Thanks for doing this @JT7! I was planning to get all the YT clips but ran out of time. I’m glad you gathered them all in one place, and you did it on your own initiative. 🙂 Thank you, too, @Snow_Flower, for identifying the musical pieces!! I’m reposting @JT7’s link out here so it’s […]
Start-Up: Ep 13 Quick Take
If you’re Team Geek, this was a fun episode to watch. If you’re Team “Good Boy,” the best part for you was probably the two seconds in the preview for Ep 14. Team JP would be like: Here are my highlights: ******************** 1. InJae and Dalmi = Elsa and Anna of “Frozen” I like that […]
Tale of the Nine-Tailed: Have You Seen These, GB?
@Growing_Beautifully, @agdr03, @Phoenix, @Cleopatra and others, Maybe I spoke too soon. Maybe I should watch this kdrama with you after all. Maybe I would have had a blast writing a kiss analysis of this scene. 🙂 Gif credit: dingyuxi’s tumblr source: dingyuxi’s tumblr I wonder how many people were involved in filming this. […]
Start-Up: Eps 13 & 14 Open Thread
The thread is now open. As I said before, the comments on the Start-Up threads will be limited to old-time posters. They have a proven track record that they know how to interact well with others here, and I don’t need to moderate their posts. If there’s a newbie with a compelling argument, however, I’ll […]
Start-Up: Is Dosan a Manipulative Sadboy?
In my other post (link: Start-Up: Ep 12 On Maps, Letters, tre and Pride), I wrote that a lurker, @letsgetthisbread, wanted my opinion on Dosan being a “manipulative sadboy.” I’m so happy I found this blog because I have been pretty annoyed by the comments in social media about the two guys. They’ve been calling dosan a […]
Start-Up: Ep 12 On Maps, Letters, and Pride
I’m into analogies lately. I said: Money is to JP as Precioussss is to Gollum. Now, I’m saying that “Tarzan” is to Dalmi as “sailing without a map” is to Dosan. Those words are their “keywords.” She was working on a Tarzan project and test-driving a Tarzan car. And Dosan was sailing without a map […]
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Wishing you all a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving! –pm3 Gobble. Gobble. Till you wobble! ************************* Let’s play a game! Try to guess from which drama these pictures of food were taken. 1. Sharing kalguksu is important. 2. Handmade noodles 3. It’s a cream festival. 4. Food porn! 5. The size of the beltfish […]
Start-Up: Ep 12 On JP’s Precioussssss, lol
Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. ************************** Money is to JP as Preciousssss is to Gollum. A. Money has always been a JP’s #1 love. If you rewatch Episode 1, that was how the young JP was introduced to the show. He was looking at his money. When Grandma asked him, “What can […]

Start-Up: Ep 12 Tarzan??
I don’t usually comment on previews but let me give you the connections here. In the preview we saw these: a. the prospectus on “Tarzan,” b. Dalmi in a car telling herself she could do it, c. And then the car with “Tarzan” on the hood and grill. It had to stop in front of […]
Start-Up: Ep 12 On JP’s Growing Self-Awareness
Don’t say I didn’t warn you. ******************* Grandma uses NoonGil that Dosan made for her. Grandma: Yeongsil, can you read this for me? Yeongsil: Sure, one second. In the dark, JP watches her. We see a flashback of his discussion with Dalmi on the cost of funding the NoonGil project. He ridiculed the idea of […]
Start-Up: Ep 11 Quick Takes
Just some quick notes. 1. Voiceovers Voiceovers are important in this drama because they signify that the character narrating is viewing the incident in hindsight. The viewers are basically living in two timeframes: One, living in the moment as the scene unfolds, Two, living in the character’s present consciousness, reflecting back on the past and […]
Start-Up: Eps 11 & 12 Open Thread
The thread is now open. What to expect this week? Let’s see… 1. Breakup of the couple 2. Breakup of the company 3. Dosan moving to California I’m not being a Debbie Downer here, but the time leap is better now than later. 😂 Let’s enjoy the show!
