Falling in Love with You is the Best Thing I Have Ever Done: Coronavirus Update

Update: 9/4/2020

This show is NOT on. (sniff) I know many “Love 020” fans are still lurking here so I feel obligated to update you all. “Falling in Love with You…” is not in production.

BUT Yang Yang is scheduled to begin production of a drama co-starring Dilraba. It’s another gaming show, “You are My Glory,” created by the writer of “Love O2O.” However, I’m crossing my fingers that *some* of Yang Yang’s fans don’t derail his project with their vociferous complaints that he has been typecast in these gaming dramas. Whatever Yang Yang decides is best for him, the Bitches here in this blog will support him.

You Are My Glory: Starring Yang Yang and ….??

I’ve been slow-witted lately. I noticed that this old post dated Sept 12, 2019 was getting a lot of clicks, but I didn’t understand why until now. People are bored and they want to know when Yang Yang’s drama with Zheng Shuang will be out.

It’s supposed to be released this year, but…

Bad News GIFs | Tenor

Sorry, Love O2O fans.

I don’t know what the current status of this drama is. I don’t know whether they already began filming or not. I don’t know how their schedule was impacted by the coronavirus. I don’t know if the drama will come out this year.

And to be honest, I don’t even know if there ever was such a production in the planning. I’m beginning to suspect that this has been one big hoax.

In the meantime, I suggest watching something else.

There’s Yang Yang’s “King’s Avatar,” although I haven’t watched it because it’s too long. I recommend “Dr. Cutie” — the guy there looks like Yang Yang (if you cross your eyes, lol) and “Put Your Head on Your Shoulder” or you can join us here for Lee MinHo’s “The King: Eternal Monarch.”

I’m sad as you all are.

  1. I saw some video yesterday too about it being a hoax. You’re probably right. They both have separate dramas coming out this year so if they want, they can just watch that. I do miss them too but gah that title is too much. 😂

I woke up and realised we forgot to move our clocks backwards. ☺️

    Good afternoon to you!

  2. So what time is it now over there? It’s 4:30pm here.

  3. It’s 6:38am here, Sunday. 😊

  4. 👍

  5. This is so sad😞 I was so looking forward to seeing their pairing again.
I just just can’t get through King’s Avatar for some reasom, must be because of the gaming theme and zero romance. I tried two episodes of Dr.Cutie and liked it. That drama is definitely an option which I can continue watching.
And of course we have the other Kimg to look forward too🙌

  6. Do you have a map of your Shallow island? You can sketch one and send it by email before our party. It doesn’t have to be fancy. You can google one too if you want.

Nrllee can make one for the Cynical Island 🌴 since she was the one who named all the features. 😂

  7. Hi @Phoenix , 👋🏻 I finished King’s Avatar but only because of Yang Yang. It’s definitely different because of the game theme. Yes, it’s very sad we might not see this reel couple again.

I finished Some Day One Day too. I’ll comment after lunch. 😊

  8. @packmule3 Sure I would love to try my hand at making a map of Shallow Island. How do I send it though? As a normal post here? Can I copy paste the image on the body of a post? I’ve never done it in the past; so wanted to know.

  9. @agdr03 Oh you are good 😇
Do tell me when you have time if Some Day One Day has an open ending or not. I don’t like those and hence am wary of going ahead with the drama. Did you like the drama? If you did, then I’ll tey it out. In the meantime, it’s probably Dr.Cutie for me. I’ve started it and its cute, as expected. May give Memorist a try too. I like YSH.

  10. Just send it b3tchesoverdramas at gmail.com. I can retrieve from there. Or you can post it here, too. I think nrllee just copy and paste the images here without problems. I usually see the images as a link on my laptop. On my iphone, I can’t see the images though. 🙂

  11. @packmule3 Sure. Will try both😊
I’m excited to draw the map 🤩🤩

  12. I checked both Yang Yang and Zheng Shuang bios at MDL and this drama has been removed from both of their projects list, so it looks like the drama has been cancelled for now. 🙁 Too bad. I would have liked to have seen them team up again. But I can’t be too sad with the news that The Sweet Love/The Love Equasions will premiere April 10, and About Is Love is getting a Season 2 with all main cast returning!Yes! April is looking good for Shallow Island with cutie Simon Gong able to join my WDH.

  13. Thanks for the update @Table122000 👍🏻 I’d watch About Is Love Season 2 definitely. 😊

  14. Thanks @Phoenix 😘 I’ll let you know when we get our dream beach house one day. 😉

There’s spoilers here ok. With Some Day One Day (SDOD), I did like it even with that issue at the end, Chen Yun tried to end her life. 😔 I totally wasn’t expecting it but then if you think about Chen Yun’s life then yeah you can understand where she’s coming from. It didn’t happen in the end, thank God. Alice Ke and Greg Hsu were great together. You’d really root for their character to be together, their a fresh pairing for me. The ending was open ending but I didn’t feel too bad about it? Mainly because they did get to have closure and I felt that the open ending worked for me.

As much as the time switch is really visible, I didn’t get lost which is surprising. 😄 Usually I’d be like, what happened there? 😄 But I was able to follow, if not I’d be out already.

I really love Shi Shi’s song for the series. 😍 So nice!

  15. I’m sure you’ll like Dr Cutie too just like me and @pm3. ☺️

Yes, watch Memorist as well ok, even without the romance I actually like the series because of the thriller mystery and YSH. ☺️

  16. Hmm I’ve been wanting to put images here too before but when I paste it, it doesn’t show. I’m not sure but I’ll try it next time. Thanks 😊

  17. “You’d really root for their character to be together, their a fresh pairing for me. The ending was open ending but I didn’t feel too bad about it? Mainly because they did get to have closure and I felt that the open ending worked for me.

😄@agdr03 Thank you for the update on Some Day or One Day. I really like the writing of this series – it’s a skill to have such a complex storyline and yet not make it confusing at the end. I like the pairing too. Given my apprehension about sad endings, I confess I cheated and found out that there is an extended ending scene which was release later (it’s not on Viki). You can check it out if you haven’t already (is English subbed). This made me happy 🙂

I’m continuing with Dr. Cutie. Will give Memorist a try too as I know our tastes in dramas are similar 🙂

  18. @Table122000 @agdr03 Is About is Love good? It’s not on Viki or Netflix in my region. Will need to check some of the other sites, if you recommend it.

@agdr03 @pm3 I’m quite liking Dr. Cutie. Will go back and check your open threads here.

  19. Aww, thanks @Phoenix 😍 I wasn’t aware of that extended scene. It’s nice to see them together and Li Zi Wei at 28 years of age. That was nice. ☺️

I agree, the writing is complex with the interchanging of reality but you can still follow so it was good. The writer of SDOD is the same with Dr Cutie. 😊

Yeah, try Memorist, you’ll like it too. I think I’ve gotten used to mystery thriller because of He Is Psychometric. 😊

  20. @Phoenix-
About Is Love is definitely worth checking out if you just want a fluff drama. This was my crack drama when it was airing-just too cute! And you get 3 couples, so lots of romance! The drama is not without flaws but if you are looking for a light, breezy watch it is a great choice. I really liked it and it was one of my favorite dramas of 2019. Here’s my overall review from the Soompi forum:

    Series Review:

Interesting characters and nice performances by an engaging young cast help to make this light, breezy watch a fun time. 3 cute couples each with a different love story, strong female friendships, a female lead who stands up for herself, along with her 2 awesome gal pal roommates are the strong points for me of this drama. The second half was way better than the first half when the drama pulled away from the tropes and the cliches to allow some nice individual character development to occur and the story was much more interesting. Main female lead got a brain in the final 8 episodes, and I only wish she could have been that way for most of the drama. I wish we could have had more development of the 2 side romances instead of some of the repetitive filler, but it is what it is. Everyone was pretty to look at and gave a nice performance. Loved the 3 couples and now want to see more of all the actors in other projects. (Yan Xi is my new crush!) Drama wasn’t perfect, but I found it an addictive watch. Definitely a “binge watch” type of drama for when you want a nice, light rom com.

This drama wasn’t picked up by the usual places. A dedicated fansub team worked on the drama. Unfortunately, many of the links there are not working, but I’ll give you the info to try-it might work for you.
Good news is this drama is also available on the “other sites” and an YouTube.

  21. @Table122000 Thanks so much☺️☺️ Liked your review too. Sounds like a good, light, romantic drama to enjoy on a weekend. In these difficult times, we need some light fluffy type dramas to take our mind off all the relentlessly depressing news! Will watch this right after I finish Dr. Cutie🙌

  22. @Phoenix- You are welcome! This is definitely a light watch. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on this drama. It definitely had flaws, but overall I couldn’t wait for the next episode. Some viewers thought the FL was annoying, but I could see where she was coming from although for most of the drama she is the “cute but dumb” sterotype. I guess I’ve seen it now in so many C Dramas I just powered on through. Plus, her 2 roommates were so cool, especially the “brainy” one.

@agdr03- Yes, About Is Love Season 2 is slated for 2021. I’m hoping that the drama plot will be even better than Season 1 but I look forward to seeing all the cast again.

  23. Me too @Table122000 , I look forward to seeing all the cast again and hopefully the story will focus on the relationship of the main couple. I didn’t find the FL annoying at all. This series had good kiss scenes too, if I remember correctly. LOL.

  24. Yes, @agdr03 the drama had some great kiss scenes. Actually, I was surprised by how passionate the kiss scene at the pool was. The chemistry between the main leads was really good. I’m looking forward to seeing those 2 together again. Have to say, it was hard to see FL with another actor in her latest drama Please Love Me. It took me a while to get used to it. That’s how much I liked the main couple. I was OK with the FL as well and didn’t find her annoying. Especially loved her in the last 10 eps of the drama. I’m hoping we get a nice balance of storyline for all 3 couples in the season 2, and I hope everyone will use their own voices and no dubbing for the season 2.

  25. Yes I was thinking about the last kiss scene in the pool. 😄 I agree, the main leads here have great chemistry. I didn’t realised that it’s not their voices again. I guess it doesn’t matter as I didn’t noticed it. 😊

Are you watching any other cdrama? I’m looking for my next one but I haven’t really looked that hard.

  26. 😂 My first online Sunday School Class via Zoom with 11boys (aged 10-12yo) was chaos. Gotta laugh.

    Me – Who said that?
Me – Mute your mic please Ethan.
Me – Can you see what I have screen shared? No? Why not?
Me – Don’t keep changing your virtual background Casper.
Me – Why is everyone on the Chat? 😂.

A new world but we soldier on and pray that some of it is sinking in.

  27. Thanks for sharing @nrllee , that is funny. 😁 Yeah, it’s a whole new world of learning during this time. I’m glad my boys are good with computers. I don’t think I’ll survive with this learning style back in the days. But then back in the days they would just stop school completely and no learning at all. It’s good with this technology stuff.

  28. @nrlee That’s hilarious🤣

If it’s any consolation, adults are no better. I recently conducted a virtual training for our organization’s newly hired employees and it was the exact same situation! Everyone was on chat (100 people from all over the world), typing thousands of messages till I realized I had to give them a specific window to ask questions so that they don’t interrupt the session flow. There were dogs barking in the background (presumably somebody’s pets), phones ringing, somebody breathing into their microphone- and I had to tell them to go on mute again and again. Some of them couldn’t see the screen while some couldn’t hear me – it was chaos for a while!

So I can feel your frustration 1🙌 But we soldier on, as you said💪💪 This is a new reality where all trainings and classes for both children and adults need to be virtual only till we don’t know when! I’m sure we will get used to this too and find out inventive ways of making it work☺️

@agdr03 How was the virtual Sunday mass?

  29. It was lovely @Phoenix. Thanks 😊

Cardinal Seán Patrick O’Malley, did a great homily remembering the most memorable Psalm Sunday’s for him. First one was April 1968, after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr, second was April 1980, the funeral for Archbishop Romero who was assassinated while celebrating mass and now April 2020 with COVID-19. He talked about Simone of Cyrene and Joseph of Arimathea. I was very moved and he really lifted my faith and my trust in God that everything will be alright. 🙏

    Sorry, I’m babbling. ☺️

  30. @agdr03 That is so moving! We need faith and belief that things will be all right in the end. I’ve stopped checking too much of social media because it distresses me and just check the news once or twice in a day. I would like to believe this kind of crisis brings humanity together across regions to find strength to overcome this.

  31. You know it’s only Hubby that listens to the news now. I usually check my news feed but when the headline is depressing, I don’t bother reading it.

True, that’s what we’re hoping for, for people’s kindness, humility, generosity to come out from this pandemic and to be united in overcoming it.

    It will come. 🙏☺️

  32. @agdr03
Wow! How great you were able to attend a Virtual Mass. We live in amazing times.
As for new C Dramas, I am waiting for April 10 when The Love Equasions/The Sweet Love will premiere. It’s by the same author of Put Your Head on My Shoulder, so I’m expecting another cute campus romance. Plus, the male lead is Simon Gong, so eye candy! It’s been liscensed by WeTV and Viki so there will be subs.
Otherwise, I did take a quick look at Novoland: Castle in the Sky Season 2, but I think I’ll wait until that one is over and binge watch.
All my other Mandarin language dramas right now are Taiwan.
Some Day Or One Day- I’m catching up on it now.
Drunken To Love You- Hillarious silly rom com starring Rainie Yang. Definitely check it out if you are in the mood for a silly watch. It’s available at Viki and also the “other sites”. Usually the other sites have the Dramafever subs, which I sometimes prefer over Viki subs.
Amensalism-Romantic Suspense/Thriller about a guy who can see death. Kind of reminds me a little of He Is Psychometric. This one is currently airing and Viki has the liscense. So far, the team has been good about editing and releasing the episodes within a week, usually about 3 days after upload so I’m enjoying this as a live watch.
I want to watch Dr. Cutie but the editing is still at a snail’s pace. Same goes for the editing of Well Intended Love 2. I really don’t understand those people over at Viki sometimes. They just don’t care about people who don’t speak english as a first language or anyone else who needs or prefers to watch when subtitles have minimal spelling/grammar errors and clunky/confusing dialog translations. I guess they feel once things have been translated in english no matter how poorly, everything is OK and if other folks have to wait a year or more, fine. Really, I get so frustrated with them sometimes. Ok, rant over.

  33. Thanks for the cdramas update @Table122000 , I will try and watch The Love Equasions/The Sweet Love. I liked PYHOMS so hopefully it will be a cute campus romance. I’m not familiar with Simon Gong but he looks cute enough. hehehe

I’ve finished Some Day One Day and I did enjoy it. I’ll see how I go with Drunken To Love You. I’ve actually started on The Great Seducer and I’m reading up on @pm3’s thread about it. Glad to have her notes on it.

Dr Cutie is all subbed at Viki, where are you watching it?

  34. @agdr03
Oh, The Great Seducer/Tempted! I enjoyed that drama even if it did have a lot of flaws. Doing your research on WDH in preparation for The King, right?
I’ll be interested to read your reviews on that drama and Drunken to Love You.
Drunken To Love You is just silly FUN!

I am trying to watch Dr. Cutie at Viki, but I need to watch it Edited. Yes, it is subbed but the translations are often too clunky for me at Viki, so I am waiting for the “cleaned up” edited version. The Editing is way behind and they are doing about 1 episode every 2 weeks for editing right now. Edited episodes are at Ep. 14 for Dr. Cutie. I have decided to just stop watching Dr. Cutie for now and I will check back maybe in July or August to see what the progress is on the editing.

  35. 👋🏻 @Table122000 , this is a silly question but how do you know that a drama is edited in Viki? 😬 Just so next time I know whether it is or not when I’m watching my next drama there. I’m clueless with this things. True too that sometimes the subbed doesn’t go right with the conversation that’s going on. Thanks 😊

Yes I’m watching WDH in Tempted in preparation for The King. There’s something about his looks and voice that always pulls me in. ☺️ I’ll get back to you once I’ve finished the series. I’m only on episode 2. I’ve put Drunken To Love You on my list to watch but it’ll be later. ☺️

  36. @agdr03 Not a silly question at all since Viki ( as usual) doesn’t make things clear about editing. There are 3 ways I use to check to see if a drama is edited in Viki. 2 of them are relatively easy, the 3rd takes more digging.

Method 1: Check the Show Page
This is the easiest way. Somewhere on the Subtitling Team Section of the drama page (usually at the top) they will list the episodes that have been edited. It will say something like “Episodes 1-10 Released for All Languages” or “Ep. 1-3 Released” or “All Episodes Released”

Example: Amensalism- There is a Red Box at the top of the Subtitling Team Section https://www.viki.com/tv/37034c-amensalism

Other Examples: Bride of the Century: https://www.viki.com/tv/36854c-bride-of-the-century
    Go Go Squid: https://www.viki.com/tv/36059c-go-go-squid

Of course, not every team bothers to give this information. Another thing that happens is that the teams do not update the information so the box is not correct. Example of this is when the info says Ep. 1-8 Released but the drama is 2 years old so you know that can’t be correct since the Viki Team worked on it 2 years ago so more episodes must be done. So, how do you check for edited episodes when there is not any information in the drama page or you think the info is not correct?
Here’s the thing…languages other than English cannot sub episodes until that episode is edited and “released”. So you can always check individual episodes to see if they have been subbed in other languages besides English. How to do this?

Method 2: Check the Subtitles Information in the Episode Player

At the bottom right of the screen there is an icon of a box with lines and a blue flag that has language info (Eg, EN 100)
Hover or Click on the Icon and you will see Subtitles> at the top of the menu.
Click on Subtitles> and you will see a list of languages that is available for that episode. If it has languages other than English, such as Spanish, French, etc. then that episode is edited. If the final episodes of a drama are available in other languages, then the entire drama has been edited.

Example: Story of Ming Lan https://www.viki.com/tv/35895c-the-story-of-ming-lan
There is no information in the Subtitling Team Section of the Drama Show Page.
If I click on Episode 73, and then click on that Blue Flag Icon and then Click on Subtitles>, I can see that the episode has been translated into many languages. This tells me that the entire drama is edited, although usually I will check a few more episodes just to be sure.

OK, but what if you are “sub stalking” a currently airing drama or a drama that you know the editing is currently being worked on and you want to know exactly what the progress is? Because an episode may be edited but not yet translated into other languages. Then I use

Method 3: Looking at Editor’s Viki Accounts.

You can check any Viki subscriber account and it will show what they are working on. The easy way is if the team members are listed in the Subtitling Team Section information. I will use Dr. Cutie as my example here. Now there is no statement about edited episodes on the Dr. Cutie page. However, they do list the members of the Editing Team. With this information, I can click on the Cutie Patootie Team name at the top of the Subtitling Team Section and then I see all of the team members. If I search in Moderators, I will find the Editors. I click on their name and I see their account. In the Overview Section, it has Project Contributions and Recent Contributions. If I click on Project Contributions- SEE All, I can see the dramas they have worked on. I look for Dr. Cutie and it will give the last episode that they have worked on for that drama. For Dr. Cutie is Episode 14.

  37. Thanks, Table122000. I’ll have to post this on the blog later. This is useful information and I want to be able to access it under “Bitch Talk.”

    Thanks!!!!

  38. I’m grateful for the information regarding subbing at Viki @Table122000! You’re a champ! Thanks so much 🙂

  39. You are welcome, @agdr03 and PM3. I’m glad you find this information useful.
Sometimes you can be OK with the general subtitles in a drama and sometimes you just want to wait for the edited version.
Of course, the negative for this is that Edited subtitles take more time.
Sometimes it can just be a few more days and other times it can be weeks, months. Extreme case-years.
Anyway, lucky for us English speakers, we have the choice on whether to watch right away or wait for editing.

I’ll be interested to read your thoughts on The Great Seducer and Drunken To Love You, @agdr03. Yes, Woo Do Hwan is certainly charismatic. I’m looking forward to seeing him in The King. I hope we can see him again in a leading man role sometime soon.

  40. Last time I said I was on episode 2 and I’m on 7 now. 😱 There’s something special about Tae-huin and Si-hyeon that pulls you to invest in what they have because you can see it clearly. I thought my heart was going to burst when Tae-huin told him she wants to stop and he went on a drinking abyss. 😭

I see too that Se-jo likes Su-ji but it’s clear she likes Si-hyeon. Su-ji is a bitch but I like her bitchiness. 😆 I think I’ve never had that feeling for a character before, a first for me. ☺️

Does this have a good ending? Or open ending? 🤔 I think I’d be heartbroken if Si-hyeon and Tae-hui don’t get their happy ever after.

  41. @agdr03 Oh yes, the Toxic trio (Shi Hyn, Se Jo and Soo Ji)-they were terrible people but definitely multilayered. Sypathetic villians all of them and fun to watch.
As to the ending of the drama…SPOILER ALERT….

Don’t worry, no deaths here. The end was a little controversial for some viewers who felt it was more open ending but I was satisfied and felt it was a happy ending.

  42. Thanks @Table122000, I’ll keep that in mind. I’ll keep watching and see if it satisfies me. 😁

Yes, they’re a terrible trio but all have sad backgrounds.

  43. Isitnecessarylol

Hi! Just stumbled over your blog .. Love020 was my first Chinese drama and I’ve been loving your analysis of the episodes. One thing that I would like to mention is that the drama is still on MDL for both, YY and ZS. As far as I know, the website is legit? So, who knows.. Lol..
Don’t lose hope yet. It just might be delayed due to Covid.. I’ll check other recommendations by you now 🙂

  44. We’ll see it when we see it. 🙂 Thanks.

  45. I found a English translation of the original book
