Edited 2/17/2021. I dropped this show because the writer and director don’t meet my standards. I don’t find anything funny about the: a. drunken-woman/man trope, b. the I-thought-I-had-sex-with-another-person switcheroo, c. the erroneous belief that arousal and/or orgasm during rape is a sign of consent, d. BongHwan’s sexual assault, e. his gay panic, f. rape as […]

The thread is now open for spoilers, rants and raves, expectations for the next season, and discussions of the show’s high and low points. Mr Queen: Ep 12 Dancing on Top of a Sword
Episode 12 Title: Dancing on Top of a Sword I know this kdrama is supposed to be fictional but I still like to have my historical “markers.” If you’re wondering how this character King Cheoljong fits in the Joseon books, there were only 26 Joseon kings. Cheoljong was the second to the last. We’re looking […]

Bitch Talk: Should We Watch These in February 2021?
February should be a time of romance, but where’s the love in these kdramas?? Don’t go all serpentine and convoluted for me, Kdrama gods! All I want is a simple love story for Valentine’s Day!!! 1. L.U.C.A.: The Beginning Synopsis from mydramalist: “LUCA” is based on Charles Darwin’s proposition that all species of life have […]

I’m sure he isn’t going to change his feelings for her anyway at this point. Gifs from liveasbutterflies’ tumblr credit: liveasbutterflies’ tumblr Isn’t […]
Mr Queen: Ep 11 The Unforgiven
The episode began where the previous one left off: the nightmares that the HwaJin, BongHwan, and the King were living in real life. HwaJin believed the decomposing body found in the well was her lady’s maid killed by SoYoung. She tried to calm herself by practicing archery all night. She wished this nightmare she was […]
Mr Queen: The Queen’s Cuisine
I’ve been preoccupied with the plot that I forgot the take notes of BongHwan’s food “start up.” We Bitches love trivia. This is going to be continually updated. Episode 3 1. BongHwan created noodles. Chef: I can smell shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and there’s a rich aroma of meat as well. The aroma of the […]
The Uncanny Counter: A Short Note on Evil
Newcomer majiii started it. (You’re the fall guy here. I’m “blaming” you for starting this. lol) He/she wrote: I cant hate Cheong Sin for his character! His twist as a love deprived child was countering with the evil inside him. It was portrayed well and somehow realistic. Im feeling so sorry for him. I agreed: […]

The thread is now open for spoilers and shenanigans. Let’s enjoy the show.
Mr Queen: Ep 10 Living a Nightmare
This is fairly straightforward because we only saw three nightmares in this episode: a. the King’s recurring nightmare, at the beginning and at the end, b. HwaJin’s nightmare, and c. BongHwan’s nightmare at the end of the episode. That was Soyeong’s voiceover. “There are people who live inside their nightmares. At the very moment when […]
