the very first dramas ever produced, in the 70s, with lot of details about everything, numbers about finance, and all the process of making a kdrama. It’s the full history, up to the current days: why it was hard back then, and why it’s even worst now.

  26. Wow, @WE. Amazing clarity (not done yet, just wanted to say.)

  27. The last third, discussing short-form, was really interesting. In China I see kids making their rent in short-form and still breaking into long-form. I dont know when this was filmed but you can see in china a real dependance on manga/novels/games for script inspirations, to the point that one doesnt always know who did the screen adaptation.
In Korea the phenomena one could see, ballooning budgets, fear of failure, a real stratification of actors’ salaries…are made clearer through the narration.

Imagining oneself in the midst of the industry, the actual cast-and-crew ensemble was the heart of the Korean machine, lean, well-trained and endlessly flexible, although overworked and cruelly driven.

Can you imagine having suffered so long, to then be offered a relatively larger amount of money? And in a situation (as this makes quite clear) that you are used to the bosses being incredibly rapacious anyway?

I have a feeling that Korean production houses have started to fight back for IP etc as he descibes. In the movie industry I think have heard something like this already. Didnt Kim Go Eun at some gala say “I am to bite the hand which fed me” (which I interpreted as the Korean broadcasters etc.

  28. oh BIG OOPS.
I am NOT going to bite the hand that fed me(!!!!)

  29. @IF, about last part, it made me going out of my XXX. Vertical dramas: it’s completely anti-artistic about the image/format, and a story-destroyer for the sake of dopamine, for people watching it on tiktok with smartphones. A blasphemous atrocity!!

  30. I know.

  31. Shortform can only remain a subgenre, after all is said and done. But it is extremely interesting that people watch it instead of long-form. Yet another rip-off.

I wouldnt call it blasphemous. I would call it entertainment porn. You have noticed that China is moving in like a behemoth to tame short-form?

Wait and see, wait and see.

  32. @WE, that article actually made sense of the Chinese model, where big dramas are only made on pretrialed format — web novels, webtoons, games..and he points to shortform as a way to get material pre-trialed.

I found following cdramas lately on air wildly confusing due to the wayward desires of chinese fans of the novel and or any of the above. But what the producers want is a pre-set audience for the script, not just for the ‘traffic’ actors.

Meaning, if you were a writer with a longer script, you could go the other way. Get a short form version produced and released and if it is successful your longer script has a selling point. Like a synopsis.

  33. I stopped watching the landmark cdrama Against The Current at ep40.
It just didnt blow me away.

I am now happily watching the 2012 kdrama The King 2 Hearts.
I am (just) trash(y), as the King so frequently says of himself.

  34. @IF,

I am on Episode 16 of Against the Current. If it gets boring later on, which episode is a good place to stop?

I finished Four Hands Two Sonatas. There were makjang elements and plot holes, but the acting was excellent and the emotional payoff made it a worthy watch.
I am interested in Between Steps, Take Charge of My Heart, and 100 Days of Deception.

  35. I wanted to watch kdramas after publishing last episodes of W2, but damn, I can’t. Now, I’m in a new rush about “fixing english translation”. I could do first episodes quickly (and 12 last episodes are already done too), but it’s becoming more and more long to do, because the drama has this weird timing:
    – Ep1 to Ep13 are ~30 minutes or less.
    – Ep14 to Ep35 are ~45 minutes.
    – Ep36 to Ep54 are ~60 minutes.
What’s make the real midpoint of the drama at the end of Ep32.
Now, I’m fixing Ep21, so it takes more time, I can barely do more than one episode a day, when I can fully work on it during my freetime.

About how it’s important to fix the english translation, I just found one of the worst error ever, and most funny error ever as well, in the episode I’m working on. There is this line:
“You have to think of yourself, and desire to make yourself come.” 😁

Then lot of other lines of this kind. But the flawed translation is: we think the girl can’t come in the sexual way. 😲 HOW CRAZY!! 🤪 And next, there are several lines about that. Suddenly the drama goes into a total nonsense because of the bad translation. Someone try to help a girl to “come” in any way. GOSHHHH! I just had a big laughing fit when I saw that. 😆

It wasn’t easy to fix, any proposition from Grok were bad because it made loose any other comedy in the scene, and it was complicated to change everything according even the best proposition, I switched to Google gemini to study the case, and could get “and want to make yourself come over.”, giving clearly the idea to “come in a place” (and not to come in a sexual way). So I chose that. But I think that it’s even better than the french line, because when we read it in english, it creates a weird moment when you didn’t read “over” yet. So some kind of humor that can only work in the english version. 🧐

I really needed to say that.. lol.. 😅
    SO… it’s the main reason why I don’t watch kdramas these days. 🙃 😂

  36. Hi Snow Flower! AtC? I really loved episode 38. Episode 39 was hardly anyone’s favorite. Apparently the rest is fun enough if you want to go all the way, but I stopped after 40.

  37. Take Charge of My Heart!
That was really fun. Clean, professional, sophisticated but simple, direct and quite sincere, oddly enough.

I havent done a proper netflix all day binge in months! I really like most of the actors in this show and it is a limited cast and only 10 episodes but somebody has done their romance homework and there are some twists, a sojourn in the countryside, all the necessaries.

Still nothing topical, kdrama without Korea in it, no social issues, the usual murderous chaebols. If it werent for the stupendous house that Ho-Rang lives in (yes, he is called ‘tiger!”) this could be any city anywhere, gentrified and tidy.

But it was fun. For the first time I really loved ChaeSooBin, and for the nth time, thrilled to see KYK loping around.

  38. @WE, ‘come over’ as in the invitation? “why dont you come over to my place” Usually that has to be well-located in a conversation and in a neighborhood locale.

Once you overuse any word like that with the double entendre, even the actors start laughing at themselves.

  39. @IF, the problem was from the french verb “Venir” = going where I am.
The sentences are made like this: “Tu dois venir”.
But my blind first translation was word for word without thinking about english idioms, what made this absurd translation: “You must come”.

It sounds right about the verb because “to come” is the exact translation of “Venir”, it’s just americans gave it an additional sense that isn’t used a lot in french. Then the only easy fix I could find is “come over” because it doesn’t destroy the sentences as they are, just adding “over”, and hoping it’s ok about english. But my goal wasn’t to create a double entendre with that, just to delete to wrong meaning. The other fixes I could find modify the sentences and destroy the comedy from the dialog, as it’s about a confusion where the girl should go.

  40. I started “A love Other Than Yours” as I could see this drama is driving people mad on the internet. I can’t say a lot, as I’m in first episode but:
    – Awesome first scene, excellent second one.
    – Then, often surprising about how situations turn. We go in a scene, getting the wrong idea first, and it leads to something unexpected.
After half an episode, it’s all right. Remembers me a bit “We are all trying here” about the tone. Comedy of manners (comédie de moeurs).

  41. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@WE, I was laughing over the reason you cannot watch kdramas.

I guess you will do a search for all instances of ‘come’ and read the sentences around it to make sure it’s saying the right thing!!

  42. Just started Doctor X. There it is! The dance-in-your-seat theme song and the joy of vengeance against those creeps in the white coats! But only at the beginning of the second episode.

  43. @snowflower I was ready to stop watching after episode 39(I agree with @IBISFEATHER) I sped watched until the last episode. Parts of the very last episode were well worth watching.

  44. @snowflower I do not want to say more because I do not want to spoil it for you. There are also some good scenes in the episodes I sped watched.

  45. Make Me Tingle looks like it is dropping on viki on thursday (15th). I am looking forward to it!

  46. GrowingBeautifully (GB)

@IB, I won’t be able to watch dramas for the next 2 weeks. Please let me know how you find “Make Me Tingle”.

  47. Will do, dear @GB. Good luck!

  48. About MMT — Nam Ji Hyun makes all her leading men become better people onscreen. Cant wait to see her effect on JaeYoung. I loved Idol I; it used KJY’s somewhat unsettled screen presence to great practical effect.

  49. MM and I just finished up a rewatch of Beauty Inside, good to the last drop!

This week we will start The Rebel (2017): about the Korean Robin Hood, Hong Gil Dong. This show was written by the writer for My Dearest.

It seems as if the fall and winter are shaping up to be goodtimes on the historical front for both c-and-kdramas. Sacred Jewel, anyone? Assassins?

100 Days so far, so great.

  50. @IF, I love The Rebel! You will be humming the theme song forever, it’s that catchy! The rest of the soundtrack is great too.
Yay for more sageuks coming! Hope they are all good.
I liked the first two episodes of 100 Days of Deception.

  51. @ibisfeather,

Ryan Ren (aka Ren Shihao) that actor from “Snowfall” who made a deep impression on you has a cdrama out on Viki.

    Quite the Girl
Episodes: 29, 4 are out already
He plays a rich guy in love with a problematic girl.

Tell me if it’s good. Thanks.

  52. @pcml3,

It is a vertical, so not a real show, more like a shockfest. I can only bear the ones that make me laugh, I need that space of artificiality. Since it is RSH, who has a great sense of timing and really enjoys his romantic tasks, I am enjoying it so far.

(warnings: suicide, anonymous first night, physical abuse)

He has a support role coming up soon in Veil of Flames.

  53. @ibisfeather

Is a vertical drama the same as short drama? I made a grave error of watching the short drama “Ruler of My Heart” and I still can’t forget the ordeal. Never again.

I like groveling tropes but this one was torture. I believe the Chinese have a name for this level of groveling: “wife-chasing crematorium.” Lol.

The woman (typically, the wifey) is a doormat. For some reason that’s only rational to the man, he mistreats her, shames her, ignores her, takes up with a mistress, blah-blah until he ends up driving her away. After she’s gone, he realizes his mistake and chases after her. But he can’t win her back until he self-immolates, figuratively-speaking, of course. Hence, wife-chasing (he chases after her) + crematorium (he self-destructs and comes back a new man).

RSH should be great at angsty roles, though.

  54. I am not yet clear on vertical/short drama. The verticals are, I think, the very shortest of short (2 minute episodes) and can be watched by swiping vertically, while standing in, say, a subway car.

Short-form is where Quite The Girl lies, probably, since the eps are probably about 12-15 mins minus the intro and credits. Shows with a 20-30 minute format are noticeably different.

My concept of short-form is that they are similiar to the plot notes of a gothic romance writer overwritten by a standard soap-opera hack from any country any era.

The payment method described in the third section of that very useful video WE posted applies to both forms, vertical and short, I should think.

The main thing to understand is that this is the wild wild west of online streaming — enormously, insanely profitable, borderline porn, and every single corporation and nation on earth is scrambling to rein it in, get some taxes paid on it, and get a piece of the pie.

For young actors, these quickie shows represent rent money and usable visuals for self-promotion. I am not sure how actor-management views the whole process.

  55. Where The Mask Ends.
The new TXW cdrama that dropped yesterday on netflix is pretty entertaining, its like the Cdrama equivalent of makjang. TXW plays twins, one evil and one sort of good. The ML, Yan An, is holding up ok under the onslaught of her talent.

  56. Who’s TXW again?

Is she that actress from “Pursuit of Jade”?

I noticed that Cheng Lei (Ryan Cheng) that actor from “The First Jasmine” with Bailu has another cdrama out.

    “The Lament of Autumn.”

I’m going to skip it for now because I’ll get it mixed up with the kdrama, “100 Days of Deception.”

  57. Quite The Girl (Viki shortform)
Yes its good. Not a husband-crematorium. A Ctrauma. But this is a much more tender thoughtful show than usual. For a shortform this uses quite a bit of ‘letting emotions develop’ face time with voiceovers, so it feels as if it has more depth.

    Quote from Ep9.
“In the face of absolute sincerity, all elaborate schemes and plots are destined to fail.”

Ren ShiHao has that rare face, handsome and intense but not pretty. He can really ACT, besides being very focused on his romantic tasks. Rainbow Xu is excellent alongside him.

Liu Tan, the director is an experienced shortform guy, just about to make his move into longform.

  58. 😂 Why did you watch it, @ibisfeather? I thought you were going to skip this!

  59. I have skipped MMT, it was sort of cringe.

But I would never miss anything RSH does. Hopeless fan.

Didnt mean to give u the impression that I dont watch shortform, just wasnt sure you would like shortform craziness if you tried it without warnings.

  60. Lament of Autumn is pretty popular. Cheng Lei is acting his lovely uniforms to tatters; his skills are really impressive.

There is some discussion about where the role he plays is heading. Chang Xuan, a young warlord in the making (the ML’s name) at first appeared to be a good guy hiding under an attitude of dont-care, but lately he seems to be too ready to cross lines of propriety.

I am watching, under the spell of the music, the flirtation and the slow pace…..so far.

  61. I’m glad that four episodes of “Make Me Tingle” dropped at the same time. I would’ve given the show a miss if it didn’t because the first two episodes were cringe-y as you said. But it hit its stride by Episode 3.

I ignore the sex toys. To be honest, I don’t know what they are and how they function. But where is @agdr03 when I need her? She’ll make this show funny to watch.

As for the lecture on love, sex, marriage, and scratching the itch (e.g., one-night-stands and friends-with-benefits situations) it’ll be fun to discuss these when @GB gets back. I’ll try to hold the fort till she comes back.

  62. By the way, there’s a glitch on the blog network. I see that the usual posters like @angelswingssf, @Table122000, @monmor, @WEnchanteur (and you, @ibisfeather) are encountering “failed login attempt.” I don’t know how to fix it. I’m hoping that it will fix itself. I’ll contact the host site on Monday when I have my personal laptop.

If you have something VERY VERY important to share on the blog though, just email b3tchesverdramas at gmail.

    Sorry and thanks.
