The case looks like the big final fight of DP vs IH mother.
Good to see Ahn Chan Soo making good use of the reporters and the different stations working together.
He has to explain why he looked careless and only did a cursory look around and walk away.
@WE, it’s a long fight. She’s such a wily one, clever with words and retorts.
Poor Chan Soo wants to have a birthday celebration for his child but his friends carry him out LOL.
Great sense of detail, giving the idea the writer did a serious investigation about policemen and what they carry, and transform it into a plot point. It’s what was saying the teacher at university (younger I had one year of screenwriting course).
@WE, yes, that’s true. Just some research makes for a richer scene. Audience is more satisfied that the accusations are shown to be baseless.
Criminals who use the same methods are just asking to be caught. Once a repeated pattern is found, investigators will not let go.
Song Cha Ok always has so much to say at the meeting to which she should not be admitted. IH and BJ have to deflect attempts of the news to find fault with Chan Soo.
It’s something I liked in the kdrama Giant. The writer dig into history and building techniques. So the can pull a twist about a underfloor heating boiler.
@WE, that’s the way it should be. Find out about reality and then write the plot to use the knowledge well.
Song CO is getting into trouble now with all the young people finding out that the video footage she showed could not have come into her hands as from the plant. This is proof that she’s getting insider info and spinning a story that is not true.
Poor IH will be more and more wracked by guilt over her mother’s hurting Chan Soo.
IH wants to help Ha Myung go through all the CCTVs in the area. That’s a crazy amount of work.
Hard time for IH, it’s clear her mother is a POS. But who knows? Maybe this bad mother will change at the last moment?

IH feels so guilty that she won’t eat or rest or take care of the blisters on her feet.
Good that her mother hears her speak about how she’s affected by her, how she’s not apologising or taking responsibility for her wrongdoing.
Good scene between the YGN and the MSC teams. From their conversation we hear that Il Joo has been also giving false reports.
What a good scene of aegyo and hiding the true action taking place. While protesting that he won’t do it, the police chief breaks the rules and gives info to Ruby.
They find out what the edited parts show.
lol, writer finds a way to put additional drama, because IH feet bleed, so rich boy can scold DP. 😀
IH had a trauma from the time they were kids and DP hated her because of her mother.
@WE, I like how Writer brings back the early school days when Chan Soo had been mean towards DP. He now understands that what he did was wrong and why,… and admits it now and apologises. So Writer is “completing all the half-drawn circles” or rather we come back full circle.
Song CO having cold sweat now that she cannot find her old cell phone.
After all the times he’s been ignoring her, how can Ruby still think Ha Myung likes her.
In a kdrama, basic subtext is: when someone is scolding you are is angry about you is because this person care about you. yehh… Too bad, I hadn’t the opportunity to put a scene like that in W2. I’d need to dig deep to find if there is an opportunity I missed, but as I remember the whole thing, I don’t think there is.
@GB, yes!! I don’t know how to call that, so I call that correlations, it’s when there are a lot of links, or interlinks all over the various time, meaning, events or symbolism coming from anywhere in the story.
@WE, I’m not sure that every time a person scolds it means they care, but definitely there’s an emotional tie somewhere.
So Ruby finally is convinced that the one HM likes is IH.

If Ruby is “agile” enough, maybe she could hit rich boy instead? 🙂
The good think that came out of IH’s suffering because of her guilt is that HM has to take stock again of how he feels about her.
LOL, troublesome Ruby ends up drunk and once again in the reporters’ room. The men don’t know what to think of her. Can’t do anything with a strange girl. They’d get into trouble!
@WE, Ruby is not too smart in emotional areas. But she can probably guess that rich guy is not interested in her.
HM finally sees that IH still has his button around her neck. He could not even give her a proper pendant.
Yet, Ruby is quite proactive and competent as a journalist. She shows more initiative than the others (but well, we never really watch what the others are doing).

Oh I am so sorry again! I didnt see the thread yesterday and did wonder if this was the week off, but the truth?
I stayed up late bingeing Take Charge of My Heart and got going very slowly. 2 cups of coffee and a dogwalk later and it would normally be about 9am, instead here I am ashamed at noon.
@IB, not to worry. Have a good binge watch weekend next week too. We’ll hopefully be back here on 24th Oct, if all goes according to plan!!
