Let’s resume where I left off. So, what’s a meaningful day for Hari and Taemoo? 1. They’re doing something that they both enjoyed. Hari: eating hamburger Taemoo: watching her enjoying herself Taemoo: Is it good? Hari: Yes. I’ve fulfilled my wish. She meant this, of course. Taemoo: I didn’t know that you liked hamburgers so […]
Business Proposal: Episode 6 My Takes
Kdrama viewers often mistake novelty for creativity when there’s more creativity entailed in flipping a cliché into something new and fresh again. I like “A Business Proposal” just for that reason. I’m familiar with the tropes used in this drama, just like I’m familiar with the wrinkles on my face. But the writer’s unique take […]
2D1N: Ep 116 Open Thread
The thread is open, @Fern and @nrllee. The men will form three teams. Clockwise from left: the “Two Johns,” the “Big and Small,” and the “Young and Old.” I think the caption says “Fantastic Chemistry, coming soon!” For me, this is the team to watch. The caption says, “Nan ‘John’ Kim” or “I ‘John’ Kim” […]
Twenty-Five Twenty-One: Eps 11 & 12 Open Thread
The thread is now open for spoilers and discussions. Gifs from ahsung’s tumblr source: ahsung’s tumblr From this vantage point, he’s boyfriend material. Whatcha Cooking for Meatless Friday, Mar 18?

2D1N: Ep 115 Mini-Review
I’ve to keep reviewing this so I won’t forget what I watched. I kept a tally of the number of games the Young Boys (YB) team lost and won because it seems like the “Young Blood” lost often. But I think the guys held their own against the Old Boys (OB) team. On this trip, […]

A Business Proposal: Episode 5 Quick Takes
This episode is focused on Taemoo’s change of heart. In the beginning, all he wants to do is punish Hari for lying to him. In the end, he does an about-face and forgives her. But before I start talking about Taemoo, Iet me comment about Minwoo. Minwoo visits Hari’s chicken restaurant and he comes bearing […]
Twenty-Five Twenty-One: Ep 10 On Mental Gymnastics
Two things: 1. I get it that there are many theories circulating about Heedo’s and YiJin’s future, and I thank the lurkers for suggesting them. However, these theories are immediately disqualified if the following dialogues aren’t taken into consideration when forming these theories. From Episode 4 a. Grandma and Minchae looking through the album Grandma: […]
